Had for the first time last night. Absolutely gorgeous. Fish superb and not greasy like most other chippy's. Will definitely be back.

Fish and chips, freshly cooked and very tasty. It's a takeaway so atmosphere is not a high priority but the staff were pleasant and made the wait, while my food was cooked, comfortable.

When I was visited here and ate fish chips and curry sauce. It was too delicious and the staff members are too co operative and providing best quality food food and the prices of the food is too affordable. Thanks . Must visit and enjoying food .

Food was OK and tasted good enough but the prices in there seem a little high.

No awards for the chips - mixed potato variety but to be fair not the worst I've had, they were okay and more importantly edible. Very nice battered sausage and curry sauce was good. I thought the service was friendly, reasonably priced for the current climate and looked clean behind the counter. I'd recommend for a quick chippy bite if you are at the hospital but it's honestly nothing to rave about.

The fish n chips are always nice n fresh, good portions, good customer service 👍🏽

Very nice food and very good service

I recently purchased a bag of chips for £3.30 that was a huge disappointment. Not only were the chips cold and soft, but they were also poorly sliced and unattractively looking. It was clear that they had been sitting around for a while and had lost their crispness. In fact, they were so bad that at first bite, I had to throw them into the bin. I was really looking forward to enjoying a crunchy, flavorful snack, but instead, I was left with a bag of unappetizing chips that I couldn't even finish. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my purchase and would not recommend these chips to anyone

Came here for the first time last Saturday and can say that the food was beautiful! The staff where very friendly and there was great choice on the menu. The battered burgers where divine and the food was fresh. The shop was extremely clean and the prices where very reasonable. We will definitely be going back and will also be recommending to other people. Fantastic, Thankyou!

Having just moved to the area I thought I would give it a try. The menu has plenty to choose from and the person behind the counter was pleasant and polite. I got fish and chips and the chips just somehow reminded me of the ones you get at the seaside. They were just to my taste. I will be going back to try the chicken curry.

Nice fish and chips, but they didn’t even have any fish already in the fryer. And then when a women grabbed something she didn’t use tongs or gloves, she held it in her bare hands. Everyone had received there food first because everything else was prepared.

Their fish and chips were amazing. Cooked fresh in front of you. The Gentleman on the counter in extremely friendly.

Asked for a vegetarian option curry, the lady made a chickpea curry it was delicious, the rice was the best I've ever had, samosa & chapatti just perfect, nothing too much trouble & so filling

I have to say I'm living in hull 2 years and I was yet to come across one just one take away that does homemade chips like Ireland absolutely love this chipper so fresh and the staff are so nice and friendly not to mention the best chips iv ever had I drive half ahour just to this chipper to buy their chips amazing just to die for best chipper and food in hull ❤

The staff here are so lovely! And let me tell you there curry and rice is better then any takeaway!! Like it's the best ever!! There chips, fish, sausage, fritters, Pattie's and everything else is absolutely bang on too! If your a family and someone wants curry some want chippy, this is definitely the plaice to be!

Wow for a chippy this place has amazing chicken curry! The flavours are divine.. Ask for the Indian mothers way.. it’s true authentic flavours I can still taste it. The rice is better than most restaurants. You got to try this!

Friendly staff, so much to choose from and lots of specials too. I highly recommend the homemade chicken curry that's cooked to order to the customers liking whether it be mild or spicy. They always go above and beyond for their customers.

Had fish chips and peas, absolutely gorgeous, freshly cooked in front of us. Fish was thick and skinned and batter was perfect. Double wrapped as we had a long way to go home. Superb! Large fish butty! Had to double it over to fit. Experience 101, vinegar on first so the salt sticks & doesn’t get washed away if applied the other way around!

Wow! The best fresh fish and chips we have had for years. If you like freshly cooked while you wait quality food you need to stop here. The fish was skinless, not wafer thin either. beef dripping cooked chips are to die for. Was worth the 200 mile trip to see our daughter just to have tea from here. If you are looking for quality well here is a fish and chip shop that deals in it I have driven from Kingswood to eat from this shop excellent service food cooked fresh if you have to go to the hospital for any reason pop across the road near lloyds chemist you won't be disappointed just enjoy the food. I got pattie,chips, and curry sauce(£3). Chips and curry was fine, but the pattie was terrible, must of been left in the heater all day. Hard batter,won't be rushing back 👎

My colleague introduced me to the desi / indian menu served at the takeaway and there is no turning back. Superb homemade and authentic taste. Indian menu isn't what they regularly do ,so I order them a day or so before takeaway . I was told they are soon going to do indian dishes as regular .

Along with fish and chips they also serve Home made chicken curry which is very delicious. Lovely couple in the shop who are sweet to talk to.

Since the new owners took over the food is lovely. More than your normal 'chippy' lots of variety. Very tasty homemade chicken curry as hot as you like it and samosas too. Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly family run fish and chip shop. Open late , so great if you eat after 8 when all the others have closed. Can park right outside. We had traditional fish, chips, scampi and sausage and all lovely.

Found this restaurant online after our ‘regular’ was closed for the day. Safe to say we have found a new regular! The food was cooked to order with fresh ingredients, very well priced and high quality. I would 100% recommend to everyone.

Sunday night fish and chips. Friendly staff, perfectly cooked fish, chips, patties and chicken nuggets. Partner commented that chips perfectly cooked and unlike some places not too greasy. 6 of us enjoyed the freshly cooked feast

I've yoused this chippy for years thought it was good with the old owners but I was rong under the new management the food is better than good the batter is the best I've ever had worthwhile for that alone ! U can even get home cooked curry and bits first class Highley recommended 👌 👍 👏 😋

Only chippy open at 9pm on a Tuesday night so travelled to it to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The fish was full of flavour, delicious even down to the batter. Chips, sausage and fish cake was also enjoyable. Thoroughly enjoyed our tea tonight. Will definitely be revisiting.

Stopped off here on the way home as it was one of the only places actually still open at 9pm and was really pleased with the food. The owners were really friendly and chatted to me while I waited for the fish to be freshly cooked. It was beautiful, lovely chunky fish, lightly battered, and the chips were what I would call proper 'chippie' chips! Don't let the area put you off as the service and food were great! (I was going to post a photo of the food but it smelt so delicious I tucked straight in!)

I visited this chippy and found the food to be spot on. I was visiting the hospital and need food I would highly recommend and the couple who run it couldn't of been nicer.

Not just a chip shop... 90% batter 10% frozen fish

The name is far from the truth. It's called Anlaby Road Fisheries, yet when I went in and asked for cod and chips, I was told they don't do fish. Above was a lot of empty space with a few 'deals' just chicken or Pattie and chips. The Pattie was the only thing worth getting, as the chips were drenched in oil, some chips not fully cooked. It was like downing a pint of Crisp 'n Dry.

Lovely light battered fish , soggy chips a shame . Absolutely spot on service was a lovely lady . Not to sure about the owner !! Can only describe as slavery - £5 an hour wages... What's that about ?? Not happy that people are treated like that in today's society . Absolutely unbelievable . Hope she finds a new job soon are she starts to be treated equally .

Decent place good food and prices are great if your in hospital but can go out for food and if your fed up of hospital food. It's not far away from it really sausage, chips and gravy is only £2 which is good value. Staff are friendly too.
