I love this cafe, David and Siobhan are great hosts and you feel immediately welcome and at home. The banter is great - those Easter Bunny Ears š£ š it is probably the best lunch spot in Argyll, the soups are always exceptional, tasty and beautifully presented, sandwiches are so delicious and the cakes and coffee are worth every minute of the travel round. Always worth booking a table but thereās plenty of outside space too. A gem!

Eaten here twice now, first time was for coffee and cake . . . delicious!!! Stopped by the second time for lunch, scampi and chips and baked potatoes. Both very tasty and nicely presented, it's those little touches that make the difference. Staff are super friendly and helpful, definitely a five star cafe.

Found this place during our stay in the island. One of the best coffee's I have tasted in a long while. Also great cakes and friendly staff. Recomended.

This place is a real Gem. Situated in a peaceful surrounding with Highland Cows roaming the fields. Fabulous Artisan ice creams of various flavours. Also homemade rhubarb crumble to die for. Definitely a place not to miss. Dogs are welcomed as was ours. Watch out for some stunning butterflies.

Weāve stayed just down the road from the Gaelic Centre four times now but this is the first time weāve realised that the cafe is open outwith special events. We had excellent coffee and scones served by lovely friendly staff. The centre is very peaceful and has great views. We also really enjoyed seeing the paintings by local artist Dieter Finger - both the landscapes and the impressive portraits of some of the musicians whoāve played at the Lagavulin jazz festival in the past.

Absolutely fantastic 3 course meal ! What more can we say - beautiful fish and game dishes with complimenting seasonal veg. Home made bread and home baked sweet trolly with more then your can handle. Been to several michelin star restaurants and we feel the food here is on a par ! Fantastic friendly family run intimate bijoux venue too. Hard to get booked in but now we are rebooked. Thank you all. See you soon x

Great crab sandwiches and smoked salmon sandwiches. Lobster salad is also very good value for money and very tasty. Highly recommended

Very friendly, welcoming spot. Run by volunteers in the community. Fantastic views of Loch Awe from the terrace at the back!

We ordered 2 takeaway pizzas while staying on Iona and they were soooo good!! I actually can't write this without wanting another one (shame I'm back home). I would definitely recommend Ailidh's if you're staying on Iona and don't want to cook - why would you, with this on your doorstep?! I was going to take a photo of the pizza but I was too preoccupied eating it š¤£

Brilliant place. The couple who run it are really friendly and happy to discuss the food and offer suggestions. We had venison burger, cajun chicken wrap and shared chips. Portion sizes are big and the food is delicious. The chips are great - much better than those served at Talla Na Marra. I've never seen a wrap wrapped the way it was - more like a crepe, but there was lots of chicken on it as well as cheese, onions and salad. Really tasty. Venison burger was huge and melt in the mouth. Add 2 cans of pop and it came to less than £20 for a filling, hot, tasty meal. Couldn't recommend Island Bites more highly.

Love this place great home made food. This is a favourite stop off when up this way. Fab cheese burgers and lots of cakes. Not only food, but garden centre, gifts & sheds. Will be back again soon.
