Thought I'd try the patty for change from chips - it was not good, dry lumpy potato... and what tasted like some Indian spice!!! Not like any traditional patty I've had before ~ won't be making that mistake again!

Started going here 3 weeks ago got a fish and chips special £4.50 was beautiful good potion of chips and a lovely fish no bones just how I like it lovely lady served me most polite would highly recommend this place

Ready when we got there and we were there early. One of the fish was definitely stood a while. The sausage had batter only on one side. But itherwise ok

Fish was absolutely excellent. Full of flavour and was cooked to the perfect amount. Good portion of all food and good value for what you paid for. Will definitely be ordering again

the fish was very watery and tasteless. The batter was undercooked. We wont use them again

My partner and little lad whent there yesterday.the chips was chewy and hard.the fish wad small and disgusting.the sausage was unedable.totally disgusting place totally avoid going for everyone

I don't know in what world you call the sausage in your sausage special a sausage it was more like a meat ball in batter

I'm not sure you should put the pasta box in the microwave though, daughter was eating half of the box, suggest different packaging for that, otherwise lovely food

Highly recommend the home made chicken curry and chips. Everything was cooked, well pleased.

An absolute delightful fish and chip shop. The staff are really friendly and upbeat. I've only had chips there but they give a large portion and it's always warm, unlike some fish and chip shops where you get luke warm chips. Always love visiting them for a tray of chips every so often.

Absolutely awful prices are ridiculous probably worst chippy in Hull not a patch on Chalis Hessle Road

Second time order has had missing items. on calling the shop was met with poor customer service denying missing items and been called a lier. Clearly we must ring to complain just for fun after waiting over an hour for an incomplete Oder. Won't be using them again.

Got a fish chips from here for dinner was really looking forward to it gets back with my food and all of my chips had paper stuck to them and the fish was like eating mushed up baby food

Years ago this place used to be decent i always used to go before the football match. However, I’ve tried this place recently and it has dramatically gone downhill.

I would of given 5 stars, but the peas had no flavour, but would def buy from Viking again. The fish was white and tasty, and the chips plentiful

Good chips, curry sauce nice..

Large fish was missing from order which I am yet to receive a refund for. We always order from Viking as the food is always lovely and we never have any issues so hopefully this was a one off!

Lovely fish, chips a bit too greasy and tartar sauce disappointing but delivered so can't complain too much.

Great food good portion sizes highly recommended. 5*

Went for fish and chips Saturday lunchtime, walked in the lady was on her phone texting..no problem, ordered fish and chips open, she popped chips in the smallest tray ever so when the fish went on it fell off, she proceeded to pick it up with her fingers😒 then asked me if I would like salt and vinegar, my fish fell again she picked it up with fingers, then picked it up high in the air to pop salt on my chips… by this time I declined the fish and chips as it had been fingered more times than enough bearing in mind she had been texting on her phone with the same fingers, phones being the muckiest things in the world..and the funniest thing the tongs were just next her..

Viking Fisheries. The best certainly in my area. Staff here are amazing. Fish cooked to order and is wonderful. The service is second to none. I love this place but dont visit as often as I used to owing to lifestyle changes.

The BEST fish and chips in the UK without any question. I travel all over the country for work and this is the best fish and chips anywhere I have had. Bring cash though as no card machine!

Definitely the best reasonably priced chippy in Hull and so far the only one I’ve found that doesn’t leave the skin on the fish - must be a Hull thing I’m from Leeds and it’s uncommon over there. Very friendly and efficient service and their £3.50 small fish and chips is almost the size of other places medium or standard portion.

Was the nicest meal from a chippy I've ever had. Meat pie, peas & chips were sensational. Even the driver was lovely! If I can add you to my favourites on here I will be doing. Very impressed :)

The food was absolutely appalling, there was more batter on the fish than fish and the same goes for the spicy chicken pieces

First time trying and not disappointed new to area due to work and was recommended the funky haddock down the road it was disgusting the wait time was long and food overpriced went to leave comment was told not to cum bk. Any way Viking was fast cheap and delicious no more funky fanny fish with a cold for me I will now use Viking all the time

This chipy is better than any in Hull so far, I'm served a chunky light crispy batter on the fish and some of the yummiest chips and mushy peas

I always order from here, out of all Fish and Chips in Hull they have the best prices, best food and best service. I recommend everyone to order from here.

Paid for 2x fish and chips. Got home thats 15mins away for 1 of the fish to be missing. When iv tried calling them the number is invalid.

Arrived early and piping hot with a friendly guy delivering it. Haven’t had this kind of batter on fish for years! It was thick and crunchy and since I don’t eat much of it, it just peeled right of the fish in one piece unlike other chippies where it’s welded on! Delicious and generous portion of chips. All items were delivered with nothing missing. Well worth the price. Only gripe is the baked beans which are those godawful cheap dark slightly bitter ones - would prefer to pay slightly more for nicer beans. But gravy and curry sauce was good. Overall absolutely excellent. Don’t hesitate to use these people. Fantastic. Thanks. (Just don’t get the beans)

Had a long wait so we were really looking forward to it. The portions were huge and hot, fish was lovely and fresh but the batter ruined it unfortunately it was way too thick. Threw the best part of £15 in the bin, even the sausages and chips. Also forgot the ketchup we paid for, it’s only 40p but would of been better with it. Daughter usually loves chippy and didn’t eat any of it, it wasn’t for us but can see others enjoy it on the reviews

Took over an hour and a half to get to us. I’ve never seen a smaller sausage (outside of the owner) and the fish portion actually smelled like Hessle road (and tasted far worse). I will not be ordering from this ‘establishment’ again.

Chips tasted good and the fish was nice definitely coming back thank you to who made my order 👍

Beautiful as always. Requested it to be lightly battered and lightly fried and it was just how we like it. Highly recommend.
