Came by this evening in search of supper. Fish Lounge including its off sales counter has been renamed as Ocean Lounge Some tables laid but not open to the public on this Thursday in mid June 2022.

Benbow street chippy has been there forever, I'm 54 and i went here as a kid, staff are friendly and take your order quickly and everything is cooked fresh to order, fantastic place to get a treat as we do on paydays, prices are on par with most other similar places, we only go to these takeaways once a month so it was a welcome treat that didn't disappoint.

Best place to eat in Plymouth. We live in Dorset but always visit The Hook & Line when we are staying in Plymouth. Never disappointed, the food is always top tier, we recommend the Mussels and the Chowder as both were amazing tonight. Of course it would be rude not to try a couple of Rums whilst there and if you are a Rum drinker you won’t be disappointed with the selection on offer. The staff are always attentive, polite and welcoming which adds to the enjoyment of the visit. Oh and I believe the other side of the menu is Gluten free which is great for those that need it.

We were recommended this little restaurant and made our way there on a quiet Monday lunch without pre-booking. The restaurant was quiet and the waitress was very welcoming. The service was impeccable and with a smile. We had the scallops, mussels, Dover sole, lobster, prawns risotto and calamari: all fresh & perfectly cooked. The meal was washed down with a bottle of Bollinger which complemented the delicious seafood.

Looking for somewhere to eat on the Barbican, Plymouth..found Platters ...what a good choice I had the trio of fish ..which was Gunnard, Plaice & Bass... Absolutely cooked perfectly, my wife had the Crab Sandwich which she really enjoyed both come with limitless chips, we really enjoyed the experience, match that with a lovely atmosphere and great servers, needless to say I think we will be going back.

Decided we’d come to Barbican for cheap fish and chips which we take into the Dolphin to have with several pints of Bass, But the evening turned out very differently. Friday 11 April everywhere was rammed. Like a bank holiday even though Good Friday is not for a week. Very long queues outside the chip shops, no space to park or even pause to pick up a takeaway. We eventually found an eat in slot online at Rockfish and were finally able to find a parking space on that side. Plenty of customers but not heaving, a few spare tables, polite quick service. Hake was their fish and chip component and it was good. We had half a litre of white because one of us was driving. So no beers. A good deal more expensive than we’d intended for our casual supper plan but we had a god time.
