Cracking place, excellent food, attentive but not "in your face" service, don't forget to take cash...

Great pub, friendly staff, fantastic food.

I seldom leave reviews but the warren ticked every box. Great food, generous portions, welcoming attentive staff with a nice atmosphere and great interior design. I had the sirloin roast for my main which included fresh vegetables, a very generous portion of tender, perfectly cooked beef (with no gristly or fatty bits), crispy roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and a large Yorkshire pudding. I’ve eaten at many top restaurants across the world and this is on par, clearly a lot of thought and effort goes into this place. I look forward to trying the other enticing dishes on the menu. Thank you!

This is the second time we have been for the taster menu at the Grand. I love it there. Beautiful building, lovely staff, but I have to say the food was not as great as it was last year. The treacle tart was very dry, and the quail was very hard. Thought it was a bone. We had a lovely evening. The wines were amazing. But I don't think the food was worth the price. Next time I will have a look at the menu. Waiters made the evening

Love the pub, the staff are great and has a nice vibe. However I feel the opening times are inaccurate. We have arrived on several occasions when it has said 'open' online and it has been shut with no sign or reason on the door. We visited on a Saturday night around 9pm to see it was closed, very surprising!

5* lunch experience. Arrived in Deal, looked on Trip Advisor for somewhere nice to eat and found 81 Beach Street. Called to book for 20 minutes later. Lovely phone reception, warm welcome when arrived. Prompt, faultless, cheery service, attention to detail. Both had 3 courses, excellent. Mackerel pate, sea bass, cheese and biscuits and creme brûlée. Had coffees too which were also great. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend.

Really nicely interior designed big open air pub with huge bifold windows letting in lots of light onto a sunny terrace. Huge big grassy garden with picnic tables. Friendly and fast service, great tasty quality food and local wines. Beer selection was quite boring, almost entirely big corporate lagers etc because the one IPA was off. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Good WiFi.

Always great to visit. Fantastic location and extensive menu. Very good starters, scallops and salmon rillettes both tasty. Main fish dishes are excellent, we were too full to have dessert.

Visited on a Thursday evening and it was dead, only 6 people including us. Had some chicken kebabs and the chicken was nice but overall it was nothing special. It came with a tiny salad and a very small rice portion with the chicken having 5 cubes. Had a couple of soft drinks and came to £39.00 including a service charge! Went here 3 years ago and it was fantastic place, now I will not return as generally poor. No atmosphere, small portions and overpriced, far better restaurants nearby.

First time for Turkish Food -very disappointing! lamb shank very dry sat in half a litre of stock with 2 boiled potatoes and a small piece of carrot - didn't float my boat! !! nor did the £100 bill for 1 child and two adults??

FOOD POISONING!, went there for a celebration, i had two seafood dishes , following morning suffered from severe food poisoning causing huge embarrassment on a walking trip.. Gilbeys tell me there was nothing wrong with their food and were not the slightest bit sympathetic.. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Food was absolutely great, service 10/10 there is one young boy who was really friendly and respectful. We will come back

Brunch was perfect, the setting was festive and the service was attentive. We couldn’t fault the food! I’d recommend the Veggie Brunch. Thank you
