Awful chips, shocking sausage in batter and no beans on the menu poor very poor will never return I feel 🤢 it was not like this a few months ago I assume it’s new owners

I ordered dirty chips (cheese bacon and chips) the lady behind the counter handled raw bacon and then carried on serving people with their food I asked if she had been handling raw meat and she said" yes"iasked if she had washed her hands after? I knew she didn't but she said she had .I told her she didn't and asked her to wash them. We waited for our food a little longer and the same happened but with another staff member so I asked for my money and left .not happy with their hygiene at all

This is the most overpriced and disappointing fish and chip experiences we had. We paid £47 for 2 adult meals and 2 children's meals. The most disappointing part was that everything was frozen even though we were right on Brixham harbour. Don't go! So sad that we wasted our meal out on holiday here!

Popped down for some salt and pepper squid and chips after work on a Friday. Unfortunately ,once I got home and opened the wrapping I shocked to discover I had been well and truly robbed of good money. 6 pieces of tiny squid and a tiny pot of sweet chilli sauce is not worth £5.99 in my opinion. Unfortunately, we are local and will definitely be going elsewhere from now on. Shocking.

The most disgusting fish and chips I have ever had cost my husband £22.60 for the smallest portions ever for the two of us .Fish not fresh never been a haddock peas definitely not 75degrees totally cold and we only in flat next door so no walking involved . Think they can rip holiday makers off never again and would advise everyone to steer clear .

We didn’t enjoy our visit … kids were running riot up and down the narrow isle, chasing small dogs. It took 20mins to fry one piece of haddock and when it did arrive, it was the smallest piece of fish I’d ever seen, plus it was well over cooked and dry. Prices are extremely expensive (whilst I acknowledge commodity prices are high) to both eat-in and take-away. There must be better chippies in town …

Worst fish experience ever, fish was obviously frozen from a packet, plus over cooked and dry. Would never go back again.

Rubbish staff unable to attend to customers needs. Raining , wet not asked for takeaway or eat in. When asked to eat in and pay extra told no too busy on fryers- not calculating price. Dirty look and moody response wont be returning would rather put our money in to other local restaurants. What happened to the man that always used to serve? Bring him Back get rid of them women!

Dined in. Family had Haddock & Chips, sausage in batter & cheesy chips and children’s fish cake and chips. The chips were amazing. Clearly made fresh on site. Polite staff. Clean surroundings. Toilets clean and well maintained. Harbour view and half the price of other restaurants around Harbour.

We stopped by for two takeaway OAP portions of cod and chips at £7.95 each. The chips were perfect and the batter a golden crisp, and the cod also lovely. Really pleased with this meal. Good value and served with a smile by the young lady.

I asked for the OAP special. Was given dried up chips. Tiny fish. Curry sauce that cold and solid When I complained they tried to justify themselves and laughed.

Sorry to say but this place served the worst fish and chips I have ever had in my life. I got tasteless mush which I couldn’t eat. The tables were sticky and the food was dreadful. The staff were nice enough and the location is amazing - and maybe today was an off day - but unfortunately it was awful. Waste of money and very disappointed

We were recommended this place as my dad said the food was very good. He had great experiences here. It's not the cheapest place to eat so we were expecting a lovely tasty meal, but what we got was awful. I ordered battered sausage & chips, my mum got fish and chips and my little boy had fishcake & chips. The entire meal was overcooked and bland. We had to leave a lot of our chips as they were too hard to eat, the batter on the sausage and fish was hard due to overcooking and the portions were measly for what you pay. The fish should have been large flaky & moist with perfectly cooked batter around it, but it was just small and dry/overcooked. My mum didn't enjoy her meal at all. The only thing I really enjoyed of mine was the curry sauce. My little boy didn't eat any of his and said it didn't taste good. It honestly depends on who is cooking your food as to how your meal is going to be I think. It seems like a very hit and miss restaurant, but to succeed they really need consistency with their food. Another thing my mum noticed was an egg smell coming from the kitchen. She said the kitchen looked very unclean and was horrified to think we just ate food from there. We wouldn't come here again based on what we experienced the first time. It's a shame because it is situated in the perfect spot by the harbour and the staff were friendly. I think everyone should be trained to cook to the same standards as those who serve good food at this place because there are a lot of others who say the food was delicious including my dad. It must depend on what staff is on.

Really disappointed! Warmed up chips that were on their last legs! £7.50 for a piece of fish, the smallest I’ve ever seen! I’ve worked on the fish and chip trade and I know that if I had served out this food I would have been out of business. Will never go back.

Just ordered 4 takeaway medium cod and chips from here for myself and 3 others. As usual, far too many chips to pad out the meal but the fish was so small it was ridiculous. How on Earth this could ever be described as medium is beyond me. Considering the competition in Brixham this business needs to up its game. I would advise anyone staying in Brixham who are reading this to to try elsewhere, extremely disappointed and will not be returning.
