We decided to have a quick treat and were very happy with the service and especially the Chocolate Brownies prepared by the Pastry Chef, Sarah. I loved the rich chocolate delights. Definitely be back for more! Thank you Danka for the recommendation

Disappointing for a 4.4 Rating I relied on the positive reviews (4.4/5), but what a disappointment… Positives: The staff were very friendly and attentive, which is always appreciated. The fish and chips were good, but nothing extraordinary—and a bit overpriced. Negatives: Dishes were quite basic, not what you’d expect from a restaurant with such a high rating. Big issue with the kids’ meals: they were served extremely hot, likely microwaved given how scorching they were. Thankfully, the waiter warned us: "Careful, the plate is hot." But what a lack of common sense to serve food at this temperature to children! My daughter is only 2 years old—she doesn’t understand such warnings. In the end, she had to eat from our plates and left her meal untouched. Really disappointing. Conclusion: Friendly service, but underwhelming food and a real lack of thought in some areas. I honestly don’t understand the high rating… Worth trying if you’re in the area, but don’t expect an unforgettable experience.

Sadly this is the 3rd time I've tried to book a table using their telephone answering machine. When we have popped in there before we have been told it's best to book as there is never any seating available. But yet again they say they heard some of the messages and some of the phone number and even said they heard the time..... which they got wrong even though they knew who we were before we had even spoken to them when we arrived at the time we asked for. They had obviously got a party booked in as they could only serve coffee and cake! Why???? Surely if you know you have a party get more staff in so you can carry on as normal for the rest of the people. As no table had been saved for the time we had booked we ended up going just a bit further to sellingde which is only a very small coffee shop, but they were able to accommodate us without booking and we had a fantastic meal for half the price it is at Barbara-Anns!!! It's amazing how some people can help with a smile while others (the poor overworked staff at Barbara-Anns) are stressed harassed and and frankly frustrated with the way the place is run. Not their fault at all this is down to bad management!!!!

As a visitor to the area, this was my first visit to Drusilla's. What a wonderful experience it was too. Much more than a Zoo, but also a mini theme park as well. No big animals apart from a couple of Camels, so more of the ground dwelling rodent types & small monkeys. What I did like was the brilliant one way system they have in the zoo (follow the arrows) so you don't miss any of the animals, which is a common occurrence at other Zoos. After you've seen all the animals, you can take your little ones to all sorts of play areas, inside and out. We had a fantastic time & if I lived closer , I'd certainly buy an annual pass as it's great value for money.

I have been a regular at The Square for some time and have always felt that it was one of the best restaurants in Henley but I was disappointed by my visit yesterday. I went for lunch with my son and had the cod fish cakes as starter, sardines as main and the lemon pie as dessert. The fish cakes were crisp and hot but had very little flavour other than potato. The sardines have always been one of the highlights of the menu in the past but we were presented with a good number of very small fish which for some reason had been deheaded and which had very little flavour. They seemed to have been cooked in a different way than had been the case in the past where the fish were about 3 times the size of what we got and tasted just as though they had come off a barbecue. Perhaps the lack of flavour was because they were so small but they were a big let down. The lemon pie was OK. Service was efficient. I hope that this was a one off.

The Interior was very nice and good layout but the service was the worst I have had for a while. My partner and I went there for Valentines day on the Saturday, I had to call multiple times to check that they had taken our pre order down and each time we called they weren't sure or said no and then would call us later with a different answer. It was very unorganised. We waited 15 minutes for a drinks menu then we had to ask for one. Then waited 40 minutes for our drinks, that we had to ask to order. Our starters ended coming out before our drinks. I had to ask for my complimentary bread roll with my main as this never came. My partner asked for another drink and the waiter huffed at us and we asked if he was okay and he said 'its been a busy weekend'. I understand this but you don't huff at your customers. We felt like we where a problem to them and an inconvenience. Unfortunately we are local and would have gone again with family but we have been put off by this and wont return for the service but the food was very nice. Thank god for the food tasting good otherwise we would have walked out.

Visited for Sunday lunch, v friendly meet and greet, limited menu, we ate lamb and beef roast dinners, well presented, v tasty and large portions, served with good wine and Loweswater Gold beer. Another excellent lunch, many thanks, we will return.

Visited for Sunday lunch, family of 8 all of whom ordered something different so not particularly easy for chef given everything is cooked to order. Everyone enjoyed the experience, food excellent and passed around to try each others dishes. Because it's fresh cooked be prepared to wait a while but, having been a few times it's invariably worth it. Good quality, fair value and good service.

Cycled the Hayling Billy track and ended up here. Field Intelligence revealed ( I asked a couple of nice pensioners :) ) the excellent Mike's cafe. There is umbrella shaded bench seating in the front and a small enclosed rear patio. There are numerous secure cycle stands on the pavement. Coffee was good - nice touch with a little biscuit. Mrs P, who knows about such matters, informed me that the cheese scone was the best she had ever had. This cost me; as she then insisted on a Madri Spanish style beer - 'to wash it down'. Mike was a nice chap. Thank you.
