We come to seabreeze every fortnight when on shift at a close by care home, your server Carole is just amazing she loves to see our lists and different bank cards ha. She always makes us feel welcome and always up for a laugh with. Asset to your workplace

we deffo won't be comin back here again this chippy cares about other people and are bloody rude! my bf only went in to get chips and gravey and the staff said to him we have to think about other people! if people didn't go to the chippy they would of ! I'd stay well away and go else where where it cheaper and staff and rude

Whenever we are near (we live in Leicester) we have to go here. Always outstanding, simply the best. Currently on holiday in Withernsea, that counts as near, right? Proper tasty Haddock and mushy peas

Being my favourite food, I am very fussy with Fish 'n chips and why not. I dont find it all that down South so I expect to have the best on our N. Yorks holiday and plenty of them - its an important part of my holiday. This year, on our arrival, after an extremely disappointing dried up and inedible meal at our usual seafront chippy down the coast a bit, we were recommended by a friend to try the Seabreeze. AND AM I GLAD WE DID.!! so guess what we had for our dinner every night after that for the rest of the week. Just had to give credit where credit is due and let you know. Thank you. Back home now, all 'Fish 'n chipped out', we know where we will be coming for food next time, and God willing, the time after that .... etc.

Specifically came here for the gluten free and we weren't disappointed! Cracking food, lovely service, and really helpful. Will absolutely be coming again!

Normally good ere but today cod wasent the best taste watery , chips ok mushy peas tasted funny , staff d seemed confused 1 staff talking to a woman after been served for 10 min about collage, y about 8 customers were waiting to b served , so no more going bk

The best fish and chips we have had in a long time. We stumbled across the shop by chance and so glad we did. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Just a stones throw from Redcar beach. We made our regular visit to Seabreeze for Fish and Chips on Friday evening 21st June. Queue was out the door but we didn't have to wait long. The gluten free fish and chips were the same as last time GREAT. Service was efficient and cheerful. The staff all seem to get on well with each other. Great team. Will be back.

Staff are great food average what wound me up is this place is a gold mine yet the owners think its great to CHARGE 20p for SCRAPS fatty scraps. How can you charge for that? Its like charging for fresh air outside. Shocking greed comes to head.

Massive queue outside but well worth the wait, and the queue speaks for itself. Amazing fish and chips. My family literally explores areas such as Hartlepool and Seaton for good fish and chips but this place here in Redcar was the best they have ever tasted. Fluffy batter and cripsy but tender chips. Can't fault this place and the guy serving us was so polite! We will definitely be coming back!!!!

Chips were more soggy than previous visit last year. Otherwise nice., But very expensive £31 for 2 x fish and chips, 1 x small fish plus sausage and chips and peas. it was 25 last time Hence wont be returning as it has become unaffordable and much cheaper to own using fish from supermarket....

They are the 'only' local chippy that will cook in veg oil, so vegetarian (pescatarian) friendly. They'll cover gluten free too. Not sure if they're vegan chips but they're nice.

Excellent traditional fish and chips with beef dripping. It's always nice to see places that still use old-fashioned tallow, not only seed oils. Good service fairly quick 👌 VERY tasty.

Got fish and chips from here was told if I wanted it cooked in vegetable oil. I said yes but when chips were saved they were overcooked and a bit burnt.

Really great place to get your fish and chips. You can pre-order, which is really useful as it gets busy at lunchtime. The staff are friendly and I've never had a bad meal from here. The portion sizes are ideal and are great value for money. This is my go-to place when I want fish and chips when in Redcar. Well worth a try and I'd highly recommend.

I have given this place a one star review, after a long day of travelling from the midlands, having numerous meetings along the way with the final at Redcar. I googled this place for something to eat, saw their oil cooked menu and that the website stated Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, only to be told that they only do it Friday, Saturday and Sunday and that their chips are cooked in beef dripping. Felt like we stepped back o the 70’s. Edit in reply to owner. I understand that errors happen, maybe turning off the optional on the menu when not in service would avoid issues like this. You have also mistaken for someone else regarding the phone call. I never called that day, therefore could not vent anything anything on the phone. Regarding your other points, it is extremely uncommon in 2024 to see animal products being used to cook other animal products, Hence stepping back to the 70’s. Would you consider not using animal products to decorate the bodies of other animals to enable people who would rather not contribute wot that to eat at your establishment? This would avoid extra materials, extra equipment and extra staff. Most people would eat the food cooked in the same fryer, but not in the parts of the animal you deem necessary to cook with. Please note 1 am review does not mean 1am written, if you accept the accept the error as a business, and find a way to move forward you would not need to pick up on minor details to argue with.

What should you capitalize there? Fish & Chips and Scampi & Chips were perfect. Of course there was a wait, but it was worth it. Thanks to the nice employees who serve every customer in a friendly manner despite the stress.

Went to recar for the day.. at the end of the day we went to this fish shop before heading home. We got 2 kids cod bites meals, for me and my daughter. You get 4 decent sized cod bites, lots of chips, a drink and a mini packet of sweets, we got haribo which I thought was so cute =) They cook in beef dripping, except on I think Thursday, Friday and Saturday they can cook in vegetable oil for vegetarians. Don't quoat me on the days I can't remember =') we where served by Graham who was really lovely, smiley and happy, which is really nice to see, he was happy to chat whilst packing our order up and made sure he checked that we had everything before we left. Definitely return but on a vegetable oil day so my vegetarian partner can also get something.

Takeaway Fish & Chip Shop with vegan options. Travelled specifically to get a vegan fish (Banana Blossom) and chips, the food was cooked to order in the vegetable oil as they also have dripping fryers. Waiting time was 20minutes, it was a busy time. Large portions and very tasty. Great to have a chip shop with vegan options. Recommend for vegans who fancy a chippy dinner.

We went to sea breeze yesterday for dinner and it was really busy inside, which was fine, we ordered £7.90 haddock, 2 chips, scampi and a bottle of diet coke which came to £21.40. When we got our food they didn’t give us the coke so we asked and the staff said we hadn’t been charged, so we paid again £2.30 as the store was very busy but we thought spending nearly £24 was a lot so we checked the prices and turned out we had been charged the first time for the coke, so we paid £4.60 for a bottle of coke. By this point, we had already driven home so didn’t want to come back but just to make people ware. The food was lovely though.

Great food Cooked fresh so hot when receiving your order Plenty of selection to choose from Staff pleasant and cheerful Downside on peak times there may be a big queue. But portions are good and quality of food good so worth the wait! Also only chip shop that does gluten free options as well.

This is the place to go for proper seaside fish and chips.

Called ahead just to be told they only use vegetable oil on the weekends, woman on the phone said beef dripping is cheaper?! Definitely untrue. Don’t understand why they don’t use veg oil everyday, using beef dripping is so exclusionary to so many groups: vegans, vegetarians, people of certain faiths, people with allergens. Veg oil is a cheaper, healthier, more environmentally friendly option that everyone can have, please consider getting with the times, look at the reviews on happy cow and Google, the demand is there!

First time here, we were not disappointed. Kids boxes are fab for the price. Fish and chips were spot on. Everything cooked fresh. I have no doubt we’ll be back.

Although a 20 minute drive from us (with plenty of other chip shops on the way) whenever we fancy chippy for tea, we never go anywhere else! Always lovely food with great service and it’s nice to sit by the seafront whether this be out on a bench in the summer or in the car during the colder months. We are usually served by Carol or Graham and both are so lovely and friendly. Graham’s cheery attitude really is infectious and puts a smile on your face, even on a gloomy day. Thanks for great food and service!

Our best fish and chip shop when we visit Redcar , lovely staff ,place is clean and tidy and most importantly the fish and chips are spot on ,lovely white fish ,batter nice and crispy and plenty of scraps ,would recommend.

The most amazing Gluten Free fish and chips, served by one of the friendliest and happy guys I've ever been served by. If you're a Coeliac, this is the place to go. Very careful not to cross contaminate, even the salt was kept separate just for GF. Well done, will definitely visit again next time I'm up this way 👌

One of very few chip shops in the area that have the option of frying in vegetable oil. I would suggest phoning in your order first. The food is always prepared to order and good quality.

This is a lovely chippy but was totally ripped of today. Me and my partner both got chip butty splashes today and we didn't even get a splash. Both of them had a dribble of gravy and curry on 3 chips and we paid extra for that which was a bit.of a joke really and there wasn't many chips at all neither it was in the smallest box. Such a shame

Well run chippy, if you have a decent size order I would definitely phone it through in advance so that it's ready for you when you turn up. Daughter loves the banana blossom. Friday evenings are very busy up until 7pm.

Fish very dry as if it had been cooked too long. Wasn't a thick peice of fish, it was a tail end so could have been the reason.

Okay, so this is your standard chippy, but 1. they have some unusual stuff on the menu. 2. the staff were friendly and 3. they have the best chippy curry sauce I have ever tasted, and I have had a few (would love to know the secret). Overall fairly good value, I had sausage but told by family that the fish and batter was lovely.

I cannot believe this place has such good reviews... Wouldn't normally make a review but this actually ruined our family night in. The fish was soggy and bland. The chips were undercooked. After a few bites we could not eat anymore and ended up chucking in the bin. I asked and paid for large curry and large peas and was given small pots. Staff were rude and incompetent. No queuing system and was serving people like a pub even though it was busy. Waste of money. This place was actually recommended so we thought we would try it out. Never again.

We tried sea breeze today and was pleasantly surprised. Two of us are vegans and wanted to try the banana blossom 'fish' and chips. There was a short wait as it was cooked fresh in a separate fryer (you can ring ahead), even the salt and vinegar was kept separate but it was so worth it. It felt amazing to enjoy a meal with the rest of our family without it being a completely different meal. Can't wait to visit again.

Great fish and chips and good service, there was a large queue however they quickly work through it effeciently and we're very pleasant.

Called off here for a bite to eat whilst passing through, we wish now we had just passed through without stopping. Portion size was plenty enough for us but the chips tasted strange and looked under cooked, also the mushy peas looked anemic they were very pail in colour and tasteless. Sorry we wouldn't recommend and won't be calling off there again..
