The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

Nick's Fish and chip shop is one of the best around! One of the only good ones left - friendly service, good sized portions and fish tastes super fresh. Cant fault this place!

We’ve had absolutely the best Fish and Chips restaurant experience here. We were invited here by someone who has been coming to this establishment for 30 years, and Rock Salmon was recommended and ordered by everyone in our party. It was the most delicious fried fish, a huge portion, and apart from one thick bone that had to be removed from the middle, there were no other bones, amazing! No wonder the Rock Salmon was sold out after one hour from opening. The restaurant section is very nicely decorated and clean, white table cloths on tables, small bar area is at the back. I would’ve given five stars for this review, but I had to take one star off for a 30 minute wait for our drinks while the gentleman/ owner ? was having a lively conversation with a couple of friends at the bar. We were the only people that arrived at the restaurant at opening time and he led us to the table, then proceeded to ignore us. After finally taking our order, the pace picked up, we did not have to wait too long for our meal to arrive and every single item was fresh and absolutely delicious. There is a takeout section next to this restaurant, and it was incredibly busy with a line of people out on the sidewalk waiting to get their hands on the delicious fish. I am looking forward to visiting again, because I’ve never seen the Rock Salmon anywhere else on the menu, but I hope the service will improve.

Daughter and Son-in-law just moved to Broadstairs and after a very long day they needed a boost! We all strolled out and headed for this place as they had seating inside. Lovely man welcomed us in. He had all cleaned up - it said it closes at 9 pm we got there at 20 to 8 - but Erman was ready to feed us! We sat inside and toasted our daughter and son-in-law’s new home. The batter on my lovely medium cod was light, crispy and delicious!!!! Husband’s haddock was very tasty. All cooked to order and perfect chips and curry sauce. I think they’ve found their local fish and chip shop!

Great service and good. First time ordering from here, simply after reading the reviews. My gluten free fish batter was the best I’ve had!

Went today (15th) for a birthday lunch, got there a few minutes early. The starters were very good the Salmon wrapped in Nori and the Prawn tempura but there was then a 40 minute wait between the starters being cleared away and the mains arriving. Despite the table next to us who were still having their starters when ours was cleared away getting their mains, including the Sea Bass the same main I had requested!!! The Sea Bass was enjoyable but the Haddock was very thin. After finishing the mains nobody approached us, so I ended up going to the till to pay the bill mentioning what had happened.

Always great food, staff are excellent, fish cooked to order and always mountains of chips, there kebab in a nann bread is amazing, excellent value meal deals and lovely fruity curry. Barry's Catch is the only Chippy in Barry I use, as Tina Turner once sang............. it's simply the best

Fish & chips cooked to perfection

We stopped here for a spot of lunch during the weekend away and it was lovely position, right on the seafront. We had the mixed platter for one the portions were very large. It was very filling and very tasty.

Lovely staff and good haddock and chips

Very disappointing last Friday evening - the only place for the fish (rock hard centimetre thick batter, dry and tough inside) was the bin. Completely inedible and a waste of money. It's a shame, as usually it is OK.

This place deserves a Michelin Star. Fantastic dinner and desert. Would highly recommend this place for a fish supper.

Absolutely disgusting to think this burger costs £4-£5. No salad offered and the tiniest bit of mayo added. Pure dryness in a bun, will be considering other takeaway options now.

Outstanding Fish and Chips and many other fast foods. The owners and staff are an absolute delight. Bloxham is so lucky to have this F&C shop.
