We were inspired to stop by patrons eating oysters, as they looked amazing. We stepped into the outside seating area, and waited for the server to finish chatting to the other couple there. She finished and turned to us and immediately had a snotty attitude; 'What do you need' or 'What would you like?' is what she said. We had never been before, and didn't know if we should sit down, or be placed, so I said 'we'd like to eat some oysters'. She told us to take a seat and she will come to us after she had cleaned some tables. As she said this she was turning around to grab a cloth. She had a complete stank on, and basically we sat down and as she went off to clean a table, we looked at each other and decided to not spend our hard earned money at a venue that speaks to patrons as such.

We ordered lobster roll expecting some beautifully presented lobster curled round a tasty dressing. What turned up was a scant tablespoon of chopped overcooked lobster in a cold, cheap, tasteless white finger roll of bread that would have disgraced the bargain shelf of the cheapest supermarket. It was inedible. The side of hispi cabbage was well cooked, thankfully, or I would have left feeling very hungry. There are no loos. You have to use the dimly lit and droughty public loos in the adjacent council carpark. This is possibly the worst restaurant in St. Ives.

Only popped in for a drink... but stayed for set menu! Noted this is off season, hence 3 star as quiet. But did not disappoint. Popped into The Waterfront for a drink. The menu looked so nice, the staff showed us the Set menu and ended up staying for food. The mushroom Arancini with truffle and heaps of Parmesan was delicious as was the other starter of gravlax trout. Main course did not disappoint either, beef cheek cottage pie and vegetables.... Staff very friendly, drinks selection very good, we had a glass of wine and the Wingman IPA Food portions very generous, super tasty, and everything well seasoned. Clearly cooked with care and love. Dog friendly.. lovely staff bought us a bowl of water. Thankyou.

Really not great at all you have to order food from one place and if you want a drink you have to go to a separate kiosk. Staff don’t seem interested at all and are completely gormless/unhelpful. Food is subpar at best and extremely overpriced for what it is. Such a shame as it’s a great location and could be made into something amazing if the thought went into it.

Absolutely beautiful food! The pork belly was delicious and the lamb was so tasty. And the deserts topped of a wonderful meal. My husband ordered the trout for a starter and steak for the main he said this was perfect.

Fraser’s provides consistently great fish and chips and the Helston shop is modern and clean. The majority of the packaging is recyclable which is good for the planet. The staff are friendly and helpful and the ability to preorder means that you can select your food choices and desired pick up time and beat the queues. The system works really well.
