Seaside, seafront all day restaurant, its ace. Try it

This was one of our favorite beach restaurants. In spring and summer we went there to spend a nice day on the beach and then eat something good. It took us 2 hours to get there. I wanted to eat lobster (as always) but they weren't serving it yet. There were a lot of crab dishes but I'm not a fan of it so I ordered Fish and chips. And what a disappointment…. the fish was fresh but fried in old oil, it was brown and off-putting, the chips were cheap and of poor quality, the best part was a handful of lettuce with a very good dressing. I have the impression that the quality of this restaurant is declining rapidly, which is a pity! We will return there in the season to taste lobster and I hope it will good.

As a local HM Coastguard Rescue Officer, I always pop in on days off with family. Great food and friendly professional staff. I would totally recommend a breakfast lunch 😋

Firstly food is excellent, all the young girls on till were warm and friendly. Food came out promptly however there is one member of staff, older lady with long hair, who we’ve noticed before, she’s very abrupt and comes across quite rude. I understand they want to clear tables and tidy efficiently but literally as we were taking our last bite or sip of tea she was immediately there asking ‘finished??’ We felt rushed and a little uncomfortable.

Really nice place on the beach. Three of us had good coffee and cake today and I would defo go back for a proper lunch or dinner

The food was delicious, especially the crispy pork belly salad. The cod was skinned and the batter was crispy and not oily. The menu is varied so options for all tastes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will come back if ever in the area again.

Very good food , and staff are friendly and efficient. However , why do customers have to queue for ages when busy, to place an order. Why no waitress service ? It's 2024 ! Also it advertises as a seafood restaurant..why no oysters ??

Went in with my husband to get lunch and our table was taken by 2 other people. Instead of the staff asking the 2 people to move (like any good restaurant would do) they simply laughed and said “just ask if you can share the table”. I didn’t want to share a table with 2 strangers. I wanted to sit with my husband and have a meal. Absolutely terrible by the staff for letting this happen and just laughing at it.

It is now possible to book a table for a Friday or Saturday evening so we thought we would give it a try and we had a very enjoyable time. We were given a very warm welcome and the service was very welcoming, and friendly. There is plenty of choice from either the a la carte menu or daily specials, I struggled to decide what to have as there were so many delicious sounding choices. In the end I went for a crab linguine which was absolutely delicious. My partner had a very tasty tandoori salmon dish. It's a lovely place to visit, with beautiful views of the sea during the day and lighter evenings.

This place is the best thing about Bognor Regis. Great food, very friendly staff and nice seaside spot.

Its our second home since we moved here and never dissapoints.Have tried pretty much most things on the Menu and the Specials board never dissapoints either.The staff are all so nice and freindly and super attentive .Its not the cheapest place to eat but weve been elsewhere on lots of occasions and always come back here because its always so good .

Lovely cafe by the sea.Very relaxing atmosphere.Efficient,friendly staff. Popped in for a cup of tea but definitely will return for try their hime made food.

Had a great breakfast definitely going back

Decided to go for breakfast as we hadn’t been for while to the Lobster Pot and sadly won’t be going back. We didn’t really enjoy our breakfast it was ok but we said we have eaten better elsewhere. Something was definitely not right with my salmon after experiencing bad stomach and severe diarrhoea within a few hours. I called to report this and they assured me they date check and apologies but that was it. Makes you very wary so won’t returning.

Wonderful views and a menu with something for everyone. Friendly staff and quick service. Will definitely be returning soon!

This place is tucked away but on the sea front. The food is really good and always have a good choice of specials, for the evening menu. They also do an amazing breakfast.

We had lunch at Lobster Pot on. Freak warm, sunny February Sunday. The reviews suggest that the food is good but the service rude. We had to queue to order as orders are not taken at the table. The menu has a great selection and there were some tasty sounding specials. Food came in a reasonable time despite the restaurant being full inside and out. All food was freshly prepared, tasty and well presented. Service was all polite and friendly. Would have given 5* with full table service.

Great location with loads of potential - staff that we spoke with had no time to listen to my order or interact. Transactional atmosphere. Ice cream and coffee was very nice, would recommend.

Been a regular at this establishment for many years but recently the management couldn’t seem to careless !!!! The older member of staff is very unfriendly and has a attitude not suitable for front of house in the type of business she’s employed It’s such a same as the location and food are of a decent standard My personal opinion is go look elsewhere as there’s plenty of competition in the area

Absolutely rude management staff who are rude to customers and bullies to the younger staff. Disgusting. Owners really need to understand how there management are treating customers and staff totally unacceptable

We was greeted with a very warm welcome from the lovely staff and very much enjoyed the high standards of cleanliness inside. The layout inside was exceptional and the flow of customers worked exceptionally well, spacing between tables was well thought out and there was plenty of seating available both inside and out. There a was a level of calmness amongst the staff whilst still being attentive to every customer, clearing tables and the food was absolutely flying out. The pricing was very adequate when accounting for the location, fresh ingredients and exceptional service. An all round lovely experience that will draw us back whenever we are a stones throw away, my only negative would be that the prawns were not deveined, which I feel for the price and the standards set by the rest of the restaurant, would be in keeping with the overall quality. Staff members are nice, food presentation is good too, no complaints there, but beer-battered fish and chips and sea bass with chips had no flavour at all. Additionally beer-battered fish was very oily and so were the chips and for £16 one would expect the fish to be better than fish 'n chips from the corner chippy.

The Lobster Pot is possibly the best place in the UK for breakfast on the beach!! Situated in Felpham, Bognor Regis, this cafe/restaurant is sat over looking the sand and sea of Southern England. Alison and Jess are superstars at delivering a world class customer experience consistently on every visit! I run every Saturday along the beautiful coastline and sit in the lobster pot enjoying a hot vegan interpretation of a English breakfast. It has outdoor and indoor seating, and the outdoor seating area is heated year round (and it’s undercover). A definite must for anyone looking for a tranquil breakfast lunch experience!

Love this place, food is always good & even on a rainy day its great to be on the seafront as they have loads of indoor or undercover heated seating.

Do you not see a pattern Everyone saying the same thing ? Rude unprofessional staff. I witnessed this today the women with long her and grumpy awkward manner bullied an elderly couple as he was a bit slow . Unbelievable the owner of this place needs to have a good look at what he has employed. Common curticy cost nothing and kindness and patience with professionalism needed. So so disappointing. Train or replace your staff. I have additional contacted the local authority to report her actions as it’s not the first time I have witnessed her bullying. Additionally the other members of staff are aware of her bullying.

A truly fantastic cafe / restaurant. Went for breakfast whilst at Butlins for a winter weekend. There was a big queue when we arrived, but we'd placed our orders very quickly. Despite the place being very busy, we got our food in no time. The chain cafes and restaurants could learn a thing or 2 from this place, especially in terms of organisation and prompt friendly service. This place is an absolute treasure!

Unfortunately went on a saturday but it was January and they were doing a roaring trade. Dog friendly, which we like as sadly we dont have one and like to see other people's. Space inside and out. Very small toilets but these and the whole place were spotless. Quite compact so not great for disabled persons, and as advised loos very small.

Had a variety of dishes all of which have been decent and tasty. Comprehensive menu, including lots of specials, and although not cheap, definitely feels like fair value. You dont really get waited on as such as have to walk up to order food & drink but is a decent spot with a view of sea.

Great little spot on the beach. Due to it being the christmas holidays they were very busy as to be expected. But service was swift and the team very accomodating and friendly. We were catching up with friends and visiting the area, we had all sorted from the menu including coffees and icecreams and it was delicious. Very cosy and warming! Will be back in the summer!

Fantastic seafood pasta, served with a lovely side of greens, will delight your taste buds! Fish and chips with proper chips, crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Perfect for an outdoor seaside lunch on a sunny day, although they do have tables inside or on their covered patio sheltered from the wind. Sometimes tricky to find parking close by, so oftentimes we walk over. The food is worth it! Order inside and they deliver to your table. They also have fantastic ice cream if you are on a seaside walk along the promenade.

I used to live in Felpham and going for a bite at the Lobdter Pot was always a very special highlight of my day. Quality of food is stunning as well as the rich and diverse variety you can choose from. Staff are very friendly and it adds personality to the restaurant. 100% recommend The Lobster Pot 😊

It is a really known place in Bognor Regis, a fantastic place to go at any time of the year. Even now, in winter, the place is cosy and warm. The food is delicious,and dessert is great. Great place to go on any occasion.

A family friendly, well organised and well maintained restaurant. With the highlights of food, service and atmosphere. The sea side, just across the street, is a magic touch in England. The food and hot drinks are a must try feature as well. If only there were a few lobster dishes.....

Food can be great if you can get past the very poor front of counter customer service. I have been a regular over many years, good chef and kitchen/waiting team, but I returned recently after a long time not going and had really bad experience. Woman on till, apparently the manager, made me feel extremely uncomfortable on serving us, as if she didn't want us there, then we waited so long for food(quick sandwich light lunch order) that we ran out if time to eat and had to cancel and leave refunded. So we ended up not eating anything and leaving with our money back. It would've been £25 for a lunch snack we would have rushed. We couldn't justify that. All very peculiar, I'm a familiar face there but was so snubbed. Imfact we took it quite personally and on principle had to get out. Its a real pity because the menu and variety and quality from the kitchen team is so good. I would not want to return and have to face the counter woman again. And I was warned beforehand that the management had changed and the service had dropped, so that was proved to be very accurate feedback. Perhaps a Customer Service course is required by the head of the team. Feedback is so important for the people behind the scene as well.

Bloody lovely! A visit whilst collecting my oldest from uni. They had discovered The Lobster Pot on an exploratory stroll along the beach. The food was fabulous and generous. The service quick and efficient. The atmosphere congenital and welcoming. I will try the liver and bacon next time....was recommended by the gentleman on the next table, who was enjoying it immensely. Thank you.

Really like this place 😊 absolutely love the location on the beach, allows dogs which is great! (got told off for letting the dog sit on my lap outside though lol). They serve really nice ice creams, coffees and lunch options - little bit pricey but worth it I think! Halloumi sandwich in particular is delish!! The only problem I have ever encountered at The Lobster Pot is the staff being very very rude & not talking very nicely to my family and I. I have witnessed a lot of times when they are so rude to other customers - one time two people actually left because of it!! I was pretty shocked! Theres a few particular staff that talk to you as if you’re stupid or an inconvenience, very passive aggressive.. I’ve heard other customers mention it in the queue as well so it is clearly well known that some staff aren’t nice to their customers. Not a very good reputation to have really :( I wouldn’t normally comment on this however the last 5+ times I have been they have been like this every time!! There are a couple of younger women that work there that are polite though! It’s a shame because it ruins the experience, it could be a 10/10 cafe if this changed because I love everything else - especially sitting outside with the view! I think certain staff just need to be a lot friendlier to their customers as this would make people more likely to continue attending & feel welcome 😊

Great cafe, great food, great coffee, absolutely packed so the atmosphere was great and inspite of being told the wait time would be 45 mins in reality it was half that, the negative reviews for this lovely little gaff seem to come from the usual whinging foreigner.

The Lobster Pot Cafe offers a dining experience like no other. The on-beach seating provides a picturesque backdrop for a memorable meal. The food is nothing short of exceptional; every dish is prepared with care and bursting with flavor. But what truly sets this place apart is their ice cream selection. From classic flavors to inventive creations, the variety is impressive and each scoop is a taste of perfection.

Lunch. What a find this restaurant is. We were staying at a hotel practically next door and came across it as we were walking our dogs. It's located right on the seafront promenade Felpham. One look at the specials board, we could tell this was going to be good. As we'd had eaten earlier, we tried a couple of their sandwiches. Prawn & Crayfish cocktail. Gourmet fish finger. Both were packed with filling and absolutely delicious. It was so good we had to return the next day to try something else. This time we chose one of the specials. Which was the local lobster brioche roll. With lemon & pepper mayo,tomato + watercress. Served with seasoned fries and slaw. At £18.95 it's not cheap, but it's so worth it. Everything is cooked fresh to order, and looking at other dishes coming out of the kitchen, we had serious food envy. Staff are very cheerful and a bonus for us, it's very dog friendly. We shall have to return to try some of the delicious looking food from the Specials board.

Excellent, straightforward food. I had the "Brunch Grill" with eggs, bacon and sausage all x 2 plus black pudding tomatoes, mushrooms and chips. Cooked to perfection and served in a timely and pleasant fashion. Lovely views out to sea, with a variety of tables locations from al fresco to indoor. This was my first visit - I look forward to returning.

This was a great find to walk in for an early dinner (service runs from 5 til 7) and we were glad that we waited until they finished writing up the specials before ordering. The hake was great tho the Torbay sole needed a little bit more finesse in the cooking to reach 5 stars. Save room for dessert too! Much more than a beach cafe, will definitely go back

I was very disappointed with The Lobster Pot and I won't be going back again. The woman behind the till was exceptionally rude and unwelcoming and the rest of the staff are not much better. The cod was very small for the price and the chips were cold. Overpriced mediocre food and terrible service.

Oh my goodness... we weren't expecting to find such a gem literally right on the beach front.. the food was phenomenal. I had the seafood box and hubby had the seafood with saffron rice. They were both made with care and such amazing detail from how it looked on the plate to the balance in flavours. Every single ingredient was fresh and distinctive in flavour. We will definitely be back. I have to give it 5*😁

The Lobster Pot is in the perfect location for a promenade stop off. They are one of the first open for breakfast and an excellent breakfast it is. Service is swift, happy and professional, you could not wish for more. I couldn't recommend a better place for an early morning stop.

5 stars all round ! The Lobster Pot always comes up trumps & beats every other eatery for the best Fish & Chips ! Love sitting outside enjoying the view on a sunny afternoon.

First time eating here with my daughter and her partner. We chose a table near the front of the inside and we were approached by possibly the rudest woman I have ever encountered in customer service and asked to move despite the fact the place was not even remotely full. There are ways of approaching and asking customers to do these things but this woman clearly has no idea how to talk to customers. She disappeared after that. Very strange. No table service even though there were a lot of staff. The food was nice but overpriced for what you get. We were going to order dessert but the rude, disappearing woman ruined our experience and frankly we couldn’t wait to leave. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful setting and we would have loved to think about going back but we won’t because of someone who quite frankly shouldn’t be in public service.

Brilliant cafe/restaurant with great food and friendly staff. It gets very busy on nice weather days so be prepared to wait a bit for your food. But it's all delicious.

Took my mum & step dad here today for late lunch. We arrived at 2.15pm so therefore missed the "breakfast" options which finish at 2pm. My mum has a blue badge so she parked on what was the only space left in the road directly leading up to the Lobster Pot, otherwise I'm unsure where we would've parked as it's residents driveways & yellow lines or a walk from wherever you may find a space around Felpham I suppose. The temperature today was nudging 30° so it was pretty busy. There's seating either inside or under a wooden canopy or tables with some sunshades outside. We opted for indoors under the ceiling fan as my step dad was already hot. Once you choose your food & drinks you go up to order & pay at till. You get a lighthouse with a number on so servers know what food goes to whom. You get your drinks immediately to take as you pay. Despite the sign saying it was a 30 mins wait for food, we only waited 20 mins. Mum had coronation chicken ciabatta with chips, step dad had full English including black pudding & I had a seafood salad (with prawns, salmon & crayfish). All portions were a good size & absolutely delicious. Then we had latte X 3 & a cherry Bakewell muffin for step dad while mum & I had ice cream. Again all was delicious & again you order, pay, take hot drinks & cake yourself to your table then return to ice cream bit & get your chosen ice cream (caramel fudge & white choc with honeycomb 😋). Our 3 mains plus 2 juices & 1 lager was £55 & pence, so it's a tad expensive but I'm no Scrouge so I was happy to pay. I think they're open till 7pm apparently serving cocktails & evening menu from 5pm if I recall seeing on the board. We will return another time to sample both breakfast & evening meal, obviously on separate days! Have lived in Chichester 14 years & always been too busy to go, I now have the time to sample these things. Nice place, nice food. Only one gripe, the table step dad picked was indoors, under the ceiling fan & close to the till. It only affected me, but I had the queue of people wanting to order & pay basically right by my left arm, & a lot of people weren't courteous enough to acknowledge I didn't want their backsides near my food 🙄. There is space enough to be slightly away from where I was sat whilst people wait to order, so this isn't the Lobster Pots fault, just humans with no sense! On future visits we'll sit elsewhere, or leave step dad behind!!!! 😂

We came here on our last night at butlins and absolutely LOVED it! Cheesy chips for the fussy one... kids fish n chips was DELICIOUS! Best goats cheese salad ever and an absolutely beautiful half lobster! Beautiful setting and lovely service. Couldn't recommend it more!
