Went at lunch time ordered fish n chips twice. It used to be brilliant so what the heck has happened, the fish was swimming in grease and uncooked batter, the chips tasted like they were warmed up. We felt so sick we threw them away. Steer clear and go to Brixton where we usually go now.

Will not be ordering from here again. The chips were obviously reheated, as they were dry and hard, the “cheese” on them was virtually non existent! A lot more expensive that my regular chippy and definitely not worth the money. My daughter had battered sausage which she said was the only nice part of her meal.

Very overpriced. £11.95 for fish and chips, £1.75 for scan of soft drink. We wondered whether they could spare them!!! The fish was cut so thin we wondered whether they had cut one piece in two??? Give them their due the quality was good. But just felt ripped off. Our advice find somewhere else to eat.

Can honestly say that we were well fed and not badly priced too , proper chips unlike many others . Fish was lovely & im not usually a fish person but being by sea is a must to have it .. Had a nice chat too and it’s under new management so not bad for not much experience running a chippy , would definitely recommend

It's not the owners fault but this 'Clark's' pie I had here has to be the most disgusting pie I have ever eaten. I know Clark's are very good at their outlet in Grangetown as I've eaten them for many years ( on and off ), but this pie was extremely dry even when heated up. It's clear from this experience that Clark's have different pies on the go. The ones they sell packaged that go to chip shops around Cardiff are nothing like the ones they sell fresh from their own premises. The person serving at Tony's changed the pie for me as the first one was really dry, so I wanted it changed. The second one, which came straight out of the wrapper was exactly the same. Shocking & disappointing!! If I were managing Tony's, I'd stop selling Clark's pies and stick to Peters or Pukka.

? y tan grasienta. Chips iguales, muy grasosos y empapados. Los nuggets de pollo bien.

I've been a loyal customer of this Mr. Cod’s branch for over 16 years, and I’m truly disappointed with the recent decline in quality since the last owner left. Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a significant drop in food quality, smaller portion sizes, and an increase in prices. For example, the wings meal cost £7.47, and the size of the wings is ridiculous—one was barely the size of my little finger. Shown in the picture. The chicken burger patty has also shrunk both in size and thickness, making the meal far less satisfying than it used to be. To make things worse, when I tried to pay by card, I was repeatedly encouraged to pay in cash with the offer of a 10% discount if I spent a certain amount. While I understand offering incentives, it’s important to respect a customer’s preferred payment method. If a customer chooses not to pay in cash, that choice should still be accepted without pressure. I hope the management seriously considers this feedback. This place used to be great, and I’d love to see it return to its former standards.
