The best restaurants serving Seafood food in South East

I just left here after having scampi and chips - definitely the best I have ever had! The scampi was delicious - large portions, soft and tasty. Definitely will recommend and come back for more. The lady serving was polite and always had a smile.

Very disappointed, waited about 10 minutes, which made us think we were getting something freshly cooked. What we got was chips which were awful, looked like they had scraped the dregs of the chips. The battered sausage was horrible, the batter just peeled off. The calamari was tasteless and the batter was horrible. One of us ended up with a bad tummy after eating the food. Would not recommend EVER!!

Had to send my food back twice because it wasn’t cooked. The drinks order was forgotten and therefore very slow. And then they charged £16.50 for a glass of wine - the bottle costs £13 at Tesco. Very disappointed indeed.

If you want the best fish and chips you've ever tasted go here!!!! After a trip to Winchester me and my family were feeling hungry and happened to stumble upon this place. We were greeted like we were old friends by the guy behind the counter he took our order he was very attentive to the order making sure we had specifically what we ordered (fussy kid) he said as its all fresh cooked there would be a short wait and he would bring it over.... a 10 mi use wait and we were given our meals and my gosh were they worth the wait. The fish was cooked to perfection batter crisp fish soft it was perfect absolutely perfect. My fussy child ate all his food and clear plates all around. I live in Southampton and I will be coming back to Winchester just for the food and the fantastic service

I ordered a delivery of 3 meals which was very prompt. When I opened our fish and chips there was so much grease on the packaging I burnt my fingers. The fish batter was not crispy just greasy and soggy on the inside. The chips were dark brown, soggy and looked like they had been left over from lunch time. All 3 meals were inedible and 80% had to be thrown away. What a waste of food and money. We will not be ordering from them again.

Nick's Fish and chip shop is one of the best around! One of the only good ones left - friendly service, good sized portions and fish tastes super fresh. Cant fault this place!

We’ve had absolutely the best Fish and Chips restaurant experience here. We were invited here by someone who has been coming to this establishment for 30 years, and Rock Salmon was recommended and ordered by everyone in our party. It was the most delicious fried fish, a huge portion, and apart from one thick bone that had to be removed from the middle, there were no other bones, amazing! No wonder the Rock Salmon was sold out after one hour from opening. The restaurant section is very nicely decorated and clean, white table cloths on tables, small bar area is at the back. I would’ve given five stars for this review, but I had to take one star off for a 30 minute wait for our drinks while the gentleman/ owner ? was having a lively conversation with a couple of friends at the bar. We were the only people that arrived at the restaurant at opening time and he led us to the table, then proceeded to ignore us. After finally taking our order, the pace picked up, we did not have to wait too long for our meal to arrive and every single item was fresh and absolutely delicious. There is a takeout section next to this restaurant, and it was incredibly busy with a line of people out on the sidewalk waiting to get their hands on the delicious fish. I am looking forward to visiting again, because I’ve never seen the Rock Salmon anywhere else on the menu, but I hope the service will improve.

Fairly quiet as the hotel was quiet, lovely staff and great service, food was lovely, no complaints at all.

We swapped from our local fish and chippie that had become very poor to Molly's about 10 months ago after trying out several in the local area - it was a close run thing between them and Knaphill Fish Bar. Both really very good at the time. We are on the hunt again. The problem is the inconsistency and last weeks was particularly poor with the fish being very small, the batter thick and flabby, the chips dry - seems to have lost it's way. Maybe it's the new staff that haven't got to grips with what they are doing. When fish and chips are so expensive you want to eat and enjoy it. Come on Molly's, I don't like marking anyone down - and it's not just me. NB We have a fish and chip supper night with friends on a regular basis and they say the same :-(

Food and service are always great. I am a regular and have never had a bad experience. The owners are always welcoming and helpful

Haven’t been here for a while but so glad we did come back, never had a bad take out from Kingfisher to be fair. The lunchtime special was an absolute bargain and well sized. Thanks guys

Absolutely lovely service from the two gentlemen. Welcoming, efficient and friendly. Fish was delicious and freshly prepared and chips were good too!

The service and atmosphere was good but the food was plain. We were expecting a bit of spicy food but it was so plain that we had to use salt and black pepper so that we could eat them.
