Run of the mill standard chippy. I won't be going again though because the hygiene standards are not up to the mark.

Ordered dinner and had to wait 2 hours had to say no to the order went for a curry witch was a lot better had to fone them back up 2 time and they were no interested in any think is was saying

Service ok but let down by quality of food.

Bad service. Awful mashed up chips. I complained when I seen the very poor quality of the chips, all mashed together in a lump. The young guy asked the older guy for fresh chips and he wasn’t happy, shouting at him in their own language. I finally got a tiny portion of fresh chips. They looked terrible. Tiny portion of fish covered in loads of thick batter. Hygiene is NOT their priority. Never again!

This WAS, a good chippy. Now, it’s gone downhill. Smaller portions. Smashed up chips, and loads of other things mixed in with them. looked awful. More batter than actual fish. Yes, it’s cheap, but don’t expect good chips and small piece of over battered fish. Pies all dried up. Young inexperienced lad, hadn’t got a clue!

Hygiene is zero and food quality is zero and one of the guy drop the food tray on floor and pick it up and same tray put my food in while I am watch him unbelievable

Ordered food for the family, prices are not too bad. I ordered a large mixed meat and chips, got home and found the chips were fresh but overcooked. The chips were not edible so went in the bin, the portion size was decent. It was busy when I went but you don't pull the chips when they are not done just to clear the backlog. 1 thing I expect a chip shop to get right is well cooked chips.

Favourite local chippy, im a regular here. Decided on a large fish and chips with an extra sausage. The chips were hot and fresh as always and the fish was huge. The food is fairly priced and service is always good.

Excellent chip shop.Great value for money,Decent size portions of food ,You always get loads of chips.Also great deals available.For example Pie and large chips for £4:99 lots of other options available.Also you can get Indian starters shish kebab, samosas pathoras and more.In all i would highly recommend this establishment.Im going to try the chicken tikka kebab in naan bread on my next visit.It seems very popular by what I observed.Altogether a great choice for a takeaway fast friendly service you won't be disappointed.Only thing is it is a cash only establishment.So just remember to take some cash.

My food was still breathing (not literally) and my cousin was not alerted that his food would be very spicy and he doesn’t like spicy.

One of the staff the old man is dirty. He touch his nose and straight away touch the cheese on burger with out wash his hand

Unfriendly welcome at this place, only wish I had turned around and walked out instead of spending my money here. The food was not good either and had to throw most of it away. Just another "don't care attitude place" do not deserve to be in business.

It's absolutely great for a donor kebab on naan and they do a very nice veggie burger meal.

Prices always change, also depends on who's serving you. They don't always listen or pay attention to your order then once they've done your order and it's wrong, they blame you for not being clear.

I think the price certainly represents the quality of food! Probably best to avoid if ordering the food as a delivery option! No sauces the meats,. Hardly any pizza toppings on the dough, food cold.

I found three small hairs in my fish and chips and personally I didn't care enough to run and get my phone to take a picture as I wasn't too grossed out. At first I was thinking it was a cat hair although it was unlikely since I hadn't touched my cats all evening but then I found the third one between two chips and I was sure it was from whoever served it. I just wanted to say the food was good and also good value for money but please don't let this happen again I'm pretty sure many normal people would be freaked and ask for a refund or something.

This place has been a fixture in my life for over 50 years, albeit with different owners. I now live in Wales but each time I visit Brum I pop in. The food is great and varied from fish and chips to fried chicken to doner to Asian delicacies. Prices are affordable and there is always great service

Bag of chips, hadn’t been washed properly. Still had grit in it. Living near by going past it for last 20 years. So going back to my old college road chippy . It’s worth paying extra 30p on chips. And service wasn’t great neither.

It was ok. Price is good and food was ok.

Cheaper than most chip shops in the area but still good quality of food. I have worked in 3 chip shops myself that charge sometimes double what these guys do and there isn't much difference in quality. The kebab is always nice and spicy which I like and staff are always friendly.

Shocked with the attitude when called in regards to a order that was delayed by 1hr 45mins the guy on the phone was telling me to be patient as he needs to give my food to other customers who ordered and took my order from the shop being as the food was already cooked then... I was told to drive in to the shop when food was meant to be delivered and delivery was payed for ... this is a unacceptable approach threatening and shouting down the phone at me I am a customer I have rights!!!! Definitely not returning ever again . Please avoid there dishonest staff made me wait and my kids starve very disappointed PLEASE BE CAREFUL THERS A BIGMAN ON THE PHONE !!! Also . Kind regards.

Everything was gorgeous and the noodles were lovely and crispy with the chow mein so much meat and no fat made the best one

Always a good experience when coming here very cost effective, decent quality and portion size too. The only feed back I have is sometimes they pour a little bit too much sauce for burgers etc and cook the meat darker sometimes it looks undercooked. Other than that it's fantastic!

Hot and miss, sometimes you get good fresh chips but sometimes they are the left over crunchy ones at the bottom of the fryer.

I have had FOOD POISONING SINCE EATING THE FOOD FROM HERE!!!! the Mayo on the chips tasted funky after having a few chips I threw the food away realising the sauce was out of date. I’ve been currently in bed for three days with aches and pains a high temperature feeling nauseous and suffering a slight headache DONT EAT HERE

As always this chip shop delivered tasty food in very reasonable price. Recommended.

Me and my family have been coming here since 2014, never had any issues whatsoever with the quality of the food. The regular staff there are always polite and there's always been a good community spirit in there. But past few weeks they must be underpaying their staff because it's bang out of order to try and overcharge on food and claim the prices have been like that for 3 years. That particular staff member (stocky broad Asian chap with goatee/ not the brightest) must be new because I haven't been served by him in the past but the arrogance to tell a loyal customer that they're wrong is a joke. I didn't want to argue as there were many customers. Guys you need to sort your staff out so they respect your loyal customers.

Have ordered from them many times always late. Never on time. Worst service ever. Previously my order has arrived cold. They never answer the phone as you can not do anything else if you order on Uber Eats

Tasty food. The chips are fantastic and big portions. The fried chicken and chicken burgers are also delicious. There are instances in which the staff forget to use the gloves and hats, other than that is a little busy place, be ready to wait for 5 to 10 mnts before being served.

Food is always hot & fresh & chips are always fresh out of the fryer. Service is great as are prices, they do great deals. I don't use any other chippy now as kids will only eat from this one.

Its the most reasonable priced chippy on college road. The donner is majority of the time undercooked. Or just has slabs of the end bit of meat thrown in so not strips. Chicken has been constant and decent can't lie apart from once where i ate it but could taste it was a bit off so smelt it which almost made me vomit..that day i was praying i didnt get food poisoning. Its below average in my opinion.

Food tastes okay, but when the staff adds up the total in their heads, rather than on the till, it's easier to make mistakes, either over charging or under charging. The staff need to realise that they need to use the till to add up the purchase, this way, no mistakes can be made, either way

Why add up the prices in your head instead of using the till. They are obviously losing money this way. Several times I've gone there and worked out the prices while waiting in the queue and each time, they're asking me for less than they should be asking for!!

Loads to choose from, good size portions, reasonable prices, friendly staff and 5 star food hygiene rating... highly recommend

I have bought food from here on occasions. During Ramadan we found hair in my mom's food so I decided to bring this to the attention of staff who didn't show the decency to even listen to me!! Appalling service not going here again!
