Lovely traditional little pub. We visited at christmas it was lovely. The staff - Sam and Luca, were brilliant, attentive and friendly they went above and beyond with their service - keep hold of them!

Second time trying this place and What is this meat great big chunks, I think it’s all off cuts burnt and all the meat that drops to the bottom absolutely appalled by this worst kebab ever! Looks like dog food

Spent near £50 for the wrong food to turn up and small sizes aswell as cold would use another takeaway

This place is a bit pricey and the food was just so-so. I wouldn't bother going there unless you're staying in the hotel. As a bar, it's expensive but nice (amazing location). But when we came back later for dinner the £30 steak, which I had ordered medium rare was medium well, and the veg with the fish was very very salty. The chicken parmgiana was served with spaghetti that seemed to have come from a tin, both in terms of the texture and the sauce. But it did the job. The staff are friendly, if not particularly quick with anything.

Had a small issue tonight with my order which was quickly sorted. Fresh hot pizza arrived to make up for the error (which I've never had at Moorlands before) if you want a nice pizza with a spicy kick the Asian Flame is the one for you. Will definitely be ordering again!!

Lunchtime concerts are excellent and varied music. And the food is excellent also

Came for lunch here and it was very nice and the bar staff were very accommodating. The meal was very nice here. Definitely a visit while coming into or going through Wadhurst. We were seen to quickly and food came out in a timely manner. Could see this being a busy place on an evening.

My family, friends, and I were celebrating here on Sunday, 4th May, and had a fantastic experience. The service was super, the food was delicious, and I can not recommend this place enough. Mark, the very nice, polite and fun gentleman who looked after us, took great care of our large party size. He made personal recommendations for drinks, respected our requirements for the kids dessert orders. My mum and I had the fish and chips which were excellent. Great location, easy to get to. Nicely decorated. Would return to the island and absolutely go here again.

Solía frecuentar este lugar, y en el pasado lo he recomendado, pero ya no. Ahora hemos tenido dos comidas aquí donde la comida era realmente insípida, además de cara, y la de anoche era francamente pobre. La ensalada de pollo consistía en 3 nuggets de pollo en una pila de hojas de lechuga aderezadas con un aderezo de suero de leche suave. Mi hija todavía tenía hambre, por lo que pidió la banana split, que no se dio ninguna descripción en el menú, pero se sirvió como un plátano frito en masa con crema. Fue vil. Nuestro servidor preguntó cómo estaba el postre, pero antes de que tuvimos tiempo de responder, ella hizo otra pregunta!

I ordered home and got pancakes for free. I found hair in the food, junk it and then found again hair in pancakes. This is a bad joke.. I did not ask for refund but I couldn’t eat anything, this is ridiculous, do not order!!!

Food was ok, there isn’t an option the add sauce or salad in the wrap and then they put mayo and chilli sauce as well as salad. So couldn’t eat it as not a chilli sauce or salad person.

After being our go-to restaurant for family get-togethers for about 25 yrs, we are sorry that Alphonso is retiring and moving back to Puglia. We will miss you. On Sunday lunchtime the restaurant was packed with friends and family to say goodbye to a well-loved institution. We hope that the new owners will continue your tradition for high quality and good value when they open in November.
