Another absolutely delicious meal from Kingfisher. Exceptional service and fish extremely fresh, this was always be my go to chippy.

Fish cooked to order, huge portions, very tasty!

Being from London I've never liked fish mainly because it has been sat on the hotplate for 6 hours, however I'm in Thompson's once a week, the fish and chips are superb, so tasty and the batter is a great colour and nice and crispy. The staff are great too, they always have a chat with their customers. Would definitely recommend fish and chips from Thompsons.

What can I say the service was impeccable, we where made to feel so welcome every table treated with such kindness, nothing was to much trouble, the food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant itself was beautiful the atmosphere was so relaxing , the only thing that disappoints me is that it took us so long to visit such an amazing place we will most definitely be back very soon !

Best chippy HU4 area! We've been using it for years, in fact I used to go for my dinner when in high school over 16 years ago. Its a must try!

Love the concept of repurposing an old department store and the atmosphere is quirky and fun. Northern Soul food was delicious. Kedgeree was nicely spiced and full of tasty, fresh fish. Eggs Benedict with smoked mackerel - great and different combination. Good portions, good quality ingredients and excellent value for money.

La primera vez que intentaron hacer un pedido telefónico me dejaron en espera durante 10 minutos y luego se rieron de mí ya que no sabía el nombre que contestó el teléfono. La segunda vez que hicieron un pedido por teléfono me lo leyeron para comprobar que era correcto. Cuando se entregó hacía frío y mal había pedido salchichas grandes y entregado pequeñas en cambio había pedido que se despellejaran todos los pescados, solo habían despellejado 2 pescados las patatas fritas algunas de ellas eran verdes y parecían haber sido desguazadas del fondo de la freidora. El pescado estaba seco y sobre cocinado muy decepcionante. La calidad parece haber bajado de lo que solía ser. Ha sido muy bueno en el pasado

Normally i would love this chippy as i like my chips browner than normal chippies although everything cooked beautiful ( fish&chip special) the chips same as other chips a 1off tho 😋 food stll beautiful staff really nice too. 😀

Awful chips, cheap hard potatoes.

my order did not turn up when I ordered it at 6.30 I rang them up the driver went to the wrong house I rang them again it was on the way I rang at 9pm said they delivered it and was closed we still not received it

NO STARS!!! Absolutely vile. The service was perfetic and was not listened too and got my order wrong. Loads of shouting off a horrible random customer. Not welcoming at all! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Had Bob Carver’s 3 days ago, have been feeling unwell since the evening of - suspect I have food poisoning. The fish and chips were EXTREMELY greasy.

Have not been to the chippy for months since the last time of doing a review and binning two lots there's no need for photos as the meal was sickening, disgusting and like a sewage rats dropping, it started of brilliant when taken over and now its going further down hill shop owner as along way to climb the ladder. To improve what they sell. I thought after months not going would try to some dismay total CRAP, would not recommend at all

Called on friday night about 5 30 bought fish and chips l do have to say the worst fish and chips l have tasted wukk not be back
