Kingfisher Fish and chips in Southampton

Haven’t been here for a while but so glad we did come back, never had a bad take out from Kingfisher to be fair. The lunchtime special was an absolute bargain and well sized. Thanks guys

Best in southampton staff are so kind and welcoming. Fresh food you can see them making it in the back! Definitely coming back

I love it. And tried fish and chips in many shops. However this is best ever. Highly recommended. Have fresh prep and enjoy.

He comido pescado y papas fritas aquí antes y han sido bastante agradables, esta noche fue horrible, no volverán, los pájaros están contentos con las sobras (la mayoría) todavía tenemos hambre, desperdicio de dinero, papas fritas secas , (calentado, creo) pescado seco desagradable, mucha masa no un litro de pescado

We are regulars at Kingfisher, Wakefield. We think that their pensioner meal of fish and chips is very tasty and excellent value. You have a bread roll, hot drink, a large portion of fish and chips followed by a sweet. We always chose ice cream and chocolate sauce. The ambiance is nice and the staff are always cheerful and welcoming. We shall be off there again next week. For two pensioners you get change from a twenty pound note.

If this is still Kingfisher (signage indicates differently) then it's gone downhill since the previous people left before 'refurbishment'! No friendly welcome from staff and the ordered medium portion of chips would have struggled to feed 2 people let alone the intended 3 adults. He also assumed we wanted salt and vinegar on the miniscule portion of chips which luckily we could stop before he added it. We are not happy and will be taking business elsewhere in the future. Bring back previous staff!!

Good value and friendly staff. Love this place. Food are very fresh and always hot. They do slush and milkshake. All kids meal come with a drink and a lollie.

Huge range on menu. Good size portions and very well priced. The place is also kept very clean and tidy.

Kingfisher used to be very good, but the quality seems to have dropped dramatically over the last few months . They now seem to specialize in greasy fish and. Cold chip. Portion sizes seem to dramatically, the last time there I fed three people the same meal that were all totally different sizes

We've been coming here for a few years now. Mitchell is always friendly and professional. Food is pretty much cooked to order and always high quality.

He estado yendo a este lugar durante más de 30 años en sus diferentes aspectos y tengo que decir que este es el mejor hasta ahora.Me sorprendió y me alegro de que haya una selección de opciones sin gluten que estuvieron muy bien con mi hija pudiendo comer pescado y buñuelos después de muchos años.Los chicos son geniales y manejan una gran cantidad de pedidos en este lugar concurrido.

The food was fine in regards to taste it was hot and served as soon as it was cooked around 10mins (no such thing as quick cooked fish). Fish was smaller than the rownhams road branch and the youngsters not adhering to food safety policy was off putting. However I was the only customer and watched eagle eyed as they cooked it so all was fine. Better than La fish but equal to Lins fish and chips. Worth a try any complaints go to rownhams branch and speak to the manager there.

Some chips shops have their off days or bad times of the week. Genuinely been here many times and never had a bad experience. If your in the area and are looking for a good easy to eat fish and chips then this is it. Good quality at a fair price and generous portions make this the best chippy in hedge end

Great selection on the board. They cater for my son's egg allergy and they cater for vegans. Good quality, large portions. Great local chippy!

Okay, you wouldn't go out of the way to reach this chippy if you were in Southampton City centre, (it is situated on Shirley Road) but if you're staying in the vicinity or passing by car this simple fish n'çhip shop serves the most lovely errrr fish and chips ! The proprietor (cook) is from Madeira & his lady serving from Jersey, both are very friendly & their service & the quality of our favourite food is just perfect - really ! Nowhere nice to sit & eat there (it is a take away service) but for a common man such as myself I would recommend popping in to satisfy your hunger !!! :)
