The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Glorious food and brilliant service. My friend had looked it up and instead of getting food from the sea front we walked up to CJs. We ordered the regular cod and chips and it was massive! Waitresses were lovely and friendly and service quick and efficient. As we ate, we noticed people around us leaving but didn’t realise they had closed! Sat there until 3pm and the place shut at 2! Nobody asked us to leave, felt awful but they couldn’t have been nicer. Just left us to it! Couldn’t have asked for a nicer fish and chips lunch in a lovely place. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Went in Monday night approx 9.45 Floor was wet through it was dangerous chips were half cooked and soggy fish has shrunk in size we used to call here even though it was a long way from home staff not interested won’t be going again it’s really gone down see photos of floor

Small fish chips +Peas. Good value lovely white fish. Batter could do with cooking a bit longer to avoid fish sticking to chips or ask to be packed separately. Lovely staff.

Fish batter very dark n greasy. Oil change and overcooked. Not your usual 5 star

just had fish and chips here ,the worst I have ever had .fish and chips twice £20.00 never again .chips cold fish cold.

My son loves this fish and chip shop he has it when he goes to his grandparents. However I just got him a takeaway and it has 2 long dark hairs in all the chips. When I asked my son who picked the food up who served the food Turns out the girl serving had her long dark hair down while serving the food, surley should be tied in a pony tail at least?! When I rang to say the girl who answered did not seem bothered at all. :/ !!

We had lovely fish and chips this evening. Very reasonably priced and made fresh to order. Large portions and cooked to perfection, with a friendly service too. We really enjoyed them. Thank you very much. :)

Best fish and chips and the curry sauce is on point

Fish is good, big enough for anyone. But the curry sauce was like water, for me you should be able to poor it onto a fish butty and it stay on, not this curry, far too thin and watery.

ATROCIOUS service, almost as bad as the food. Cold, limp, and tasteless. I am appalled at the lack of quality, especially somewhere that preaches authenticity. Shocking.

Might be a bad day but chips were scabby bits and sparse.
