Ernesettle Fish and Chips in Plymouth

Tasty fish and chips would go there agsin

Visited sea salt cafe St aidens and what a wonderful place great food chill atmosphere friendly people..

Never seen anything like this before, the Fish was fine, the chips weren't great, and the gravy was tasteless, might have well chucked some dish water over my chips. However I hear this little gem has been sold, and therefore better things are coming. But you must give this a try for the sake of comedy before its gone, as I have never in my life been served food this way in my life. You order your food and they chuck it down a children's slide at you!!!!! 🤣😂 (you just can't make this up)

No me impresionó mucho, mi hijo los recogió mientras el hombre detrás del mostrador seguía silbando ruidosamente de manera molesta. La comida no era nada especial, la masa era fina y sin sabor, las patatas fritas tenían muchos trozos y el papel estaba grasoso. No volveré, 33 por el desagüe.

Erniesettle is right by the sea and is very beatifull and has some really cool wild life and it goes under the bridge of Tamar Bridge which is our gateway to Cornwall and some awesome places caravan county and pub heaven....

Never open. Whenever I go here it is never open. Eventually managed to find shop open. Wish it was closed as food was greasy and tasted horrible. Portions are quite small which makes it seem very over priced for what you get.

never open ernesettle needs a proper cafe and a chippy thats open would make a killing

I can't get fish and chips anywhere else, as good as this shop, the staff are really friendly as well, and the customer service is excellent

I hadn't used this chippy for a quite a while, was actually heading to West Park to buy Cod and chips. Traffic was heavy so decided to go into Ernesettle. So glad i did, Cod was cooked to perfection with a thin layer of batter and not at all greasy. Chips not greasy either. Will defo use again but will buy the large Cod next time hoping it will be just as good. Staff very friendly, there was a small queue but that is a good sign to me that food is good. Just order what you want on entry so there is no delay when you get to the check out.

Well based on the few limited good reviews i went well out of my way to come here. Had a very under sized portion of very average quality chips which i paid full sized money for. The cod was ok as was the batter but nothing special . There are plenty of decent chip shops in Plymouth where you will get a normal decent portion of fish and chips for less than i paid. This was not worth the effort, I wont be returning .

Had tea here staff were very friendly and lovely Fish & Chips just enough good price however you can go large on fish and chips not Greasy or Oily definitely Recommend ..

I don't normally write reviews, but the fish and chips in honicknowle are the best I have had for a long time. reminds me of my childhood when people cared what they produced. You've got it spot on quality fantastic,service great ,keep up with the quality . will be down to end of month for more.

Agree about the look of the place not being all that but the is nothing at all wrong with the food, very nice hence there is nearly always a queue. Surprised about the very limited opening hours though.

I travel quite a bit with my work and when we moved to ernesettle and found this fish and chip shop we were very impressed, the portion size is fantastic and it tastes great, also the curry sauce is amazing. The staff are always friendly and helpful, would highly recommend.

Finally a chip shop in the southwest that know how to serve good fish and chips, served with a great smile and a good mug of tea.

I don't live in Plymouth, but my boyfriend does. Sometimes when we are hangovered or lazy we treat ourselves to get fish and chips from this place. Amazing chicken nuggets, great portion sizes and chips doesn't taste soggy and gross. Delicious. :P

I live in Saint Budeaux and always make the journey to this fish and chip shop. Love the people and the food :) Great taste, portion size and price.

Best chips I've ever had. Been going here since I was a child. Worth the trip even if you don't live in Ernessettle in my opinion.

Although I don't live in ernesettle I requested to get this place listed as they do the best chips ever! Never been let down :)

Must be the best fish and chips I've ever had and I would recommend the LARGE cod and chips, you need to ask them for the LARGE cod as they will cook it just for you, its fantastic. Would highly recommend this place, not the best looking shop but don't let it deceive you, the food is fantastic.
