Waterloo Place in Sefton

It's called Waterloo Sunset now but hasn't changed. Miserable staff, sticky tables and expensive for what you get. I came once years ago and vowed never to return. I only ventured in here as someone from work had booked here. Will not return anytime soon.

Expensive. Dirty . Tables not wiped at all whilst we were there. Mud everywhere. Overcharged . Got refund when complained . Staff on counter young but very friendly . Staff member who served our food was older and very rude . No napkins . Not offered condiments …. Poorly ran place … could be great if properly trained staff / clean environment. Tables not wiped after use . Food and crumbs on floor when arrived …. Went to lakehouse first but fully booked .

Been walking along the seafront for many years pre covid. Really loved Waterloo sunset cafe. Went last weekend and very, very disappointed. No longer sell nice pies. The sandwiches, which used to be really tasty, were dreadful nothing like the quality they used to be. Did t mind paying over the odds but certainly won’t anymore. Cakes were no longer home made. So sad. Avoid at all costs What a great shame the new owners have such poor standards

It's in a good place for a hot drink after a walk but was a little shocked at the prices - £18.60 for 2 slices of cakes and 2 hot chocolates. Service friendly but slow.

I called in here after having a lovely walk around the Lake , taking in the the view in crosby , Liverpool . To find that that my pasty was so rubbery , because it wasn’t warmed up correctly in there microwave , what a disappointment. Patricia From Oldham

Very rude staff. Horrible grossly overpriced food. We will not be going back there. I will certainly tell my friends not to make the mistake we did and go there.

The new owners to be congratulated in making this cafe a welcoming place to visit after a walk on the beach or round the Marina. Dog friendly as well Pleasant efficient staff - fast service with a variety snacks and cakes. I recommend the bacon sandwich or pastie served with salad The additional of the ice cream counter particularly welcomed This is a much needed facility in a popular area of Liverpool with the Iron Men nearby

I stopped for a drink so I can’t talk about the food, but I can say the coffee was as cheap and nasty as it gets. I asked the bored looking guy behind the counter for a flat white with a bit less milk, to make it a bit stronger. I should have realised from the dead look in his eyes that I he wasn’t hearing me, nor did he care. I got half a pint of scalding hot milk with barely the vaguest hint of caffeine. For £3. It was nasty. I would have complained, but what was the point? No one in this place would have cared. Horrible service, horrible coffee. I literally poured their rubbish down the drain and went to Crosby Coffee House round the corner. Please do go there rather than this dump. Their cortado will knock your socks off.

We called to Waterloo Place yesterday for some lunch as we could take our little dog. We were a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but instead we got a very pleasant surprise. I had a delicious ham and mustard sandwich which came with coleslaw and salad. It was beautifully fresh and arrived within minutes of us sitting down in spite of the cafe being busy. My Granddaughter had the cheese and tomato pizza and declared it a winner and very tasty. My pot of tea was brought first by a lovely woman who said that she didn't want my tea to go cold. We even indulged in a piece of Victoria sponge each which again was delicious! The man who initially served us was pleasant and helpful and we will definitely return. Some of the reviews made this place sound like the League of Gentlemen but we only encountered a very pleasant, gentle man and woman who were in a league of their own!

wish I read the reviews for this place before I visited, I’ve been in the hospitality trade for over 20 years and I’ve never come across anything so shocking in my life, Ordered a sausage toastie and the sausages looked like they were going to be nice, then I had a bite and I honestly wouldn’t feed it to my dog, it was like chewing on rubber, these were definitely cooked the previous day and re heated, warm on the outside, cold on the inside. My husband and I left our food and walked out, won’t be returning. Such a disappointment as it’s a great location. Clearly who ever runs it has no management or catering experience, and just using it as a cash pot because of its location.

Coffee is okay. Over priced but nice. But the staff are strange theyre always off, rude which creates a tense atmosphere. It's a convenient location but not worth paying the prices for the lack of manners you experience. Everyone I speak to says the same. HIRE FRIENDLY STAFF.

This place is always rubbish for service. I don't know why I keep going back. Another customer mentioned there was no toilet paper. When she moved away the staff member said to her colleague that she wasn't arsed about the toilet paper. Everyone in the queue could hear. Waterloo needs you to be better. Why is everyone so miserable here??

Rude staff, hair in food, overpriced, dirty tables! Avoid at all costs! . Plenty of nice restaurants in the local area. Only plus point is they’re dog friendly but even that wouldn’t be enough to sway me to go back.

This place should be a Gem. Sadly rude staff let it down. Won't be coming back. Food was expensive and generally poor.

Called for drinks / snacks while nearby with our dog. No problems with bringing a dog in. Busy time, was told service would be 15 to 20 minutes. Drinks came straight away and food no more than 10 min. Nice toasties and sausage roll and big pots of tea. Good value and clean.

Went in for 2 hot drinks, waited 20 minutes before we were served, young lad who was serving, just looked at me waiting for me to tell my order, no smile or acknowledgment only spoke to say “ how you paying “ : no thank you , I just looked at him took my drinks and went . This isn’t the first time this had happened, management need to teach the young one working there CustomerService.

Visited here this morning for takeaway tea and coffee, served by staff member with short blonde hair in the most cold and unwelcoming manner. No hello or smile,or can I help you? Just stood behind counter and looked at us. My daughter asked for 1 tea and 1 coffee,which came to £5.20, she had £5 note,and asked if its okay to wait for me to return (from using facilities) for the 20 pence,staff member just looked at her and turned away .My daughter asked for soya milk,and this staff member said " You want soya milk ? " ,and turned away with a big sigh, before saying " thats an extra 50p for the soya milk then". There is no need for this surliness towards polite customers simply asking to order a drink It was as if we had offended this person by coming into the cafe and asking for drinks..My advice- go up South Road to Gregg's where the staff are friendly, and nice drinks at half the price!

Overall poor Stopped for lunch. Poor service and very poor toasted sandwich. Too many staff standing around chatting to each other. Will not rush back

Popped in for a bit to eat before going for a walk on the beach. Place was empty, 3 servers on duty yet it took the best part of 25 minutes to make me a cheese and ham toastie. The servers spent most of their time playing with their phones or being luvvy duvvy with each other. Food was good, they just need to pull their fingers out. God knows what it would be like if it was busy.

I walked along a very windy beach today, and thought l would go in for a bowl of their homemade soup. The soup has been wonderful in the past with much care and attention to flavour.Unfortunately the tomato and basil soup today was basically boiled tinned tomatoes with a sprinkling of dried basil.The three waiting staff out front were just chatting amongst themselves and playing quite loud music.This cafe has great potential, but when not busy please keep the standard up.

Popped in here for an ice cream after a trip to the beach. The ice creams were nice and my daughters loved the unicorn cones!

£25 for two coffees, two ham and cheese toasties and a pizza slice. The coffees were warm not hot and tasted like instant. The cheese in the toasties was like rubber and portion size was pathetic.The pizza slice had hardly any cheese on, tomato purée had been used on the base which tasted like metal and the bread base was undercooked.Save your money and walk to greggs.

Visité Waterloo Place (Waterloo Sunset Cafe) hoy.Entonces, para el almuerzo, el menú dice tartas y tostadas. Inflated prices after re opening and average service . Wont be returning after many visits prior to the lockdown . There are other cafes nearby but felt let down by silly prices.

Lovely location even on a bad weather day. Coffee was nice, food was microwaved, a little over priced, the staff were Rude and unwelcoming, Cant understand why you would run a cafe if you have no people skills and dont want customers.

£4.25 for two slices of thin bread with a filling, nothing else.No salad, no good quality wedge style bread, nor any accompaniments.It's like a sandwich you make when you're short on time, except you would still manage to throw a few salad leaves on.Don't expect to be greeted either, when waiting at the counter. They may do this when they have finished serving the current order they were fulfilling, by asking what you would like. No hello or hi, I'll be with you on a minute. Two people serving one table of parents and two young children and not a single one could acknowledge my father on law, whilst he waited at the counter.They take advantage of them being the only place to be able to grab a bite to eat.We will not be visiting again. Next time it's a picnic.

Called here for a coffee at 2.30 today. Cafe was busy but doors were locked and we were turned away. No explanation. Very disappointing as we had looked the place up before we decided to call there after a walk.Need to add opening times to the website if this is the norm.

Visité el lugar de Waterloo por segunda vez hoy. La primera vez que visité, la señora detrás del mostrador fue increíblemente grosera, sin sonrisa, sin calidez. Me sentí muy incómoda e incómoda pidiendo mi café. Fue una pena ya que el entorno de la cafetería es tan encantador. Decidí tener una mente abierta, todos tienen días malos después de todo. We stopped here for late lunch after a lovely coastal bike ride from Formby. The food was delicious and the cakes were even better! Would definitely return if we were visiting Crosby again.

Visité Waterloo Place con la familia hoy. Visité por primera vez hace unos años y luego, realmente han ampliado y desarrollado el menú. Teníamos entre nosotros un sándwich, 3 rebanadas de esponja Victoria, una rebanada de pastel Red Velvet, 2 claras planas y 3 ollas de té. Las bebidas estaban calientes y la comida deliciosa. Me encantó la forma en que se servían el pastel y las bebidas en platos de porcelana realmente agradables y en teteras con té y coladores de té reales. Volveremos pronto para probar más del menú.

We used to love this cafe. Small and cosy and the previous owner has done a very good job, we always felt welcome. The new owner does not seem to care about customers or customer service. The staff is rude, impolite and unhelpful. She was more interested having a laugh with her mates than serving us.We went there one Sunday and while we were having our cake and tea, cleaning lady started cleaning the floors, the whole cafe smelled of bleach. Total spoiler. Another time they run out of tea and cups and we were waiting 20 minutes for them to get ones from the close by shop.Another time on Saturday afternoon it was already shut at 3:45 pm, with no apology or explanation. We just feel they don't care about customers. It is rather sad.

Place is exactly as I expected it to be after reading the reviews. An alarmingly high number of one-star ratings and a suspicious amount of five-star ratings should say it all. Pie was incredibly overpriced for what it was and I wasn't acknowledged by the two girls behind the counter upon my entrance. No smiles, no personality when my order was taken. Don't bother.

Booked this little cafe via The Little Macaron Shop. Who provided all the yummy cakes, jellies and pastries for my brother's birthday tea party.

Tenía el desayuno vegano completo más encantador, así como muchos cafés! Mis amigos y mi familia tenían papas fritas y salchichas y eran igual de sabrosas! ¡Realmente recomiendo este lugar ya que es 100% libre de plástico y 100% vegano, nuevo hallazgo favorito! Visitamos el puerto deportivo de Crosby para pasear a nuestro cachorro en un día soleado pero frío. Encontramos este café por accidente y decidimos tomar un café para calentarnos. El café es cálido, limpio y el personal es amable. También pedimos dos tartas de queso y cebolla que son un poco caras pero deliciosas. Nos gustaría visitar de nuevo!

No recibes mucho por tu dinero aquí. . Sándwich de jamón - literalmente lo que obtienes es pan y jamón. He visitado Waterloo Place dos veces y ninguna experiencia fue muy agradable. Had two coffees and cake. Food was nice and the decoration very appealing. This place would be packed and making a fortune if they put the prices down. How a pie costs £6 is mind boggling. I know of a few people who wont come here because of the prices. Saying that the staff where friendly and we where made to feel welcome.

Three of us called in here over the Christmas break for a warm snack. There wasn't anyone else queuing at the time we entered. Behind the counter one person was making drinks while the other was scowling at the dirty dishes. We weren't acknowledged by either person just given hard stares, obviously customers expecting to be served was an inconvenience. Eventually we were grunted at by the 'waitress' and we requested three lentil soups along with the artisan bread. "No, only have two portions left" this was at 12.15, lunch time! So we ordered two lentil and a different one. When the soup finally arrived this was lukewarm and was served with artisan sliced brown bread out of a packet, already marged, very artisan! We were never asked if we wanted the cheap spread, which not all of us did. One person has a dairy intolerance, consequently we had to go back and explained this to the grumpies and ask for plain bread, "won't be a minute" , she was right, it wasn't, after five and the soup nearly gone, again back to the counter. This time we got a slice, thrown on a plate and banged on the counter. The bad service and rudeness carried on when we ordered our drinks. Definitely not an eating experience I would recommend

A group of us cycled 15 miles from Southport to Waterloo Place for a drink and a snack today. The food is very expensive at over £6 for a pie and over £3 for a single slice of sliced white bread with a filling. I ordered cheese on toast and waited half an hour and still hadn't received it despite twice reminding staff what I'd ordered. I ended up having to ask for a refund for my food order as the group I was with had all eaten and we're ready to set off cycling again. The place wasn't overly busy and I got the distinct impression that the staff were not at all organised or bothered about failing to serve me. I won't be going back there again.

So the owners don't read the reviews as the staff and service is beyond appalling. Holiday Friday, just by Gormley's Another Place on Crosby Beach, 12ish, yes it's busy and these two couldn't have made it plainer that they hated everyone who had the cheek to enter. 15 minutes while one emptied and refilled a dish washer ignoring the queue while the other one spent that time making three, yes Three! drinks between marching to the doors to lock and then unlock them. A disgrace, I had friends visiting the area who were stunned, is it always like this in Merseyside? No, a thousand times no. Don't go as the owners have obviously been informed and couldn't care less. What a shame.

On the way back after along beach walk we went for tea at Waterloo Place cafe. Excellent service from friendly staff, superb chocolate cake, and refreshing tea.

We ‘stumbled’ across here for a coffee & cake stop. The bonus was a small gallery of local artists work. The coffee was some of the best, the Lemon & Blueberry cake was really lacking lemon but still ok. The gallery was great and we couldn’t resist buying a local piece.

Visited with a friend for coffee which was decent and served to the table efficiently. Drinks priced much the same as most well known coffee shops. Was surprised at the prices of pies on display @ £6.50.....!

Called in for lunch and had to wait stand there and wait at the counter about 15mins to even be acknowledged whilst the two rudest women scoweld at each other and use like something they'd stood in. Asked for beans on toast to which she shouted NO at me, that's the breakfast menu and it's finished very abruptly. Only had a coffee in the end which took an eternity to get come, then when I asked if they had any sweetner she just tutted loudly and rolled her eyes as if I'd asked her to run a marathon for me. Cafe also had a couple of dogs in it which I can't really say is very appealing around food. It's a shame as it could be a nice cafe in a good location.

A friend and I popped into Waterloo Place while visiting the area. The paintings and prints in the gallery within the cafe are beautiful and so reasonably priced.

Great food and coffee after a walk down to the sea. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly so wonderful if your pooch needs a rest and a drink too. Would highly recommend it. Art on display too.

My mum and I visited Waterloo Place yesterday with my dog,and it was lovely.We had a delicious sandwich on amazingly fresh bread,and very yummy cake. (My mum had the lemon and respberry and I had the Blackwell tart). Coffee was really nice served in very nice cups.The two girls serving in there were so lovely too,very friendly and helpful.I found the prices were good too.

We’ve recently moved to Liverpool, this is now our 3rd trip to the cafe over several weeks. Each time we’ve been greeted with friendly staff who are happy to help. Food has been excellent, fresh and hot every time. Will definitely be coming back for more.

Mi familia y yo llamamos para almorzar después de una tarde en la playa a eso de las 2 p. M. Fui al mostrador con mi hermana para pedir la comida y fue ignorada por 3 mujeres detrás del mostrador, ¡hasta que tuve que preguntar si todavía estaban abiertas! La chica que tomó mi pedido parecía absolutamente lívida por tener que hacer un trabajo, y fue tan grosero. Luego se acercó a una mujer mayor y le dijo: "Te van a destripar, a un gran problema aquí". Cuando miré a la mujer mayor, ella puso los ojos en blanco y negó con la cabeza. No podía creerlo. Le dije a mi hermana que les iba a decir que lo olvidaran, que no merecían ningún negocio, pero a mi hermana le preocupaba que sus hijos tuvieran hambre y que era demasiado tarde para ir a otro lado. Se sacaron los cafés y la chica dejó la bandeja y dijo "un café con leche y 2 capuchinos", le dije "se supone que son 2 blancos planos pero los tendremos", a lo que ella contestó "cappuccinos y planos" los blancos son casi iguales de todos modos "! ! ! Los sándwiches salieron unos 15 minutos más tarde, ¡fueron una desgracia! Pan duro y aproximadamente 5 libras de queso más grueso que el pan. Nunca más. Es una pena que el café está en una zona preciosa. El propietario debe controlar al personal antes de que se cierre. ¡Deberían ser felices si la gente gasta dinero allí y los mantiene en un trabajo! !

We had just finished litter picking on Crosby Beach and we were very thirsty. Had drinks and an ice cream, nice place friendly staff. Cakes looked delish but we managed to resist temptation.

Se dan otra oportunidad si estamos en el área.

Visité aquí con un miembro de la familia recientemente. El café está bien situado para las personas que visitan la playa, y la decoración interior del café era precioso. La comida era un precio razonable y estaba delicioso, sin embargo el personal no era muy amable, y bastante abrupto. No nos iremos de nuevo.

Nicely renovated historic building, with sunny rooms and art work on the walls. The ladies that served us were cheerful and friendly. Good simple food and reasonably priced.

Mi esposa y yo llamamos en con nuestra nieta de dos años, en una mañana tranquila entre semana durante el semestre. Disfrutamos de capuchino, croissants y una galleta de limón muy fuerte. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Había leído en el periódico local gratis el café había cambiado recientemente de manos, así que ojalá los nuevos propietarios bien con esta empresa que goza de una estupenda ubicación, especialmente durante los cálidos meses de verano, cuando el número de visitantes a su más alto. Vale la pena una visita.

Fui con mi padre después de un paseo por el paseo marítimo y no podría haber sentido más bienvenida el personal era muy servicial, incluso cuando estaba siendo exigente en lo que podía poner en mi bocadillo. La comida era muy buena y volveré la próxima vez que visitemos

Como visitante a la ubicación, Crosby, comida y bebida el menú parecía bueno, de ahí la razón para visitar, sin embargo, si vas a llegar 10 minutos ignorado casi permanente en el mostrador (sólo con otro cliente se sirve) y con 2 asistentes detrás del mostrador que no admitía, entonces es hora de cambiar. Cuando pregunté si podía ser servido me dijo "estoy muy ocupado" (vaciar el lavavajillas. . . ). Mi madre, que estaba conmigo en el tiempo, que vive en Crosby, habló con el gerente a menos de una hora de nuestra visita, quien respondió que ella no estaba interesada. Buena suerte con el negocio, donde el servicio al cliente es de suma importancia para hacer que sus clientes satisfechos y fomentar visitas de vuelta.

Este café está limpio, bien presentado y razonable. El personal es muy servicial, y que sonrisa sonrisa primero. El café es real y no recibirás buena cafetera agua hirviendo. Las tartas son fantásticas y hay un menú muy completo. Si tienes un problema y luego preguntar sobre esto, no esperes al personal intuitivo y saber lo que quieres. Gracias chicas, nos vemos pronto.

We stopped for tea and bacon toasties after a bracing walk along the beach. We also ordered some home made cakes. The tea was traditional tea leaves and all food was of a good quality. Very pleasant situation and good to sit outside. I have to say though that the staff could do with a little training regarding smiling to customers. As everything else is fine with the tearoom this would undoubtedly raise the Trip Advisor score. Costs nothing and is important.

Este es un lugar encantador, en una excelente ubicación con un menú decente. Sin embargo, el personal no tienen habilidades de servicio al cliente de ningún tipo. La mayoría de ellos no son aún capaces de esbozaban una sonrisa y yo sólo puedo suponer que están siguiendo el ejemplo establecido por el propietario/gerente, que es posiblemente una de las personas más maleducadas que he tenido! Aparecimos después de nuestra visita a Anthony Gormley de otro lugar y eran simplemente buscando una y una taza de té. Tenía el lugar recomendado, pero fue mejor de lo que habíamos imaginado desde el exterior. Calidad, tés y cafés en bonita vajilla y craqueo tartas eccles! Solo nos lamentamos que tenía un enorme desayuno como los pasteles de aspecto fantástico. ¡volveremos!

Visited for breakfast on a windswept spring morning and enjoyed a tasty well cooked bacon sandwich in pleasant surroundings,but not one of the five members of staff had a smile on their face.

I was alone and popped in for a hot drink. There were 2 ladies behind the counter one stirring soup the other lady acknowledged me said she was serving someone with cakes and would be with me in a minute. This was fine I was happy to wait while she finished the previous order.

I live near here and spent a lot of money here upon moving there recently.The staff are lovely and really helpful .The place and setting is great and the food is nice..

I went to this cafe (Waterloo Place) with my sisters and here two children, who had been visiting me. We went for something to eat when we had to leave suddenly before ordering. As we where leaving I noticed the owner of the cafe pulling faces. Just as I was going out of the door I heard the owner say to one of my sisters in an abrupt, loud and disgraceful manner "Did you not order anything. You should not have used the toilets then". My sister was surprised at what she had said and explained that we had to leave and that we did not use the toilets. While my sister was talking she turned her back on her, ignoring her whilst lighting a cigarette. I felt ashamed and upset that I had taken my sisters to this place to be abused.

Food was fine but service & attitude of staff was horrendous. Very busy due to Mother’s Day so blocked off exit and entrance (which were main fire exits) to prevent others coming in but instead of explaining just told people too busy .When I suggested this wasn’t safe just told there are fire exits out the back . This business won’t get return customers with staff attitude

Ventured into this cafe for a takeaway coffee and was met with very rude service as previously experienced. Manager is just not a people's person and should not be in the service industry. Shame because the location is fantastic but I won't be trying a 3rd time.

He estado aquí un par de veces, y me gustó. Eran geniales, con permitir que mi perro y la comida era excelente. He estado dos veces recientemente y han dejado muy decepcionado en ambas ocasiones.

Came across this little place while walking the dog along Waterloo beach front. This place is dog friendly,spotlessly clean, plays great music on vinyl and serves gorgeous food. The staff are friendly and chatty. Popped in here for a coffee and snacks...lovely quiche with a salad. This is a great find, the interior of the converted bogs is such a lovely job, books to read, artwork on sale...highly recommend.

I visited this cafe after having gone there the previous week with my family and small well behaved puppy. Previously we were treated very well and the dog was allowed to sit on our laps because she is not clear of her post vaccination period and cannot sit on the floor with other older dogs yet. My second visit was completely different. One of the staff told me we weren't welcome in these circumstances and we frankly rude. Please clarify with your staff what your rules are. You can't advertise yourself as dog friendly when you only occasionally are.

Me and my partner visited late morning todayOur food was lovely and the service polite.It was our 1st visit - and after reading other reviews of "bad staff attitude" perhaps our visit coincided with the manager being present (other reviews seem to suggest it improves when she is !).Perhaps i need another visit !

Proper tea. In a pot. Loose leaf with a tea strainer. Range of teas, including decaf available. My partner informs me that the coffee is good too, but I wouldn't know about that.

We went to this cafe and had very nice sandwiches and very pleasant service, not having been around Waterloo for a long time this is a great asset for the area.

Don't have the sandwiches! We were very disappointed with our lunch. I'll not be going back. The service was also poor.

I visited Crosby coastal park on Sunday for the second time and having previously spotted this particular cafe and thought after our walk we would pop in for a brew and some cake. On arriving to the coastal park (1.15min drive from our home) my 4 year old was desperate for the loo. Now I am not one to use facilities where I am not prepared to spend money but thought given it was my little girl that needed the loo and it was the most convenient place I could see to pop in it should the an issue. How wrong was I!!! A lady from behind the counter bellowed across a busy cafe in a rather unwelcoming tone 'can I help you?!' I asked it would be ok for my little girl to use the loo and before I could get my words I was told very specifically 'that there are 21 public toilets over the road'! I explained that we were actually intending to call in and that it was for my child and was told 'as long as your going to buy something'!! Other customers within the cafe were rolling their eyes and shaking their heads at the really abrupt response I received. Now I understand a cafe doesn't want their toilet to be used as a public convenience, they made this quite clear once you got to the toilets with instructions all over the door to say 'don't use unless you are a customer'. However I think you do need to think about the way in which your staff come across. I was a part of a group of approx 40 people walking together that day and once I told them what had happened they decided to go elsewhere. Sometimes it's all about first impressions!!!

Went here with my gran and sister, only one table available and this hadn't been cleared. Joined the queue to order lunch ,whilst my gran uses the disabled toilet. Another customer asked a lady behind the counter to open the non disabled toilet as there was a queue. The lady behind the counter was in my opinion very rude and didn't want to open the toilet and was so stroppy. I was amazed at her attitude and the obvious sly looks to other staff. It made me feel uncomfortable witnessing the issues this lady had with a paying customer using the toilet. The menu choices are very limited.. either pie,sandwich,quiche or soup. We ordered soup, and two sandwiches and they were all bland and not worth the money. The coffee was nice. However ,we had to ask for the table to be cleared. That caused another scowl, and a very unfriendly removal of previous customers leftovers. There seemed to be constant consternation behind the counter about toilets being used. Very unhappy staff and unhappy food. Just a very unpleasant atmosphere and no idea about customer service. Would not return.

Called in on a wet Sunday afternoon, received a v friendly welcome, comfortable inside, we ate a spicey soup, a cheese pie and lemon merangue cake, all well presented and tasty.Would recommend and revisit.
