The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Seafood food

Long time to wait for food due to there being one guy taking orders and one doing the food cooking and handing out the orders. Lots of people hanging around by the hatch making it difficult to get through when your number is called, they could do with asking people to stand and wait elsewhere. When our food did arrive one of the orders was wrong although I queried this immediately and was given an immediate cash refund. Chips were nice, not at all greasy although there were rather a lot for one portion with the fish! Perhaps a bit too much batter on the fish also.

Someone has made a good effort to bring this local boozer upto a reasonable standard but unfortunately it will inevitably struggle to attract new customers due to the loud mouthed regulars that hog the bar area and treat the place like an extension of their own home, letting the "delightful" offspring use it as a play pen! The default position for the vast majority of local pubs sadly and will ultimately be the downfall of this venue at it has been for so many like it. Shame really.

La porción más pequeña de pescado (bacalao de tamaño 'regular') que me han servido en una tienda de fish and chips, nada como las porciones que se muestran en la foto que encabeza este hilo de comentarios. Rebozado sin sabor. Me sentí estafado.

We came here on passing, we had limited time so we’re advised that the fish dishes would take least amount of time to cook, great food 😊

After all the hype I thought I’d try Umbertos. Ordered fish chips and gravy, and steak pudding chips and peas. Lovely old fashioned beef dripping chips, homemade gravy was ok but just tasted like regular chippy gravy. Steak pudding was enormous and hubby loved it. My fish was average sized and was ok. Overall pleasant and edible

Just very mediocre. Poor quality fish and soggy chips. Overcooked sausage. Was empty on a Saturday night which is an ominous sign. Looks like it's up for sale and they're not really trying.

Just ordered and ate my cod and chips x 2,food was hot chips were nice not greasy fish we had a piece in each box as requested and also a small bonus bit of fish which was without a doubt COD unfortunately the two other bits didn't appear or taste like cod,nice fish but not cod

Most delicious chips, fish cake and mushy peas I’ve had for some time. Piping hot, crispy, freshly cooked. Simple, basic premises but friendly service and most importantly top class chips and food.

Coffee was ok and nice to sit outside however I found the disabled toilet dirty could do with a deep clean and staff seemed over worked.

This has got to be the worst food I’ve ever had , how they had the cheek to charge for someone that was uneatable is unbelievable. Chips so greasy Pie had been reheated ( pastry rock hard ). Spring roll reheated ( outside was uneatable ). If I wasn’t 10 miles away they would of got it back , never again

Ordered a chicken kebab and haggis supper for delivery, it took around 1 1/2 hours to arrive and was cold when it arrived, the chips were stuck to the box in cold lard !! the only thing that was eaten was the chicken and only because we were starving, everything else went straight in the bin, never again !!!

Fui tarde y tuve un poco de rea. Encontré el lugar muy ruidoso. Había una mesa de unas 15 mujeres y era imposible llegar a ningún sitio es el espacio muy grande y no escucharlas. Una vez que se fueron, la música subió, y pedí que la bajaran. El espacio es muy grande y carece de ambiente y recibir mi factura tomó mucho tiempo, ya que parecía no haber sido ingresado en su sistema. Aunque potencialmente una hermosa vista las ventanas estaban sucias por lo que le restó placer. En general no volvería

Absolutely spot on just eat driver failed to arrive so the restaurant owner delivered my food himself. Great service great food will definitely come back again. Than you again it's hard for a truck driver to get food but you made it happen I'm 1 very happy man

Driven past this place many times, and with few traditional Fish & Chips takeaways in the local area thought I’d give this a try. Ordered 2x Fish and Chips for £12.90, which is reasonable value, nice and good portion of chips, however the fish was a very sad sight, small and paper thin with very little white meat on. Sorry to say I wouldn’t visit again, in my opinion customers would pay a little extra for a better piece of fish.

Food took about 20 minutes to cook. Fish was full of bones. Portion size was good but pricey. Overall I would not recommend.
