Soni Spice in Argyll & Bute

This was my last chance to get something to eat tonight as I live rural with no shops open and no food at home. I called 25 mins before to ask and explain the situation, I don't have much time as I'm rushing for the bus home and asked repeatedly would it be ready on time. When I arrived 30 mins later to ask to pay, the woman just laughed and said its still being made and found the whole situation funny. I'm autistic and this was genuinely the only chance I had at getting a meal tonight and I made them promise it would be ready on time, I'm really hurt and gutted. Any takeaway in town would have kebab and chips ready in time in this situation, I shouldn't have put my trust in them. Really I can't believe how I was being laughed at like this was all a big joke.

Consistently excellent take-away of Indian food (haven't tried other types of food).

Food isn’t the greatest got chips and cheese with Doner Kebab the kebab was terrible wasn’t cut thin had all thick bits and over cooked such a shame as well cause the staff are very nice maybe I ordered at the wrong time of day evening

Staff are so lovely friendly & kind very helpful as I wasn’t sure what I wanted they helped make my mind up, I have now had a few meals from here and everything has been absolutely delicious definitely recommend

Large mixed kebab on pitta. Excellent kebab. Perfectly cooked chicken and lamb fillets. Very good donner meat. Very good chilli sauce and fresh salad, served separately.

I have been using Soni for a few years now. It's in a different league to all its competitors for miles around. The range and choice is wide and the quality of the food is always excellent. Online ordering is easy and estimated times of readiness for collection are dead accurate. Highly recommended.

Finally decided to give Soni Spice a try: you know how it is, it's hard to breakaway from the usual haunts for fear of a letdown. Not one bit of it! We all agreed, this is probably the best Indian takeaway meal we've ever had in Helensburgh: Absolutely gorgeous, fresh and tasty Chicken Tikka & South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken, accompanied by crispy garlic naan and pakora selection. As of now, this our new go to! High recommended!

Fabulous food, but a very aggressive and rude lady to deal with if there are any problems. I would have given five stars, but she totally ruined the meal experience with her attitude. I don't want to get food from here again through Just Eat, it's not worth the aggro when your food doesn't turn up and she verbally attacks you because it's all "your fault".

Soni Spice has become our absolute Number 1 choice for Indian takeaway food. We don't do it often so we want to know we're going to enjoy it and we've had consistently good food here every time. My son and I usually get a meal deal for two and that takes care of two meals each as the portion sizes are generous. If anything, it tastes even better the next day! Thank you Soni Spice!

Ordered on Just Eat and food was ready to collect on time. Could do with a tidy up outside to make it more welcoming but don’t let that put you off. The food was great and we would definitely go back if we were in the area.

This is only our second visit to Soni Spice for takeaway Indian food but it won’t be our last by any means. Very generous portions and fantastic fresh flavours. Lamb malaidar was heavenly!!

We ordered the meal deal for two people . It was amazing food, full of flavour, perfectly cooked. It was so much food ! Generous portions . I know where we will eat again . Never had such great curry , made with the real Indian spices. And as for the Pekora.. melt in mouth flavour sensation. Cant remember name of other items but was like a five star cuisine .

One, if not the best curry I've had in this area for quite some time. We'll worth a visit if you haven't already been. Very friendly lady behind the counter too. We'll be back. Probably this Saturday.

Ordered a set meal for 2 tonight from Soni Spice. Sadly pretty much the whole meal was a disappointment. The chicken pakora was ok, the disappoint occurred with the lack of a pakora sauce for the 2 portions. The chips are like (if not) the ones from the freezer section in the supermarket (pictured). The chicken chasni was not for me (I know taste is personal). The lamb dish was nice (hence the 2/5 rating I'm giving). Genuinely one of the worst Indian meals I have had this year!! I would not recommend to anyone in the Helensburgh area.

Lovely naan bread, pilau rice and poppadoms fine but the chicken tikka masala clearly wasn't chicken tikka or masala. Sure I've been given the wrong meal in error but they assure me I'm wrong. You decide

I’d heard good things about this place and tonight was the night! I was very impressed, the chicken korma was the best I’ve ever had and the spicy onions unlike any other. I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back

Big fan. The starters of veg. pakora and chicken pakora in the set meal are spicy without being too hot. The main courses of Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh are very tasty. Compliments to the Chef!!!

A friend recommended this takeaway to us so we decided to try it. There were three of us with different dishes and we really found the food excellent. It was clearly freshly made, and we could taste the individual spices. A really excellent experience after some disappointing outcomes in this broad geographical area.

By far the nicest takeaway curry in Helensburgh. I've ordered from here a few times and have always been happy with the quality of the food, which comes in generous portions. The delivery price can vary depending on where you live, so make sure to have some spare change just in case, but the rates are similar to the other takeaway restaurants in town.

If you want an excellent takeaway look no further. The curries we have had are better than most restaurants, the portions are much larger, the service is great and the people are so helpful and friendly. We could not say more than Try Soni's you will definitely go back!

We ordered a takeaway following a very positive recommendation from a friend.The order was picked up from an Indian lady who was polite and friendly. Our order was also complemented by some Poppadoms along with some dips, lovely. Our dishes were hot (heat), quite large in portion and of very good quality. We have used other Indian restaurants in town as well as takeaways and I have to say that Soni Spice IS the best. We will definitely visit again and am already looking forward to it.

Fantastic service, fantastic food.

Ordered take out via just eat and paid £2 delivery charge, appalled that i then received a call direct from the restaurant asking me to pay £1.50 extra to the driver.Explanation was the distance even though he restaurant was less than 1.5 miles from my hotel.

Note: not your usual Indian take away. Far superior to any Indian food I've had in a long time.

Amazing. We had our first meal from Soni Spice tonight and all I can say is that the food was simply delicious. I could tell I was in for a treat when I opened the boxes and the smell was fab. The rice was beautifully cooked, the Nan bread was perfection and the South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken was to die for. Soni Spice, you have a new regular customer. Without doubt, the best curry I have had for a long, long time.

The last time I have a meal here the only slight critism was th madras was not quite hot enough. This time it was perfect. Well done chaps.

Had a takeaway delivery on Friday 28th April 2017 I got the Meal Deal for 1 and the Meal Deal for 2. Total prices £10.95 and £20.95 this was to feed 4 adult people, which it did.

Soni Spice may have opened in the location of the old Singh's Palace, but the food is definitely a step up.
