The best restaurants serving Seafood food in Plymouth South West

Food was really good…… Just read that chef Lee Holland passed away in November and the restaurant has now closed. May he rest in Peace.

Came by this evening in search of supper. Fish Lounge including its off sales counter has been renamed as Ocean Lounge Some tables laid but not open to the public on this Thursday in mid June 2022.

Really great service lovely people very welcoming and the food was good too lol. Big portions so couldn’t eat it all 👍👍👍

We were recommended this little restaurant and made our way there on a quiet Monday lunch without pre-booking. The restaurant was quiet and the waitress was very welcoming. The service was impeccable and with a smile. We had the scallops, mussels, Dover sole, lobster, prawns risotto and calamari: all fresh & perfectly cooked. The meal was washed down with a bottle of Bollinger which complemented the delicious seafood.

Amazing what a little golden gem, we have visited Thailand several times and we always miss the food when we come home. The staff, food and service was wonderful, it’s like having a tiny bit of Thailand in Plymouth!!! Can’t wait to come back! khop khun khâ

Very expensive £12 for fish and chips

I’ve had many chippies but the chips here are in my opinion are by far the best I’ve had, reasonable priced and very large portions to 10/10

New menu so had to try. I don't do fish so had chorizo starter and bread followed by tacos. Absolutely delicious washed down with a delicious prosecco or two. Others had fish and chips which was equally enjoyed. The manager Steve was as always delightful. Chef came and spoke to us too. Lovely food, lovely location and staff

Best fish and chips we've had for years. Visiting family this weekend and happened upon this chippy and tried it, will definitely use again.

The finest hand picked crab you will find. Absolutely stunning location on Plymouth waterfront Parking available Friendly staff. A must visit.

Must have been here 40 times over the last 18 months 🤦‍♂️ And tonight was the worst meal I’ve ever had there! Trio of fish: red snapper the size of a goldfish and the same with the 2 nd fish - mackerel was ok size! Chips good but curry sauce looks like it was microwaved 30 times over 5 days 😱 Shame they just lost a loyal customer and dozens of others from the dock yard and the groups we used to frequent with 🤷‍♂️

I recently ordered fish and chips from plym fish bar and overall, it was absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, while the chips were golden, chunky, and full of flavour. The batter had that ideal balance of crunch and lightness, and the portion size was generous—great value for money! The only downside? **They forgot my curry sauce!** 😩 As someone who loves a good curry dip with my chips, this was a bit disappointing. That said, the food itself was so tasty that I’d definitely order again—I’ll just double-check my order next time! *P.S. Please don’t forget the sauces next time—it makes all the difference!

What a little gem of a fish restaurant. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive. Highly recommend the sea bream with greek salad. It was gorgeous. Washed down with a lively red wine. Will definitely recommend it, and we will definitely be returning. 😋👌😁
