It was OK chips were not that good tho hard this time.

I ordered 2 tubs of mushy pees but didn't get them.

The chips were dry and not very soft i love the chippy but tasted different .

We order from here quite a lot everything is great sometimes portions are to big for us especially chips Otherwise no complaints at all

Royal Fisheries is a nice traditional fish and chip shop. The fish is often cooked fresh to order. There is a wide choice on the menu apart from the usual fish chips and sausages they also do beef burgers and chicken burgers. The patties are excellent, nice light, and fluffy with just the right amount of herbs, and the batter was perfect. It's a good fish and chip shop, although parking nearby can be a bit of an issue.

Gave me Gravy instead of Curry Sauce, Half the chips weren't even cooked properly, Mushy Peas were hard, usually food is nice from here certainly wasn't this time.

poor, the fish batter was solid & the chips seemed old. usually very good here so don't know what went wrong.

haven't had fish & chips for a while..but when we do..it's from here... because we're always guaranteed fresh fish.. crispy bubbly batter and lovely chips..a great treat.😋😋

always more than enough,chips weren't hot though,maybe wrap them up with more paper to keep them warmer.

Batter is very soggy, almost under cooked. Don't come here if you want crispy. Also, chips are scraps. Crunchy with very little potato filling.

Cancelled my first order, had to place it again and that time it was accepted by the store. Said delivery between 7:20-7:40pm. Nothing arrived, called up and he sounded completely uninterested saying the order got cancelled and they've closed now

The food was really nice and was still hot when it was delivered. We were really pleased with the Snack Box .For only £6.50, there was a great selection. We will definitely order from Royal Fisheries again.

Usually brilliant but tonight food was cold curry and gravy was watery and gravy went all over everything else only had half of tub left 😞

First time using Royal Fisheries last night, always a bit dubious with chip shops as had some really awful food.... BUT we were really impressed, I had a large haddock, cooked to perfection, light crispy batter and not greasy and a lovely pot of fresh mushy peas. My lads had the large battered sausage and large chips, (there was enough to feed 4 out the chips!) According to my son the curry sauce was "banging" and they can be fussy eaters. The food was delivered earlier than the suggested time (always a bonus) and it was piping hot. Will definitely be using again.

I drive four miles across Hull to collect it's that good. Proper skin on Haddock, cooked perfectly in a crisp delicious batter. The chips are lovely and amazing curry sauce. I've been a customer for around a year now, everything is always perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced. In Hull, for me this is by far the best I've tried. The owner and his staff have always been helpful and polite. Highly recommend to anyone

Cannot follow simple instructions on the notes I asked for the fish to have no skin on as I cannot eat it with the skin on, both sent with skin on, breadcrumbs on fish cake were burnt and delivery driver cannot add up short changed us, how many people does he do this to, ridiculous!!!

Food a little cold patty really salty

Really disappointed. Used this chippy for a while and this time, I opened my food and it smelt a bit weird, but I tried some anyways. The fish is off! Literally gone bad! Unsure if the hot weather (27°c) has caused problems, but really devastated about this- won’t be going back.

Very good but that is normal for Royal Fisheries. Can't praise them enough.

Used for the first time yesterday. I ordered large haddock and chips and the haddock was the best tasting and texture I have had in a long time. They have a choice of small, medium or large chips which is a good idea.

Fish was nice, skin removed as requested only downside there were a lot of bones in the fish. The batter on the battered sausage was like rubber, the curry sauce that comes with the fish deal half of the sauce had leaked out.

Waste of money. Never going again. no taste

Not great fish and chips, ordered two large haddock and what I got didn’t look or taste great, skin was black not like other haddock I have ever had, disappointing as first time was nice, but won’t be going there again.

Chicken and mushroom pie wasn’t great as the top of it was rock hard and didn’t enjoy it and the fish bites was soggy forgot chip spice had to ring were it was and they brought it to me thanks.

Portions were tiny and food was barely warm, the fish doesn’t come with any chips which we were surprised at considering the price

Fish was dry. The curry sauce was different to the usual type you get from chippies but it wasn’t to bed. Was expensive meal though.
