Best fish n chips we've had for a long time!

Fish was nice and white batter was very brown as it had been cooked over and over chips ok but the price of £21 for fish and chips twice and a carton of peas should of been better won't be going again

Tea time treat this certainly was not went at 4 o'clock today chips and fritters where cold and overcooked peas cold only sausages where good. Always had excellent service and food here before.seemed to be possibly from lunch time what a let down.

I normally go twice a week, we went there on Tuesday this week 4th May the fish and chips had been recently warmed up, the fish was overcooked, chips were burnt and overcooked. We have been going there a few years, but unfortunately to the business we won't be goin again, not a good eating experience. Our tea cost us £11 and went straight into the bin. I don't mind the cost if I have a good eating experience.

Often visit this fish shop on a Friday where I get a large cod and my partner normally gets a fish fritter and chips. Never been disappointed with the meals. Always good quality.

I used to swear by this place they used to do the best fish and chips in town but after last night I wont be returning.We've never been for a few month and fancied fish and chips for tea,The chips where not the best and some didn't taste quite right in the middle (although they were cooked) and the fish wasn't even cooked In the middle at all.I was quite surprised to only see a few people in there as its normally packed, now I understand why.Wont be returning any time soon

my weekly treat its nearly that time of week again fresh cooked food amazingly friendly staff and my boys think its great they get a mucky beer(can of pop) lol

Absolutely awfull never again ..after waiting 10 minutes in queue placed my order for fritter and chips...was told it would be 10 minutes as there was none ready... 5 fritters cooked and ready I was told they were for telephone order (customer not in shop ) me standing in shop.. staff refused to sell me one so I got sausage and so called chips.. bit into sausage ..was cold and under cooked chips were all ends and bits .. if it wasn't the fact I had drove away I would of taken it back and asked for money back .. absolutely rubbish all went in bin

I’m from down south and was visiting family in Hartlepool, We had chippy tea as a family member recommend here! It was the best chip shop tea I have ever had absolutely delicious 😋 we shall be returning next time we are up.

Small portion, dried up,thin fish. Fish should be steamed inside the batter and flake apart, not be dry and chewy. Fish and chips are a matter of taste, but I thought low quality rubbish like this had disappeared years ago - utterly embarrassing. Has just left me with an old fishy taste in the mouth and a sense of being ripped off. Should have went to Seaton, or anywhere else.

Was a Friday lunch time very busy, Staff quick , efficient & friendly , food wasn't for myself & didn't like the frying smell, but you do expect that .

Chips were a bit dry. Fish was nice and big though and service was good.

Place lovely and clean ordered fish and chips for 3 and fritter and chips ,fish was in fryer so got it nice and fresh lovely and tasty not soggy batter like some fish shops will go again staff lovely and prices reasonable

I sent my partner to fosters fish and chips shop and what a big mistake!! £4.60 for "large" fish and chips.. saying the fish was the size of my hand is an overstatement!! It was more like a stingy half lot, a hand full of chips that wernt even that nice and fish was mainly batter.. total waste of money.. if you want good size and good value fish and chips go to whites fish and chips on shrewsberry street, i wish i did now. So disappointing.

El pescado estaba frío y sin sabor y las patatas fritas eran casi incomible. Nos lo tiró nuestras comidas, que eran pobres. Una verdadera pérdida de dinero.

Visited this takeaway on Saturday Teatime and ordered fish and chips for three. The fish in every portion was large and beautifully cooked in a light crispy batter. The chips were plentiful and cooked to perfection. An excellent fish and chip takeaway.
