Favourite Grill in Tendring

Got a doner, and lovely pieces of skewer 🍢 grilled chicken 🐔, mixed kebab,with bbq and garlic sauce, and the chef was very friendly and professional, would recommend to anyone, open till 11,also a good thing,

Absolutely awful. Spent 27 pounds on food for three of us. Was sent a small box of meat and some chips. No pitta and half the size it should have been. When my husband rang to speak to them they were rude and antagonizing on the phone and wanted us to go into the shop despite us having it delivered which were unable to do. Shocking service and what did come was burnt. Will not be ordering from them again.

Got a Delivery of a chicken shish, lamb doner roll chips and drink came to £36 which is ridiculous, as you can see in photo chicken wrap was so small wasn’t very nice was abit dry, came with no salad either, feel like prices have gone up so much compared to what they was £10.90 for a wrap of that size is so bad

Went here a few times whilst on holiday. Food was nice and reasonably priced. Portions were great. Customer service could be better a smile wouldn't go amiss

Well went here tonight got a special shish and was it special nope the lamb was mutton it was tough as old boots and not chargrilled more like burnt and bland the salad which I normally love was just nasty iceberg and half a onion which I did ask for none on both my daughters lamb donner was no different apart from the dry arse rubbery grizzly meat this place use to be good but not now I'd never go there again definitely not worth 20 pound 30 at all what a let down

You live and learn.... not to eat here again. Worst kebab I've had in clacton. Meat tasted off, heavy with the pepper to try to mask the taste. Went into the bin. Wasn't cheap either.

Been going here for the last 3 months every weekend, and food was good, but Friday the chips tasted awful and looked like they were cooked twice, I decided to go tonight to get a chicken kebab and the chicken was awful, it was burnt and tasted strange, almost like it was bad, I’ll never go back

I can quite honestly say that was the worst takeaway food we have ever had we were told it would be ready to collect in 20 mins not the case 45 mins later got it home just 2 mins away by car to find food was cold plus the wedges had obviously been cooked more than once . Phoned to complain and they didn’t want to know WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally good , better when it's not overun with customers - much the same as anywhere! I order quite regularly if that's any thing to go by 👍

I was let down by another kebab shop this evening so I decided to ring favourite grill ordered my food by the time I arrived at the shop my food was ready, I ordered the Adana chips and pot of chilli sauce , the food was amazing best I’ve ever tasted thank you so much favourite grill xx

Have used this shop for over 4 years, and food & service has always been good. Ordered two chicken kebabs tonight, both with salad and one with sauce, given collection number 12. Wife collected and returned home. On opening containers, discovered no salad, and only 5 small pieces of chicken in each pitta bread. As prices have recently been increased from £5-40 to £5-90 for each, not impressed. Went back to shop to complain, and told when wife went into shop, she said "Sauce on one and no salad on either". RUBBISH, the order was placed by phone, not in the shop. They shoveled some salad in, grunted a minor apology and said goodnight. When I explained that the chicken was now cold, as we will have made three driven journeys to and from the shop, they said drive faster. Longtime customers now lost. Good luck with your customer service skills.

Had nice flavours but my chicken shush kebab was burnt on the edges and it was a little tough . My partners chicken dinner wrap was nice .

This must be the worst chicken shish I have have ever had!No pickles hardly any tomato or cue just lots of onions & a small amount of lettuce.Awful sauce & a small amount of chicken.Hence the £5.90 price.Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Went on Friday at 6.30 and ordered a large doner kebab with salad and mild chilli sauce. What I got was tasteless dry meat that I didn't have to cut as I could snap it, for some reason I couldn't cut the pitta bread as it was so tough and to make matters worse they put mayo on instead of chilli but the salad was nice. For the first time ever most of this meal went into the bin and I have to admit that I have had better kebabs from the local fish and chip shops.

Slow and staff not very sociable

Doner kebab meat was overcooked, dry and cold, pitta was stale and hard as cardboard,couldn't even prize it open to put the meat in! Will never buy from them again

The kebab is lovely from here , best I’ve found in the area . The only let down is the chips , they are no good , so we get our chips from the fish and chip shop across the road . Will definitely get take away again !

Looks like it needs a health and safety check URGENT... guys dont wash their hands or clean the cloths they use to wipe all the sides then wipe the fat off the kebab cutting knife. Need some dettol wipes and a good bleach down.

I've used this place for years but recently found that the meat in the lamb shish is tough and chewy and the chicken shish dry and overcooked. To cap it all when I got home neither of the two kebabs I bought had any salad. It's definitely going downhill.

Me and my family got a kebab from here last night, we all got a chicken doner and when we got it home to eat,it looked very dry like it was cooked hours before hand. We had to throw all three kebabs out as they were disgusting, we tried to call the shop and got no answer and it’s too far to travel back out so we will be trying to call again. All night all three of us have been in excruciating pain in our stomach and my dad has been sick multiple times. Eat here if you fancy a few days off work with food poisoning

I had not been to Favourite Grill in a while before recently, but they still have the best Pizza that I have ever tasted. As a kid I could not wait for my Dad to pick up the Hawaiian. During the time that I had not been in Clacton a Domino's and a Chicken Shop (that also sells Pizza) had opened near. However Favourite Grill will always be the number one place regardless.

Ignored after I finally made my choice. They helped new people walking in serving them straight away despite being at the counter. Staff cleaning or cooking and even just leaning against the wall on their phones. Walked out and went to the superior Rose Kebabs in Kirby.

Has always been the best place for a kebab but tonight there was poor quality meat, tough and grisly in the doner kebab. Have used this place for many years also considered this the best kebab house in Clacton but not sure if it has changed hands or staff. Will not be using again.

Been using this takeaway for years but the last few months have been very disappointed, portions have shrunk tough meat price risen.i normally order over the phone and collect, and spend around £40.00 not any more going to find somewhere different. Don't mind what I pay as long as I get decent food.

Myself and my girlfriend got given the wrong order. When we challenged the people who work there on that order they called us liars and stupid and then joked about this with other customers. Completely disgraceful.

When we got there, the person who works there looked at the old order and said it was correct. We continued to challenge them on the wrong order saying it isn’t what we order either asking for a new meal or our money back and they refused every time. They then called us liars and stupid and then joked about this with the other customers. When we tried to talk to them further they ignored us. We know what we ordered and it was wrong. Never going back there again, completely disgraceful, and feeling embarrassed.

Absolutely a joke 3 pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of lamb is a large shish lol ring them and you get told the next one is on the house it's fine keep the kebab was not good at all.do not recommended what so ever

Never go nowhere else for a kabab , so clean and the guys are always very welcoming, pizzas are good to, even when we cook at home we always pop down there to grab the fries to go with our dinner, maybe a little waiting time but you can see them cooking it when you order so that's not a bad thing , try it out

Quick service the burgers are scrumptious kebabs and all the food is so nice best in town, very clean staff friendly, only downside is they don't deliver.but worth picking up

He sido un cliente a este lugar durante años, hay un montón de tiendas de kebabs en Clacton, pero esta es la única que se ve! El personal es muy amable y el lugar está muy bien dirigido y eficiente, siempre revisa tu orden y nunca olvidar nada como la mayoría de comida para llevar no! Tienen una calificación de 5 estrellas comida estándares de la agencia, el lugar es muy limpio y ordenado.

Fui allí con mi hijo ya que llegó tarde y no quieres ir a la ciudad. Ambos tuvimos kebabs que contienen un montón de carne y ensalada. Mi hijo dijo que casi ordenados de una grande y me alegro de que no lo hicieron. No pude terminar la mía pero el perro disfrutamos de la carne 1. Sabrosa comida si quieres algo rápido. Sin duda volveremos.

Rude staff!! Not just myself, I witnessed them talking rudely to all customers who were in the shop at the same time as me, then appeared to mock customers in their own language amongst each other! Definitely won't be returning, would rather spend my money elsewhere!!

I called ahead to order which was pointless as they don't start till you get there, i then waited 30 minutes for my food thats 45 minutes wait 6 members of staff empty shop.. I then said that this was not right the manager replied we burned your first pizza s@&t; happens, i heard the manager prior to my complaint on the phone apologising for messing up an order, this take away used to be great now its overly salted kebabs with rubbish customer service.. I nor my family or friends will be going back to this place.. Try dillons or buffalo kebab shops this one will leave you very disappointed

I have been going here for quite a while now. The service in there is great, the staff are very friendly. The place is clean and the food is great. I do wish they did delivery though! But that's just me being lazy, it's worth going to get.

I visit here a lot. The staff are nice, the place is spotlessly clean and more importantly the kebabs are superb!

This venue is clean efficient and although situated in a less than salubrious area it provides some great fast food and all prepared fresh and hygienically. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Favourite Grill is my Favourite takeaway. In fact it is now my only takeaway.The chicken Kebabs are delicious and being Greek I know a good kebab. Portions are generous and it always looks spotlessly clean inside. We had friends come and stay and said it was far better than their Kebab shop back home.

The staff that work behind the counter are probably what sells it to me most! I usually have a donner kebab with salad and chips. Not disappointed.

Good tasty Lamb special shish kebab with lean cubes of lamb, fresh vegetable and salad. Phoned order in and was ready for collection in twenty minutes.

I am very picky with kebabs and they do it just right. Very nice chips too! I have gone here for the last 5 years or so.

We tried this for the first time, and will go back again. Two chicken kebabs were excellent. Even though we phoned our order on a Friday evening, we still had to wait in the shop a little while as it was so busy. Must be an indication of its popularity.
