Great fish and chips . All fish cooked to order so very fresh. Nice chips and curry sauce. Easy parking outside. Staff very friendly

Excited to return after they relocated to the golf course. The new site is larger and obvious change in ambiance people are stating, was expected. Had the brunch bowl which I used to enjoy and not surprised to see no change in its taste or quality. Beautiful views and cannot wait till the summer where you can sit outside to enjoy them, without the old issue of vehicles passing by constantly. Change is always hard but do feel their success outgrew the older smaller cafe. More space, means more people can enjoy the coffee and gorgeous cakes! Its a win, win

Honestly never had a fish pie like it. Was super delicious and I’ve been raving about it ever since. Sure I’m probably not the most adventurous when it comes to seafood, but if I was I’m sure the other well-presented dishes would be equally as nice. Service was spot on too.

Not good at all. Not clean and the guy serve with his hands. Not gloves or tongs . Need to change oil for fryer , the one used for my fish and chips was old and overdone. The guy definitely want retiring after a life time of cooking for another but if found difficult to do so.

Fantastic fish and chips. The fish is baked to order rather than deep fried in batter. You have to wait 10 mins because everything is cooked to order. Marvellous.

As for flavour, WOW it was bloody lovely and brought back memories of how fish nd chips used to be. Dont expect light crispy batter or firm crispy chips because its not going to happen. This is due to the beef dripping which doesnt cook as high temp as oil. I do feel it is rather heavy on the grease so therefore chips are limp and batter is soggy but get plenty salt n vinegar on jobs a good one. You go there for the original taste of the past. Staff are great as are the prices so whats not to like. Probably best taste outside of Beamish museum with same coal fired set up

Absolutely terrible. Sol has retired back to Italy,now it's just like any other mediocre takeaway. The fish are small fillets not the fresh qaulity that hangs out the box either end..

Been here tonight for fish and chips and it was delicious it was cooked to order so lovely and fresh I asked for batter which I got the fish was so white the staff were lovely and friendly will definitely be back

Had a fast food delivery, the food was packed with flavour piping hot and arrived as stated. Delivery driver was polite and professional. I had a hot shot Parmo, which was delicious, although it is huge, you don’t need the chips. Excellent recommendation as it is well deserved.

A lovely family run restaurant with a good vibe and superb food. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.

Queue was massive and waited an hour on good Friday to be served. It was worth the wait

Food lovely service awful. I went with my disabled pensioner mother and my 4 year old neice. As they brought the food to the table my neice spilt her coke all over the table. I would expect some help from the staff and an ask to refil the 4 year olds coke. That's what good service would be in my eyes. Instead the lad handed me a roll of blue roll and walked off. Never to be heard from again until it came to pay.

Tasted terrible and luke warm on arriving home (5min drive). Fish shoved in box by server with hands then handled cash. Poor hygiene standards. When i raised my concern the servers response was 'im getting wrong' as she said this to another staff member. Terrible response, staff not bothered. I explained to the other serve & she just stared and said 'and?' looking at me as though i was the problem. Threw 2 lots of cod & chips in bin, diguising. See for yourself re picture. Avoid and dont waste yr money or deal staff with awful staff with an attitude.
