Have eaten from this fish and chips shop for decades now and always continues to provide the best fish and chips! Great good, affordable prices and welcoming customer service 😁

Absolutely terrible batter was raw on our large fish and chip all three portions chips are skinny and pale undercooked it was all tasteless called them but got rudely told to find another chip shop £40 wasted worst chip shop we have experienced so disappointed 😞 😪

Hello to everyone I'm done with this chip shop if any one gets unwell with the food just don't come hear any more. My husban is now suffering with the fish he ate and I'm now not going to risk my fish and chips. £30 you can sling your back sides to mr hook. STOP BEING SO FILTHY AND TELL THAT WOMEN TO STOP PICKING HER EARS AND EATING THE WAX. and just so everyone knows on theese reviews if this gets taken off or try to argue the point in another review it is this fish shop that's done It. I'm discussed and outraged

I ordered a regular cod and chips, it was enough to feed two people and it was delicious.

Best fish and chips in north Plymouth

Had Whitleigh chippy for almost 10 years now I cannot fault it one bit. Everythings cooked freshly and too perfection. Not to mention the curry sauce is bomb! Staff are always polite.

Only had chips very friendly people but chips pre cooked put in to finish them off not done for long enough to heat right through only live 3 minutes away got home luke warm .had to put in the microwave sorry

Not worth 1 star. I will never go there again! My battered sasauge came with no batter and didn't taste good. The curry sauce was like water with curry favouring. Chips had a powdery after taste sensation. Also I reckon the vinegar is watered down, due to there was no taste of it. It is a waste money

The sausage was ok and the fish so so very watery the chips are a different matter some were soggy some had raw potato and crunched when you bit into it and that was not due to them being crispy. Woul not go here again also on the door it says Chinese but they don't seem to sell that inside so I assume it's because the people cooking are Chinese. It's a real shame as looking for a good local fish and chip shop and this is not it.

Was surprised sign days Chinese takeaway but don't do Chinese food except pancake rolls,found the batter very greasy but staff were very pleasent,quite expensive as far as fish&chips go

Best tasting chips cooked to perfection

The food is good was just a shame it took 20 minutes to get the food when I was the first customer in and others got served the same food before me. Lady serving was very rude and has no organisational skills.

Been going here for over 20 years.. Mother worked there Many Years ago.. Owner always says hello when I walk in... Great food.. Great service.. And 5* curry sauce, better then any curry sauce available anywhere.

Best fish and chips, good quality fresh fish always available and is freshly cooked to order, never have to wait too long, staff very friendly, worth travelling to them for very good fish and chips.

Waited 45 minutes for order to then get home and find our order was wrong and things missing. Goes back to tell them what's wrong as I asked for sausage and chips but get battered and no fish and chips for them to argue with me saying when u order sausage it means batter I shoud've said plain!! In all the years I have just asked for a sausage I have got a sausage. They refused to replace it but did give money back. Customer service is shocking

this is a great place for fish and chips. the staff are nice. the food is well presented, and it good value for money.

Not sure what potatoes they use here but they are get nice and cut into event sizes. Good curry sauce too

At first I thought I had come to the wrong place because the sign said Chinese-Take-Away and I was looking for a Whirleigh Green Fisheries, and then this place didn't sell Chinese food, but it was run by a delightful Chinese family with an English lady at the counter, there was a good selection of things to go with chips and all the prices were the cheapest I have found in Plymouth in a long time. Clean tidy but nothing fancy and there was a big chest freezer in the public area together with huge drums of cooking oil under the seating bench. But I liked it, particularly the veggie burger.

Have been going here for years. The food is always top drawer and the staff are very friendly. Always looks very clean and tidy. Recommended.
