Whilst usually very good, this evening it was awful. The order was supposed to be here around 6.10 but at 6.12 I was informed it was delayed. At 6.50 I was told it was on its way. It arrived at 7.15 (not the 6.20 it says on the order). The food was cold and my haddock was overcooked! I appreciate you're busy but we're not impressed.

This was my 2nd online order via the Ocean Wild App & its was absolutely delicious. Food arrived on time, hot and it was cooked so nicely. Fish was flakey & chunky, batter and chips were delicious! (Chef’s Kiss) Curry sauce is the best. Would highly recommend Ocean Wild, if you want to best chippy in Paignton!

Absolutely ludicrous Awful service awful staff everything is frozen and tastes dry and burnt. The chips aren't crispy they are soggy and tasteless. The girls who work in there are pleasant but the young boy with blonde hair..! His service his body language and his attitude towards his team seemed terrible. I must've been in the shop for around 20 mins and all I saw him do was stand on his phone! He seemed lazy to me. There was also a chap with a bald head who didn't speak to his staff very nicely either including the drivers! I understand if the shop is busy as well as delivery's however I think those two chaps need to start using their manners when speaking with other members of staff. I'm surprised they still have staff. THATS all from me, safe to say I will not be returning

Great fish and chips, open throughout the day - unlike many chip shops - good deals for 2, for family, and many more. Always busy so I recommend ordering online or on the app for collection, superfast as soon as you arrive!

We’re on holiday. Came a couple of years ago Again Amazing fish and chips. Shop was full of customers which is a good sign. It was delicious, well cooked and good portions. Staff friendly. All in all a great experience will call again when in the area.

The food was slightly late, but that was because of the roadworks.

the food quality was lovely, wrapping of the food was well presented and environmentally friendly which is a Win from me. only thing to let it down was the size of my cod, it was the same size as the small battered sausage which I feel wasn't worth the cost, but the freshness and batter was on point. we will use again in future 🙏

This is the second time that food not up to their usual high standard. Fish batter very soft and soggy. Chips were very greasy. In fact the meal was so greasy that it had soaked through the cardboard box it was supplied in. Such a shame as they were our favourite chip shop.

Had delivery twice now ,and I must say the best chips I've had in Torbay ,and the battered sausage was lovely,they have got another regular now , 🤤

For me, I have to say the best fish in the bay. I only ever get my cod from here and never go anywhere else. The portion size is bang on and honestly just the best-tasting fish Ive probably ever had especially in Torquay/Paignton. Try the cod here and trust me you will not be disappointed! If I could give it 10*'s I would.

delivery was already delayed from original order time, then was an additional couple of minutes late ontop of new estimate. however the food was cold and greasy so had clearly been left on the "hot plate". not a good experience at all especially as the food order was almost £30

The food here is always great. I have a slight problem with the new app, I like to order and collect, no problem before, I could use Apple Pay, now you have to fill in card details, and I don’t carry my cards. Ordered the other day, paid and the app just shut down. I had to phone the shop to make sure it had gone through, it had, and my food was ready and brilliant as usual. Just a bit harder to order on line . Not a big issue and I will be back but some new customers may not. Not a complaint just to let you know.

Excellent food, the best chips you can get, they are cooked in beef dripping as it should be and every thing else was cooked perfectly. Food arrived 10 minutes early and was still very hot. This fish n chip shop makes the best chips we have ever had and we shall definitely be back again.

What did arrive was lovely, unfortunately several items were missing from the order.

Asked for battered sausages but received normal sausages. Chips tasted a little soggy and sausages didn’t taste great either. Burger was nice

for an elderly housebound person like myself nine times out of ten service is perfect quality is good. my only complaint is that the fish shop has now set a min rider of £12 which now pensioners don't get a hot meal at a decent price to fit their pockets especially when packaging and courier price is on top of the meal. I used to buy once a week now I can only buy once every 2 months.

I always buy my fish and chips here etc for dinner before i go to work sometimes and take away if husband home. Why here?because they always serve fresh to customers and staff are friendly , they offer you options when order is delayed and give you extra drink as well.

Usually cannot fault ocean wild but tonight I have to. I'm utterly disappointed with the plaice. It was like they had run out of plaice the piece was extremely smaller than usual but then was covered in 10 ton of burnt batter which had to be removed cos it was inedible so I paid £13 for small chips and curry sauce cos that's all I could eat.. so disappointing like I say normally cannot fault them

Drink missing from the order. Barely any fish, mostly chewy inedible batter. Everything tasted of burnt oil - straight to the bin

We usually have a great experience with this restaurant, but tonight I had a complete u-turn. Food was estimated to take Approx an hour, which is fine. But around the hour mark it was marked as on its way, and shortly after marked as delivered, with no sign of food or contact. I called the restaurant, and was told the driver left 15 minutes ago, and was told I was incorrect about it being marked as delivered (I was not) half an hour later, food eventually did show, but freezing cold, condensated
