Redz Fish & Chips in Hartlepool

Dissoppinted. Last twice I've been chips were very greasy, as if hadn't been left to drain. At 12.30 ran out of chips. I would have thought at that time of day someone would have had the forethought to keep on top of it more. Usually good but a bit lacking lately.

Nicely presented ,freshly cooked fish and chips .

£21.50 for fish and chips twice and two small peas, really small portions, had to wait ages as we had to order fish then when our fish were ready they had sold all the chips to the customers not having fish so had to wait again.

Every time,I'm in Seaton walking my dog,this is the place to go to. Absolutely brilliant fish n mushy peas with scraps and a can of shandy. Il be back very soon ,and the staff are truly marvellous ,very friendly Kev from Chilton 👍from me

£5.70 for sausage chips and curry with a can of pop. Tiny portion, about 15 chips and a light sprinkle of curry. Won't be returning

One day I had a regular portion of chips, nice but not very hot, yesterday I had a large portion of chips for 80% more money and it was hardly noticeable that I had the large portion.

Nice food but shocking portion sizes, I got a chip butty and barely had enough chips to fill my bun!! My pal got half lot and chips, you would of thought it was a battered stickleback judging by the size of it

Avoid the queues at the Seaton Carew chippies and get yourself som delicious fish and chips from the superior Harry's which is just around the corner on Elizabeth Way. Freshly cooked food served by friendly staff.

Went here because the shops on the seafront had huge queues. I’m glad I did the fish and chips were lovely with big portions. Will defo go again 👍🏻

We've been going to Redz for a while now and we've never been disappointed. The food has always been good, good portions, freshly prepared, hot and tasty. We now only get half lots as it is more than enough for us. Definitely worth a visit!

The title says it all really. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly, and of a high standard. It's now our favourite 'go to' chippy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Faultless service all round. (my mouth is watering just thinking about the huge piece of fish I got!) Highly recommended...

While the food was nice, the experience and problems with my order have made me think twice buying from Redz. I ordered a large cod, with chips, corned beef pattie and a spam fritter. I instead received the large cod with 2x sausages instead of the pattie, the portion of chips and the fritter. I rang up the takeaway and I assumed I must of talked to the owner, he stated he had no spam fritter and no corned beef pattie so I got 2x sausages instead. "I tried to ring you, but there was no answer...". My contact number is my personal mobile phone number, which is always available as my jobrole requires me to be on call. I'm not sure if Redz rang a wrong number or just wasn't bothered. I also stated to the man on the phone that I had not received the chips I ordered as well... "Oh, well do you still want them" he replied, I answered back with yes please as I've paid for them... "Hmm, right, erm, I'll see if I can... 'Ere, I'll just put the delivery driver on...". That was the response I received over the telephone. I was given the impression that he just wasn't bothered about my order, and I had to wait till the rest of it arrived before eating it with the family. May have been a genuine mistake, but the attitude of the staff and the problems with my order have put me off from buying from Redz again.

Great Fish and Chips Only need too buy small lot as the fish is a good size. It is always white fish and well cooked. Just add lovely Mushy peas.Can get really busy at times but wrth a visit.

Food wasnt bad really when it came just didnt like the delivery womans attitude she wasnt very polite and wasnt happy we live in west view and ordered from seaton..isnt that the whole point of paying a delivery charge! Overall ok but she put me off ordering again.

I visited whilst the seafront chippies were busy. The half-lot was huge and very well cooked, the chips were the best I'd had in a long time. Another good point is that this place is likely to be open when the others have closed for the evening. Worth a visit.

This is the best fish and chip delivery we've had in town, everything was red hot and tasty!! Very good service and food was even delivered in torrential weather, would definately order from here again!!

Fish was gorgeous, huge portion. Didn't receive the peas I paid a quid for.

very disapointed to see that the shop has been taken over by a man who quite frankly looks like a druggie this shop used to serve amazing food and had amazing friendly staff..after waiting for my food i left the shop and binned it. the man on the fryers was discusting he was shouting at staff, eyes where pinned and his hands and cloths where dirty!

Nice fish and chips. 5 minutes away from sea front but still gets busy. Always has half lots which is a plus, as a lot of the other chippies run out. Good family run restaurant.

Not on the seafront but this for me is the best fish and chips in seaton. We had the large cod and chips one night after visiting my dad who lives in seaton, took them back home to stockton and they were still warm and really nice. Cooked fresh and very good service too.

Ordered a before and had no issies. ordered just now and they call back an hour later telling me im not within the radius. the fact they took an hour to inform me is terrible il never go here again.

Very nice freshly cooked fish and chips. The nice thing is that you can half a half lot or ordinary fish and chips or large fish and chips. To be honest the half lot is sufficient and very tasty. Highly recommend. Queues not massive but plenty of people in and out to make the food fresh and not standing a long time.

Delivery took just over 2hours. Ordered at 5:15pm and came at 7:30pm. Shop was very apologetic when I phoned them twice. We had to warm food up, and it was nothing amazing, will not be using again...its a shame as the first time I ordered it was lovely.

Apparently my location (the headland) is out of the way from the Redz in Seaton so my order got put through to the Blackhall store instead. Very confusing. However, Blackhall - Redz still delivered and was lovely. Sadly won't be ordering again.

After waiting 20 minutes past the estimated delivery my food still hadn't shown up! Spoke to someone at justeat who informed me the manager didn't know if my order had been sent out and was being very unhelpful! Not the way to run a business at all! Not impressed! The person I spoke to at JustEat was lovely though so thank you to them. Redz, I won't be ordering again!

Foods not as nice as when I first started to order .. Hard chips & batter etc but does have nice days sometimes!

I go here all the time and get the kids fish bites and they are huge. This time they were ridiculous absolutely tiny I would be ashamed to serve them they were the size of a pop chicken. The food is lovely but this put me off not keeping up with what they usually sell, it was a let down.

Waited over an hour for delivery then had to warm food in the microwave! Although lovely food I dont expect to have to warm it up

The service was terrible and the delivery driver was very rude. I will never be ordering from here again!!!!!!!!
