First time visit a couple of months ago and our meal wasnt very nice.I wrote a review and the owner replied to me immediately and invited us to visit again and have the same meal free of charge.As yet we've not been back partly due to the fact i feel rather embarrassed as I realise we possibly called at a busy time or perhaps just before closing and i think i was rather hasty with my review.I have given 5 stars as the owner got back to me straight away and apologised and invited us back for a meal which I'm sure we will enjoy as all the people who have taken time to write a rave review cant all be wrong.looking forward to a nice chippy supper tomorrow (embarrassment aside lol) watch this space!!!!!!!

Had large sausage and chips Cod and chips 5 crab sticks 2 curry sauce Couldn't fault anything.. the batter was lovely everything was very nice and filled us all up...

Been in Greece for 6 months and not had fish and chips. These didn't touch the sides! Lovely young man serving. Everything red hot and tasted great.

Went here as reviews seemed good. Arrived at 6.20pm on a Saturday night and even though they should have been open they were shut. Wasted walk and delayed tea.

Got fish and chips for myself and two friends. We all agreed that they were the best we had had in years!! Lovely fish, cooked well in crispy batter, nice chips and lovely scraps! When we finished, the only thing to be seen in the bottom of the cartons were a few drops of vinegar and a couple of minute pieces of batter / scraps…. NO GREASE!!!!! This is the first time I have been there in years, as I now live in Durham, (I was visiting friends in Skelton) but it will most definitely be visited next time I am through there!! To recap, EXCELLENT!!

Good food, kids are always happy. There are no gluten free options but they are a small but friendly chippy (hence no deduction for this).

Nice chips which I could eat, as they are cooked in vegetable oil rather than the beef fat which seems to be the norm in this area. Hubby enjoyed the spam fritters and potato fritters. Lovely mushy peas too. Friendly service and clean premises. We will be visiting here again while on holiday.

Oh dear!!!!! The fish was revolting, rather chewy with an unpleasant were and texture.

On holiday with my wife in Skinningrove Yorkishire we both wanted Fish and Chips for tea with Mushy Peas and a carton of Curry Sauce. I Googled fish and chips and the Carlin How Fisheries came up on our doorstep where we are staying in a holiday cottage i must say a well deserved 5 stars food was ready when i arrived well cooked fresh and hot just the way we like it. Also the young man behind the counter was very pleasent and helpful and the chip shop was lovely and clean well done to all. Mr R & C Graham ( Warrington England ).

Recently had new owners, only tried it once since but the Chips are nice and so are the battered sausages. Prices are reasonable.
