Subway in Argyll & Bute

I have always enjoyed a Subway sandwich and have been to many stores in the past, and this may be the worst one yet. Very unprofessional service and poor lack of communication. I found my server to be ignorant and rude. On several occasions, I was ignored and stared at. I also found the amount of filling severely lacking in comparison to other stores. The shop as a whole was not well kept. The tables were littered with wrappers and crumbs - it was evident tables weren't cleaned between uses. The only redeeming quality was that it tasted like a Subway sandwich. Overall, I am not impressed with the lack of cleanliness and rude staff. Shocking!

charged over £14 for an order that usually cost £8 in Glasgow, bread stale, fillings paltry :(

Was served by Mujeeb, one of the worst customer experience I had with subway. He was so unprofessional and arrogant.

Was served by Afzal and if that's how staff are trained then something needs to change very quickly. Poor communication and then when I ordered and asked for both sandwiches to be toasted I was met with a tut. Didn't want to offer delivery even though 3 drivers were sat down doing nothing. The place looked a mess and apparently not allowed to edit any of the items on the menu. Won't be rushing back

Always greeted by friendly faces, the staff go out to make your food as well as your day

I was served by Muneeb. Did not understand me and made no efforts whatsoever. Completely uninterested Speaking so low it is hard to hear him. What a joke seriously

First time in a Subway.Went in the other day,I bought 2 x 6 inch subs and was charged £9.98. The subs were very poorly filled.No drink or whatever else you can get, I was shocked when I saw my transaction amount .There was 2 guys serving.I am in contact via email to their CEO. Definitely something wrong here.🤨🤔

Visiting Oban, so I thought, let's have a subway. Well,it was very average. Stale bread . The meatballs tasted very different. Too Herby and didn't taste like meat. Service, was very average and didn't seem to care. . You've been warned

Been to subways all over the uk and america and it the first time being told you cant edit what the board says is the ingredients. Apparently they dont personalize.. assuming its a training issue but the food was terrible couldnt change up a salad or sandwich. Maybe they should google their own franchise to learn what a subway is supposed to be.

Found staff pleasant , food nice but toilet seat hanging off and not very clean.

Good service. not been to a sub for many years so decided to take the plunge. A little odd experience as I assume a staff meeting was going on but it was blocking me actually getting in to the place. No sign of letting me squeeze by easily or leaving once I did get in. The pizza did look good though so fair enough and perhaps a big tell lol

Went in with a few mates on the 9th May, the place has recently changed owners - i used to be a regular with the old management Laura and Stacey and they were great, absolutely brilliant. But since Subway changed hands the place has went so badly, was in today and the bloke couldn’t remember any orders (My grandad with dementia could do better) and the store was an absolute state, food on the floor and a smell of urine from the blocked off toilets. I had ordered my food and the bloke slowly clocked into action, making the bare minimum movements and lazily loading the sandwich up, the presentation was shocking and half the sandwich was falling out, when I went to pay the guy didn’t even know how to use the till, and he tried charging me the wrong amount. Won’t be coming back to the store until something changes heavily. Sandwich also looked like absolute sh***

I understand that this place has recently changed hands but unlike the previous tenants they 2 new men haven’t a clue what their doing. This place is unfortunately finished. That’s it, that’s the review

I spilled a bottle of coke all over our table Toasted tiger roll with ham and cheese very palatable.

it has no toilet and sockets for charging the phone ... too bad the food is prepared.

As expected from a subway establishment food was as expected. However, they advertise the 'Eat Out to Help Out' Government scheme but do not even allow eating inside the establishment due to social distancing requirement so offer cannot be applied.

Bought 2 meals, one a value meal. Was charged extra by accident as problem with till . They ‘refunded’ amount to my card , the amount being 14.80. Then charged me the 12.50. The 12.50 came off, and the 14.80 was refunded. I check my account today and they have taken the 14.80 AGAIN , so for the two meals I’ve been charged £27.30. Tried phoning, no result, only way to go is email. DO NOT USE THIS SUBWAY, THEY CHARGE YOU MORE FOR YOUR MEAL AND THEN DOUBLE CHARGE YOU. £27.30 for 2 meals, and I’m not even going to go into the customer service. SCAMMERS!!!!

Love this subway, staff are great especially Ross who was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble, took the time to explain different choices, always lovely when you get great staff that make you feel very welcome.

went in for a subway, and the guy who served me (an older, tall guy, with grey hair) who i’ve seen working a few times, gave me the wrong bread, the wrong meat, and when i asked for “quite a lot of sauce” he gave me the smallest slither. absolutely terrible experience, was basically a sandwich of lettuce and sweet corn, would not recommend

seemed very clean. the staff were lovely and helpful also patient if your new to subway and struggling to make up your mind or being picky. the place is a little small but apart from that it is a great place. the food is well prepared and tastes good. you get huge size portions for such a cheap price it's rather amazing.

Great place for a quick bite to eat

Went with my family for a quick lunch. Lady behind the counter was very friendly with an excellent service. Family all got various subs and she was very helpful advising the best deals to go for. I opted for the meatball loaded nachos which were also very tasty.

I was very disgraced when I went to subway because it took 3 days for the fat skinhead behind the counter to get one 3 inch subway ready. Not only did it take ages it was stinking like Anna’s haircut.

Nearly 20 minutes to prepare our four 6-inchers is just not good enoughon what is supposed to take a lot shorter. We were almost given a parking fine in the wait.

It's a good example of an American chain restaurant. As such, it is not much different from all the other Subways everywhere. The food was fresh and well prepared, and standard to just about everywhere else.

The serving assistant wouldn't go wumph if you put a million volts through her! Also very rude. Shop being used a meeting place for the little Oban 'massive'.

Great for the kids. Healthy and reasonable prices. Compared to a lot of places that over charge tourists in oban. .

Good cheap lunch. As with most Subways it felt a bit lived in and tired, could do with a bit of work. Staff were polite and friendly so top marks there.

Subway branches are very inviting. Once you have mastered the art of picking what you want from the great choice you get a filling and healthy meal at a budget price.

Staff very friendly. Busy with people sitting in and take aways. We visited on a wet Sunday afternoon and nice to sit in and enjoy as usual freshly made foo.
