Brilliant place. The couple who run it are really friendly and happy to discuss the food and offer suggestions. We had venison burger, cajun chicken wrap and shared chips. Portion sizes are big and the food is delicious. The chips are great - much better than those served at Talla Na Marra. I've never seen a wrap wrapped the way it was - more like a crepe, but there was lots of chicken on it as well as cheese, onions and salad. Really tasty. Venison burger was huge and melt in the mouth. Add 2 cans of pop and it came to less than £20 for a filling, hot, tasty meal. Couldn't recommend Island Bites more highly.

Came here whilst waiting for a Calmac ferry - great menu, lovely friendly service, and great priced tasty food. They take cash and cards, which is nice, and will be definitely on our "return to" list.

Eating options are few and far between in Tarbert but this one's a cracker. The burgers are handsome and fish and chips is very good too. The kebab meat wasn't quite such a hit but still hit the mark after a long bike ride. Large portion sizes. All cooked to order in about 10-15 mins. There are a couple of nearby benches to eat at.

Delicious fish & chips in Tarbert, Isle of Harris from Island Bites friendly staff. Was able to order in advance. Support island local businesses at time when ferries are being cancelled.

great stop on our way to the ferry at Tarbert. Most other eateries were shut due to ?? or covid- this was open/ friendly/ safe and welcoming. We first had a coffee [Dowe & Egberts] then went back just before lunch for a bite- we had a lamb quesadilla and chips loaded with chilli/ cheese/ guacamole & sour cream. Both were delicious/ filling and inexpensive. Definitely worth a try thanks

Tried to book a takeaway pizza order from local hotel but they were not serving that night so we went to Island bites and had takeaway fish and chips freshly cooked and delivered to our car just outside their trailer. We then sat in car at a picnic spot with fab views and equally fab fish and chips which were piping hot and delicious from start till finish only £8 per portion which is great value for the amount we had. We also must mention the bacon baps we had one morning again delicious lovely baps and plenty of bacon £2.50 each which was great value . We totally recommend you try this trailer takeaway which is situated on the main street in Tarbet. Closed on Sunday and Mondays. You won't be disappointed.

Wow wow wow! Just picked up a burger quesadilla and a chicken one along with a side of chips to share and everything was absolutely delicious! Food is cooked to order, so it does take a a few mins longer than you might expect, but it is totally worth it as its so fresh. The chips wrte some of the nicest I've had, and the quesadillas were just delicious! Right by the ferry terminal too so really handy. Very friendly service with a smile too.

Nice fish and chip shop in Rothesay. Visited here a couple of times during my stay. Good options on the menu - including gluten free and vegetarian options. Chips were good - a little dry but curry sauce was lovely. Reasonably priced as well. Not visited the restaurant part but the takeaway was good and brilliant service. Will return.
