Driving home and past this place decided to get the family chips for tea. £8.40 for 3 portions of chips to which they were the size of a kids meal. Will not be going again. I felt as I walked in I was interrupting the woman. No smile or a hello aswell :/ Chips were luke warm not sure if they have been reheated or not.

Don't often get fish and chips but usually come here when i do. Fish was cooked fresh and with 2 others in front of me it was a reasonable 5 min wait. Cost £8.60 for large fish and small (but ample) chips. Pretty sure I've paid £20 elsewhere for fish and chips and this was very tasty. Homemade pickled onions rounded this off.

Wow. How can it be this bad? I ordered 2 items from their Chinese menu. Set meal for 1 A was made up of three items. What we got was a tray about the size of a family pie with a small portion of each mixed into this one tray. The pork was tough and fatty and this for £10!!! The other item was special fried rice. At £5.60 it seemed good value but the tray was tiny. So to make their price low, you get a small meal which I question if it was actually 'fried' rice. If you can travel to another Chinese, even if it's miles away, it'll be worth it.

I like the food here, but ordered tonight a Chinese chicken curry, tiny portion, carton half full and only 4 small pieces of chicken! Never used to be like this! Won’t be returning sadly.

Absolutely appalling prices for the Chinese food, the portion size might as well be for kids, ordered a chicken chow mein for almost £6 and the portion was half of what I’d expect from anywhere else. Kung Pow chicken was 80% water chestnuts. Food tasted okay but barely enough to fill up. Will never come here again unfortunately. Had to order more food for the family 2 hours later from a better Chinese

Disgusting !! Spring roll was literally swimming in grease in the bag. The veg inside was grey mush and not in any way edible. The chow mien portion is so small iv never seen a takeaway charge for a tiny package. The chips where the bottom of the fryer and not edible! All in all we spent £25 on food that no one could eat. Chicken balls where ok only!

OMG! What a disgusting meal we opened up to when we arrived home. The Chicken Curry was bitter and we did not eat it. The Mushroom foo yung (for a vegetarian) turned out to be shredded Chicken and mushroom, so in the bin, looked disgusting! The chips were over cooked maybe they were from earlier in the day , heated up , again, in the bin! Just through away £18 I would rather have given it to charity ! Will never ever go to this establishment again . Appalling !!!!!!!

Ordered fish & chips. Spent almost 10 quid. Kindly asked for a fork. They said that normally they charge for it but gave me for free this time. What a joke! Any place you go you get it for free. The food itself was average. -1 customer. Good luck with your business.

Nice fish n chips, I had the large haddock, batter was crispy still when I got home, chips nicely done. I'd guess triple cooked. There's a Chinese takeaway there too but we didn't try it. Menu looked reasonably priced. Easy access off the main road too.

Always have to wait so long. Prices aren’t great but would be ok if it was decent portions. Large chips is £3.20 but looks smaller than a small. Not very good value

Nothing is ready so you have to wait a minimum of 10 Minutes for anything you order and that’s if it’s quiet. Service is poor, haven’t got a clue what they’re doing. Portion sizes are the poorest I’ve seen from any chippy and they charge more than most in the area to. Average tasting. Won’t go back.

We had our Jive class Christmas party last night. There were 29 of us, the order was ready on time for pick up. The fish and chips were very good, there were no complaints. Thoroughly recommended. Well done and thank you very much. 😊

Daughter and I stopped there on way back from elsewhere and decided we needed to eat. Stopped here, glad we did lovely golden crisp chips and a freshly cooked piece of fish, nothing left to moan about lol

Ordered what me and the family wanted,confirmed it 3 times and somehow they still got it wrong yet it was my fault,the food we had wasn't great at all we had to order elsewhere for delivery as it was meant to be a nice break from the norm,will never go there again and I would suggest no one should unless you wish to have an argument with the person thats going to serve you your dinner

DO NOT GET CHINESE FOOD FROM HERE. This was the worst Chinese I have ever tasted. Spent £30 on a take away meal for the family and it was unedible we threw it all away. I am writing this review to warn others.

It was disgusting no wonder they only have 3 for food hygiene should have been a 0. Chips looked recooked and cooked in dirty oil. The fish was mostly bones and the sausages look like they had seen better days. First and last time getting anything from this place. It was so bad I wouldn't even give it to my dog. Over £10 it cost. It was only fit for the bin which is where I put it. Also when the man was cooking the frankfurter sausages to test the water he had them in he poked his finger in it. God knows the last time he washed his hands. 🤢🤮

The fish, sausage and chips we had to buy tasted nice, esp the batter around the fish. Ideally, we would have liked a burger, but they aren't on the menu. Took a few attempts at getting the order right and then had to repeat the order again to someone else. We had to wait a while too, usually there are plenty of sausages in the warming oven, and chips ready. It also seemed pricey. Sorry WF&C we would choose a different place next time.

4.5 is what i give them ONLY because they only take cash and nearest cash point is 5/10mins down the road

Being chinese myself I know when I've had a good one and this place is certainly one of the best takeaways I've had in a long time! The fish and chips is also always cooked to perfection!

Looking forward to rock and chips as rock is not on many chippy's menu's. Having had many rock meals in the past and knowing what it should look and taste like, if it hadn't been for the big centre bone I would not have said it was rock. What we had was dark brown thick batter and well overcooked fish. I gave a 2 rating for the chips In hindsight this chippy has done us a favour because of over development of our area more traffic lights have been installed to slow down the journey time so thanks Winnersh chippy.

If I could give 0 stars I would as this place has gone downhill. The portions are much smaller and prices are the same or more expensive. Very disappointing.

Wooow :-o I was disappointed. Can pay by card only if I spent at least £10. Seriously?! My fish cost £7 or so. I'm not going to buy drinks extra just to fit in £10. I did not had a cash obviously. If I did came back with cash my fish will be cold. Really shame :-/

It has gone downhill recently. We have used this place since I went to the Forest school. Very greasy fish and now they even forget some of the order. The one positive is the Chinese food is okay

Awful service and got my order wrong lady was so rude telling me to “hurry up and order” awful chips which was burnt and horrible Chinese. Do not recommend.

First time going to this shop. Egg fried rice was to salty. Chicken curry was tasteless. The staff cannot cope when it's busy. Very rude shouting at me asking if I'm going to order or not. They ended up missing food of my order in the end. Barely any menus to look at while trying to pick what food you want. Defiantly would not recommend. Customer service was awful. Never going back!

Every time I go into this shop (even when it is quiet) they get my order wrong! This time the same thing happened, I then got my order home and the chips looked and tasted like they had been cooked about 10 times, the fish was lovely but that is the only thing I would ever recommend from this place! When you phone to tell them that you are not happy, they don’t want to know! They even asked me for more money when THEY got my order wrong, they over charged me ( which I realised when I got home) and I personally think that they are way over priced for what they offer!

My daughter and I had a takeaway it was very nice but portions were quite small. Maybe check your order before you leave as ours was slightly different and had to go back.

Very well cooked British traditional Fish n Chips 🍟

We have used this take away for many years for both fish and chips and chinese. Always found chinese to be fine. Dont know whether they have new chef or new management, or what but we wont be using them again. We picked items from the menu we had liked previously only to find what we got was nothing like we had before. Absolutely awful, most went in the bin.

The taste is hit-and-miss! Today, I felt like chips which I bought there and had to bin because they were just about warm, but cooler on the outside when I got home (2 minutes car ride) . The chips tasted stale and as though they had been heated in a microwave which would explain why they had cooled down so quickly on the outside. This will be my last visit there. Very disappointing!

I don't use this place any more as the Chippy side is not great. I don't like their batter on the fish and it's always very greasy.Their Chinese food is OK but I go to a better place when I don't cook my own.So I don't hate the place it's just not for me. I would definitely use the chip shop if they sorted the problems out.

Ojalá este lugar era más coherente ya que es bastante local. No han sido por un tiempo ya que la comida es grasosa y, como otros han comentado, creo que fue debido al cambio de aceite poco frecuente. Dijo que el otro tarde paramos por una bolsa de patatas fritas, que estaban recién preparado y estaban bien.Nunca hemos tenido problemas con la comida.

This is a great little Fish & Chips and Chinese Take-Away. I can vouch for the Chinese which is as good as any I've had in London, and I've had a lot. I can't comment on the Fish & Chips because I'd be mad to pass up a Chinese Take-Away this delicious. OMG, I'm salivating at the thought of their Hot & Sour Soup and their very excellent Sweat & Sour Pork Balls.

This is very local to me and I have been a number of times. I am sure the Chinese food is better but the English is ok. If you want lots of chips it is ok but nothing special.

I am shocked by some of the reviews? Are the standards this poor? Nothing was even ready or cooked and this is at lunch hours, says its a Fish and Chip Shop. Nothing of the sort. Main issues, no deals, could barely make out the sign and no food cooked and prepared for lunch. Seemed to be annoyed when answering any questions on time to cook or whats available or the prices. The portions - small, over priced and quality was standard. So much needed to improve on. I come from the Midlands, Chippys are important and we have one on almost every corner. So disappointed! Should not class it self as a chippy, its more of a Chinese....May be a decent Chinese but its not a chippy!

Fuimos a conseguir un fish y chips para la familia. Sobre pedidos pide que tipo de pescado que quería (normal). Luego se presentó con 2 piezas de pescado congelado directamente desde el congelador. Si quería pescado congelado que podría haber hecho esto en casa. El punto de salir es llegar fresco. Fui a casa decepcionados por la grande al lado donde me Sainsburys 4.49 algunos pescado fresco

Had a Chinese takeaway and it was awful - threw nearly all of it away. Stodgy, grey prawn balls, dry pork, and sticky horrid rice. Will never go again. 😞

How can I put this...best place I have ever been its so great to go to a family run business and get freshly cooked food. Waiting time doesn't bother me of you call early enough and book that won't be a problem. Fish is fresh and succulent and the chips...I was in heaven. My family love it so much I always come here for our Friday night takeaway. Bangtidy
