The Jaws in Plymouth

My daughter had sausage and chips and curry sauce and thought all was great with sridp chips and tasty sausage and nice tasty curry sauce. i had the fish strips and a battered sausage both batters had no oil and very crispy chips were crisp and not oily either and nice portions. will be going again i am sure. Thank you.

Horrible, fish was old and had frost bite. Sausages burnt but not cooked bones found in chicken curry.

There was a worker called lin who was absolutely disgusting and horrible she was not polite and no one deserves to be spoke to the way i was

Generous portions of fish and chips, with good flaky fish. The batter was crisp and not heavy or greasy. Very pleasant staff, and we'll be going there again.

I called in early one evening and had the homemade chicken curry ver nice not to hot friendly staff reasonable prices I would use again

My bill came to £7:80, I paid on contactless, trusting what I was asked for. Put my card to the contactless, it’s my own fault for not checking. Looked at my banking this morning and they have put through at £10. Sad thing is I enjoyed the fish and chips etc. My advice check the machine before paying or ask for a receipt. If you pay cash check your change.

The best fish and chips i had in years! No bones in the fish the batter was nice and dry and not soggy it was absolutely delightful! the staff are friendly and very welcoming. I highly recommend this chip shop try it you wont be disappointed!!! 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice fresh food really big portions next time we will share a portion of chips.Ordered potato fritters really was looking forward to this but unfortunately when got home they wernt there so do check your order but saying that mistakes happen when busy.But we will be going back as the rest was fine and faggots huge.

Always good food from here. Spam fritters are lovely. Spicy sausages are good, our kids love them. Good value too

I like the chips from here slightly crispy with good fish and batter. Also decent portion sizes as well . Certainly one of the better chippies!

Popped in there to get something for tea. Was pretty busy. The only thing I would say is they need to use a different cooking oil as the taste is not that nice. You also dont get a nice crispy chip with whatever fat they use.

We visited the shop for the first time. This was my third time of having food from here, the other times have been delivered to work. All I can say is that it was excellent. The food was cooked fresh and the quality was excellent. One thing I was impressed with is that when i was asked do I want salt and vinegar I got salt and vinegar. So often with fish and chip shops by the time you get to eat your food there is no salt to be found and you cannot taste the vinegar. This was different. Also it was excellent value. I will be back for more.

On an old street in a fast regenerating part of Devonport with a long family history. Good fish and chips. Friendly counter staff.

We decided to have fish and chips for lunch on Friday at work. The Jaws was picked. The food once collected had to travel 15-20 or so minutes to get to us so it wasn't the same as having it fresh from the fryer. There was 11 of us and all wanted a feast....Did this fish and chip shop deliver the goods..... We had onion rings, fish bites, fish and chips, potato cakes, curry sauce, gravy, battered sausages and jumbo sausages. Taking into account the food had to travel, the batter was still good, it was better than some can do from the fryer. The chips were good and I did love the fish bites, I have never had these before and they were delicious. None of the food was greasy. All I can say is this guy worked hard to cook everything he did for us and pack it. I will be back, I will visit one evening for fish bites, fish and chips. Well done. One of the better fish and chip shops in Plymouth.
