Absolutely amazing find. It’s a must if you’re nearby. Recommend the chicken tandoori, the flavours were lovely and even though the dishes are frozen they are so tasty. Absolute gem of a find!

Discovered this on the way to our holiday cabin in Dalavich. As me & my partner are huge curry fans, we decided to pick up a couple on our way home. All I can say is "wow", they are a couple of the best curries we've had. Even most takeaways don't taste this good! We'll definitely be back when visiting Dalavich next.

Drove past this curry shack and after 20 minutes driving were so intrigued we turned around and went back. SO glad we did! Delicious curries and a great concept. We shared a butter chicken and a lamb methi and both were really tasty. We will definitely be back and try more!

While I enjoy the beauty and scenery of the more remote areas of Britain, the experience can be tainted by the anxiety caused by not knowing if I'll be able to get hold of a decent curry. If this resonates with you (and I know for many it will), let me tell you that if you visit Loch Awe, you have absolutely nothing to worry about! God bless this oasis of curry xxx

We visited especially to pick up Indian food and were not disappointed. This is a brilliant hidden gem and a great way to enjoy tasty curry when visiting or based in the area and we purchased a number of frozen dishes to take home. There was a lot of choice at the shop and we’d recommend checking out the website before a visit as it is possible to preorder food before your visit. The cooking instructions for the food are spot on and it really is great food to cook from frozen and the starters and main courses are very good and better than a takeaway. It’s also a lovely drive to get to the Blackrock with some nice walks nearby and definitely worth a visit especially for curry lovers 😀

The curries and pakora are delicious but you can’t help but feel you’re a burden when In the shop. Not a friendly customer service at all. We’ve been 3 times and each time felt the same. Remember, Your not doing the customers a favour, we’re paying good money for you food, which is still lovely

My wife is from Birmingham the home to the best curry houses I’ve ever known, or so I thought. Black Rock Curry by Loch Awe, sells without doubt the best curries I’ve ever had. It’s the most quirkiest wee takeaway and they sell the most incredible curries and desserts etc you just have to take your choices home and cook them as per the instructions on them. If you are ever NEAR this establishment I strongly recommend you pop in and get a few of the different curries they sell and try them YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

We were staying in a cabin at Loch Awe and dropped in to buy 2 curries and a sticky toffee pudding! The curries were amazing - one was mutton and the other chicken and both were up with the best we have ever had. We saved the STP and had it a few days later - it was beyond delcious! If you are in the area make sure to visit!

Fantastic curry, ordered 8 different curries for a group of friends. They were all delicious and extremely good value. Cheerful lady there when I picked up the curries. Loads of other options which we will be trying on other visits. Quite out of the way but well worth the journey to get there. THANK YOU

We were staying a Loch Aweside Cabins, and on the drive in we spotted the sign for Blackrock Curry and immediately hatched plans for a Father’s Day curry. We found the website and were amazed at the range of dishes - exciting. The following day I emailed in my order, thinking I was back in Newcastle…..Please realise this isn’t a curry take away like you may be accustomed. Instead, I drove up and popped in. The best bet. The food is all freshly cooked, but frozen on site - I didn’t realise this but believe me it tastes as good as any sit in I’ve had. Great food. Really great. I opted for the Parveet Karee - sensational. Spicy. Rich. Full of mutton. The wife went for the Sangangdita - full of flavour and chicken, and mild. We had the bajii and chicken Karachi to start, with the Karachi super hot and meltingly soft chicken thigh. 3 naan breads, papadoms, and pickles finished off the £24 order. A great discovery. We’ll worth the trip if you are near. But be prepared to heat it up from frozen (45 minutes). Very tasty though, and a real treat in the middle of nowhere.

Great little find! Good selection of curry's and sundries. You need to heat them up yourself when you get back. It was very tasty and we would use then again when we come this way.

Husband and I bought a lovely curry out of the Black Rock. Mutton madras, lemon chilli chicken, veg pakora, nan, rice, chutney and ice cream - was yummy. Husband said it was one of the nicest curries he has ever had! Entire meal was £17, very reasonable. The owner was very helpful too and said that her husband is the chef. If you are in the Loch Awe area and have facilities to heat the food, I recommend 100%.

Recently moved to the area and tried numerous different curries, etc from Black Rock - and been delighted with them all! Unusual concept - the dishes are all frozen and you heat them at home (from frozen) in 45 - 50 minutes! Really great idea and worth trying if you're ever in the area. Our favourites are the lamb and chicken mirch - we had never heard of Mirch before, but it's a lovely curry - it is listed as very hot, but we didn't find it particularly hot. Clearly good quality ingredients and made by a good chef. You can pay by card or cah - there's even an honesty box if no one is around! We also love the lime pickle as an accompaniment!

My husband and I spent a week in Dalavich and on our travels we discovered Black Rock Curries. What a hidden gem! Within the fancy hut are 2 chest freezers filled with homemade curries, sides and desserts and shelves full of microwaveable rice and homemade candles. On the walls are the list of meals within the freezer and their spice rating. I had the chicken dhansak and my husband had the chicken buna. What an absolute delight! Beautiful food. If we didn't have such a long drive home we would have bought more and taken them home. Highly recommend! Oh, we also bought some homemade lemon cheesecake - do not miss out on the desserts, soooo tasty! 5*
