We went for the sloth close encounter experience, one of mine and my husbands bucket lists is to meet a sloth. It was such an amazing experience, Julie the keeper was very informative and very kind throughout the experience. This is my first time at this zoo but certainly won’t be my last, this zoo has won me over. Staff were all very friendly and smiling, zoo in general very tidy and easy to get around. Great for kids and adults.

Not worth the money at all. Many other parks half the price. Totally money driven. My opinion is that the staff are drilled not to try and help buy the best prices tickets and to try and get as much money as possible. I drove 39 mins with a family of seven there, Had an offer kept flashing up constantly, kids half price as out of season, got there, the guy on the door just said "it's an online offer online" so I then replied "no problem, I will pay online" and in response he said you can't buy the tickets on the day of arrival. So he wanted nearly 200 pounds to go in..late in the afternoon. Maybe an hour and half left before closing.

Visited here with my 19 month old grandson. We had a wonderful day out and really enjoyed. The animal enclosures are really good with glass windows down to floor level so the little ones can see. Lovely selection of animals and they all look very well kept. Good restaurant to have a meal in and a nice gift shop. Very impressed and will definitely be returning soon.

Really good day out for a family. Only criticism is that there is no family discount. You have to pay for everyone separately. For a family of 5 that's £175!

I think everyone decided to go as it was a 2 for 1 offer. It was ok for the £60 for the 4 of us. An affordable family rate would be a better way to encourage more families to visit throughout the year . Just a bit too busy that day. Loads to see, big play area and the rides are good for young children.

Great day out with my family yesterday. The zoo part is lovely with all animals looking well looked after and happy. My daughter loved all the interactive bits answering questions and doing challenges. Rides were nice and staff manning them were friendly and welcoming. The play areas and free arcade are fab. Cafe nice but quite limited choices and you had to wait for some things to be cooked but this could have been as we visited on a weekday in school time. Overall a nice day and value for money.

Be prepared to pay a little more for admission but once inside it's a great place. Other zoo's have larger animals that in my opinion make you miss the smaller ones. This zoo gives you a great opportunity to view the smaller animals over longer periods of time.

Really great day out, even in October (the weather was amazing actually!). A fantastic range of animals to see as well as play parks, rides and other entertainment mostly included in the ticket price. Worth the ticket price, but even more worth it probably if you get an annual membership! Some opportunities for 'up close and personal' with lemurs and lorikeets and they offer zoo keeper etc. experiences for those who want it (and have the cash!). Highly recommended!

Incredibly busy but not surprising with a very good offer in September. Just up the road from us and we visited without children to see what's new and of course the many animals. Entering the park later in the day saved us from queueing at the entrance, it always feels crowded in those immediate indoor areas but once outside there was plenty of space for everyone, Drusillas has kept plenty of the heritage interactive attractions that we have loved for years and brought in many new things and it is the perfect blend. We enjoyed 4 different rides and as the cycle length was short the queues didn't get too bad. Was good to try (badly) the shooting game and lots of modern coin operated attractions both games and rides were all free to play. Service in restaurants was a bit slow especially for coffee but the potato wedges were some of the best I've ever had. Very pleased to have such a good attraction literally on our doorstep and long may it prosper

This park is amazing - even on a day of torrential rain and wind, we were able to access every part of the zoo and saw all of the animals. You can see the inside of enclosures if the animals aren't wanting to be outside. We went on the Capybara and Beaver Close Encounter with our keeper Amber, who made the experience so special and informative. We felt safe every moment we were with her and would book again in a heartbeat. Well worth the 5 hour drive from the Midlands to see!

We were shown how food is prepared for the animals and then taken to the enclosure. They really do look after you and the animals at all times. We visited on Wednesday 28th August, during the summer holiday. This was our second visit there since our first 6 years ago. We visited with our 9 yr old and 6 yr old. The animals and zoo area are brilliant and the kids loved walking round them all. The rides are definitely for the younger kids(6 and under). The playground was fun,but we didn’t use the splash park as it was too hot and busy when we were there. Food options on site are the usual overpriced burgers, pizza, nuggets. Glad we took a packed lunch. We wouldn’t come back again as feel the kids are getting a bit too old for it, plus the distance and price for us is too much.

Had a great full day at drusillas on Thursday. I was very happy to see the animals didn't look stressed and their environments were very clean and lots of water provided for the hot weather. Although I'm sad that it's a bit of a bottle neck situation at the beginning of the zoo due to lots of people crammed inside the small area. But once you get pass the barn animals you get alot less people. I found the entire grounds of drusillas wheelchair accessible to me (in a powerchair) the disabled toilets by the amazon adventure cafe were very spacious with an ceiling hoist, adult changing table, adjustable hight sink as well as 2 separate red cords which were hanging freely! But unfortunately the disabled toilets in the men's by the hippo ride was very small and I could barely fit in there, as well as no red cord. I was able to enter every shop I wanted as there were ramps and adequate space to get around. Prices in Teddy's jungle safari (which you have to walk through) were surprisingly reasonable, brought two teddy's for £22!! The walk through lemur and lorikeets were all on flat ground too and was fine for me to go through in my wheelchair (as long as someone can help you with the doors and the plastic flaps) Will definitely be visiting again

We arrived at midday so there was no queue at all, by 4pm the park has quietened down (not that it ever felt too crowded or busy) and we took advice on the website to do the theme park first and then the zoo for the best experience and to avoid crowds which is what we did and it worked out perfectly. Waste of money! I took the little girl I nurse for (she's in a wheelchair with complex needs). I was beyond disappointed for the animals mainly. They charge each person, adult and child £40 entry and the animals have enclosures smaller than my small bathroom. The only animal I thought had a decent home was the mice and that's because of their size. Honestly.....when you're charging THAT much money for entry, in today's age.....I could have closed my eyes and been in a zoo in Asia.....it would have made sense. I'm embarrassed that this zoo was in the UK and that with the knowledge we have today, it should be better. Play stuff for kids is nice.....basically.....humans are the priority here, not animals. They should probably relocate the animals to a nicer place and just make it a much bigger play area for kids....it would be far better that way! I will never visit again or advise anyone else to. Drusillas....please help your animals!

Although have to say the Otter enclosure didn't look very enriching for them with just one small muddy pool. We live locally in Brighton (about a 20 minute drive) and this visit our first (and now will be last) visit. I pre-booked and paid for two tickets and then a carers ticket for me as my son has SEND needs and has been given a Compass Card from AMAZE who support disabled children on behalf of Brighton Council. They have also provided me with a Carers Card. Upon arrival at the counter I was told my sons Compass card and my Carers card were not sufficient proof for a carers entry. I spoke with a supervisor/manager who also said the same. I argued that these cards for my SEND child and myself were provided by Brighton council but was met with the answer of "How do we know the Carers card and SEND Compass card are connected?" - THIS IS APPALLING and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Have a child with a disability is difficult enough without then being questioned and frankly told that his disability isn't sufficient enough to warrant a free carers entry. SHAME ON YOU! This is a 1 start experience. Completely not how to treat customers. The park itself was good. We spent four hours there. My son enjoyed himself on the rides and the splash zone. Overall everything was slightly overpriced from the ticket price to the food. You could not pay me to go back and i'll be sharing this experience on all social platforms and review sites.

Was taken on a surprise birthday trip with friends with an animal encounter with the two Anteaters. Thoroughly enjoyed my day out, the animals were obviously well cared for and you could see active effort taken in improving enclosures which was lovely to see. There are parts of the park which seems dated but ultimately you get to laugh at and enjoy anyway (the singing chickens and Dracula was a highlight) Parts of the park seem quite cramped but weren't day ruining at all but something to consider if you enjoy larger spaces to walk around. The animal encounter was fantastic, the keeper was informative and I got to see behind the scenes and have a generally nice chat with a professional and safely feed and interact with the animals in a way that they obviously enjoyed. All staff (keepers, admin and hospitality) were helpful, informative and friendly. Down a star because a small handful of enclosures were not necessarily ideal space wise or design wise and at times the park is very loud with animatronics and other stuff. However, it is clear that enclosures are being updated in areas. The capybara enclosure was beautiful to see.

Food for children wasn't a great choice, but the animals etc were all enjoyed

We went here for the first time yesterday and even though it was the summer holidays it wasn’t busy at all! Our son was entitled to the ride access pass and this was given to us at the entrance. We didn’t ask for this and was given it automatically, we were so grateful as he really struggles with queuing due to a medical condition. Although, we didn’t use it once as there were hardly any queues anyway. The zoo is lovely and really well kept. Everywhere is clean and tidy and the staff were polite and helpful. We were very impressed with Drusillas and will definitely be returning.

Went here on a school trip for my son’s school. A lot to do here. Was good to see so many of the animals.

Lovely place to visit with small children. Wait times for rides were fantastic and the park area was amazing. Well thought out for a great day with little ones.

More than a zoo. The carers are happy to tell you something about their protégés. There are also rides and a huge playground here. We were here all day. If the weather is nice, don't forget your bathing suit.

We had a fablous time, it wasn't busy, but we were a little lucky. The food was super quick and good. Fantastic animals, some you can feed and walkthrough with them. There's also rides for younger children

Spectacular setting floor to ceiling windows overlooking acres of vineyardsJust outside the medieval charming town of Alfriston it is a long drive to Tasting Room - the kind of entry one is used to in the great vineyard restaurants of Adelaide Hills Margaret River in Australia and Franschoek and Stellenbosch in South AfricaWe did feel we were transported to these countries but such good news for UK as there is little in the way of this in Bordeaux To cap it off the food was eclectic and creative - the gazpacho was topped with iberico ham and floating chorizo croquettes - an acknowledgement to this real Spanish dish. The courgette floor as a main was interesting stuffed with buffalo cheese and other accompaniments such a violet artichoke. The three course menu at £37 good value As there are a limited number of tables it is necessary to book well in advance We will nee backThe chef gained Michelin star at his previous restaurant so he comes here with a reputationTo cap it off the sparkling wines are exceptional - elegant and lingering taste

WOW - we booked in for a meal, and was not expecting what we got. We ordered the "2 steaks and a bottle of wine for £35". It was the most delicious steak meal either of us has ever had - cooked perfectly, and the peppercorn sauce and extras on the plate absolutely delicious. We followed with a sticky toffee pudding - BEST EVER. So obviously home made. The service was excellent and friendly. We are so disappointed that we are only in the area for a week. Thank you White Hart - we haven't stopped raving about you since - much to the annoyance of our family and friends :). See you again.
