Quality Diner in Tendring

Kebab was missing any salad and sauce after asking for it and the meat was so undercooked after trying a bite or two I binned it. Shocking and they couldn't care less

I ordered my food and waited the expected time (45 mins) i called up over an hour later to ask where my food was/what time it was arriving i got told its on the next delivery out and it took an extra 45 minutes on top of that !! my food was cold and i am very disappointed !!

Don’t even deserve the 1 star Google forces you to put! After coming here for 5 years we was treated terribly on Sunday. We walked into the shop, ordered 3 kebabs and took them home. When we got home one was missing. I called the restaurant to tell them and ask for the missing food to be delivered. They asked for my address and as soon as I said CO7 they didn’t even let me finish the postcode and abruptly said sorry we can’t deliver there, our drivers won’t go that far. We are 15 mins drive from the shop in great bentley. We went all the way there to collect the food and they wasn’t prepared to come to use for their mistake. They said they would charge me £12 for delivery! They even said if they had delivered it in the first place they would have brought it back but because we walked in they won’t come out to us. RIDICULOUS! I said it wasn’t good enough and wanted a full refund and they said no we will only refund us for the missing food £7. When they tried to process the refund twice it wasn’t working. They asked for our bank details to do a bank transfer. I refused to give them, as it’s illegal. They must refund back to the customers original payment method. Then they put the phone down on me! They got a delivery driver on the phone who was very rude! I have never experienced such terrible customer service. I would not recommend this place. They didn’t enjoy the 2 kebabs we did receive either!

Absolutely disgusting literally just ordered a pizza through their website unaware it comes with toppings as unstated when it asked if I wanted peppers ect I said no same with the sauce and the picture does not show toppings on it I call to talk to them and the guy basically said it all comes like that well I wasn’t aware he stayed quiet so I said so I guess I have to pick it all off then he said yeah have fun with that and hung up on me how disgusting is this service I’m so unsatisfied will never use them again and these are normally my regular spot !

this is delivery only. for the second time in a week I have waited over an hour for my food. When arrived was cold and had to be reheated. Always thought this was a great kebab shop, not any more, will go elsewhere in future

Asked for delivery to frinton Was demanded by their driver £8 This is not the first time I've been charged this Lol do they even have food carrier insurance as by looking at the vehicle I'd be surprised it had an mot Next time I think I'll ask for it As a courier driver I pay full insurance costing in excess of 2500 per year So why should the public be ripped as even their flyer says more than 4 miles minimum spend is 20 plus an additional pound So where does the 8 come from Will not use again Buyer beware

Young man that answers the phone is incredibly rude and declines orders on the menu because I’m assuming he doesn’t know the menu very well. Portion sizes change and it’s quite the difference. Had many many bad experience with these guys but last night was the worst. Food poisoning for everyone who ate. Portion sizes tiny always incredibly late with delivery and will try to make you to be blame! Avoid at all costs save yourself your valuable cash, and time by just simply going to any one else who can serve the same stuff minus the great amount of problems listed above.

SO GONE DOWNHILL Not sure what’s happened, been using this takeaway for so many years but the customer service and food are now awful. Even have to pay a £3 delivery charge for a 5 minute journey from there to my home. The portions are ridiculous, mind you probably a blessing due to the quality of it, didn’t take too much room up in my bin. Will not be ordering from here again

As again even offered to pay for sauce on the meat and chips and decided to give me pitta bread with chips on the side and two garlic sauce which I asked for a burger absolutely ruined my night, will continue to review this store until it just goes as I asked

My pizza is like a floppy disk, I like the chips but I don't like a pc part as a pizza. Definitely not quality more like drunkie 3am standards.

Looked at the menu before going in for a takeaway when I ordered what we wanted it came to alot more money than what it should have been according to the menu they got really nasty and I felt really intimidated so payed the money never again will I set foot on that place

Was the only option we had whilst staying in a caravan in off season. The wraps were lovely and so was the burgers but the pizza was so low quality and frozen it was almost funny. If you avoid the pizza then this place is great.

3 star hygiene 🤢 Never get the order correct. Stingy on the salad & sauce by giving you both in small pre-made pots which also makes extra plastic waste. The lad that took the order spoke perfect English as well as whatever backward nonsense the other idiots speak & the order was still wrong. They didn’t deserve the second chance, NEVER AGAIN!

Absolutely disgusting customer service ordered 3 things and they missed an item off called back to get a replacement and the response was vile the person acted very aggressive and decided to hang up on me no replacement given I will not be returning and I would advise everyone to find somewhere else better service is easily found nearby. Woeful experience.

Ordered food but the they gave wrong order, so they came back and collected the food and gave us the correct order. However there was no sauce or salad. Then they had to go back and get the sauce and salad increasing the overall delivery time.

The actual kebabs are spot on.you can't fault them. As for the chips,they are re cooked so many times they are rock hard and usually cold. I won't be using qaulity diner no more

Unfortunately the taste of the food isn't the same as it was with previous owners. However the quality of the food appears to be okay. Polite and friendly staff on my last visit though (14/10/23) The premises appeared to be clean and tidy. Reasonably priced food and drink here.

Chips were hard. Bacon under cooked in cheese burger. Worst I've had from Quality Diner. Always had food delivered from here but not anymore.

Went here for a kebab and drink had a mix kebabs with salad taste fresh and the kebab was seasoned well loved the taste

£6.50 for a halloumi wrap - 3 small bits of halloumi and no salad. Shocking.

I liked this place before but definitely gone down hill. I've had to take my chicken donner back twice over the last few months because of NIGHT BEFORE OLD GRIZLE MEAT. I've gone there and ordered tonight and yet again... got old burnt chicken meat. So disappointed. Prices gone up but QUALITY gone down.

Food tastes amazing, and the price and portions are the best. But I would only ever go in and order. I used to get it delivered, and 90% of the time, the order would be missing something/ be wrong/ turn up cold or 2 hours later than expected. But going in is a completely different experience. Great staff, and you get to make sure you're getting what you've ordered. Parking is an issue. But worth parking where you can and walking to it. Best in clacton/Holland-on-sea by far (I've tried them all multiple times)

I’ve never had to leave a review in my life as I think they’re pointless however I feel I need to let people know. The pizza we ordered was barely cooked we had to re cook in our oven, and the taste was doughy! Icelands frozen pizza would have been cheaper and a lot better.

Ithe food they surve is amazing and the service is great, the staff are polite and professional and the delivery people where also kind and pollite, 100% recconendation

This is not something you could give a customer to eat, I also work at the kebab shop, but we throw this dry and burnt meat in the trash, we don't offer it to customers. I do not recommend!

Ordered a kebab wrap last night, asked for garlic mayo didn’t get any, kebab meat was too thick and didn’t even taste like meat, if someone told me I was eating a horse I wouldn’t of doubted them, the quality of the meat overall was speaking with large bits of gristle sitting all through it and swimming in grease, will never be eating from here again Would jot recommend to ANYONE

Order from Quality diner they made a mistake gave us the wrong order rang up and said they said they’d collect the wrong order and swap it for the right one tho to be honest they should’ve let us have it as they made a mistake the driver didn’t come to our door twice that isn’t the point of a delivery lady on the phone very rude customer service rubbish and wouldn’t recommend getting anything from there won’t be getting again

I love this place the pizzas are incredible and the guys who work there are funny and polite and I will never go anywhere else for a pizza they taste incredible and I would recommend the pollo del bbq

I rang up to place an order, and three days later at 11pm, a woman rang me up demanding payment, even though I received an email saying my order was paid for online on their APP. She carried on arguing as I refused to pay again. Now my account has been suspended. GREAT I WON'T USE YOU NO MORE.

This used to be my go to takeaway and I’d recommend it to everyone but the issues started nearly 6 months ago with a website bug (which STILL isn’t fixed) Tonight has been a final straw, told 45 minutes on the phone. Ordered at 19:20 chased at 20:39 and was told it’s on its way now, women rolls up to the door at 21:04 which means it somehow took 25 minutes to do a less than 10minute journey. Rejected what certainly would’ve been cold food on door as I thankfully hadn’t paid for it and cooked for myself. Just don’t bother and avoid. There’s nothing quality about quality diner anymore….

I have always used you but sadly I won't be using you again because this service is appalling. The food has arrived chips like warm and chicken shish. My chicken wrap is cold. Disgraceful

I ordered a chicken kebab, donor kebab and large chips. Chicken kebab & 2 large chips arrived. I rang to tell them, man very rude on the phone, told me I’d have to wait another 45 mins for delivery and I needed to return the extra chips, then put the phone down on me!! Been going here for years, not anymore- terrible customer service, not even a can of drink for the inconvenience. They got their chips back!

Extremely poor service and a joke of a takeaway. I am fuming at the service I have just received. I ordered a pizza at 12:16 and was told the pizza will be delivered in about 45 mins. 45 mins passed and I called again to request the delivery driver calls me instead of knocking on the r Door as it’s now 1:04am. I then call a 3rd time at 1:40am to cancel the order as it’s taken too long. 2am the driver is knocking on my door so I took the pizza and paid for it after asking is the pizza even hot? In which the smoke stinking driver replied yes it’s hot just came out the box. I then open the box and the pizza is burnt and cold. 2:04am I call quality dinner back fuming. In which they refuse to give me a full refund for the Cold burnt pizza they expect to be paid for. I was offered a 50% refund and have been told I should receive it Monday. Absolutely disgusted with the food and the service just glad I have recorded the calls as my defence. Will never eat here ever again. I would avoid this place you get more Quality pizzas in your freezer then this so called “quality diner”

I would give this a 0. Avoid at all costs. Food turned up late and stuff was missing. I called up and was called a liar by the “manager” and the delivery driver. The driver then told them that I questioned her about the delivery which is another load of lies . I called again to say the food was cold and the “manager” said that there is no way it could be, after it being left for an hour it was cold. He was very rude on the phone and I will not be ordering again. It’s a waste of money and the service is terrible. Customer service needs to be improved big time.

Ordered and was told that it would be 45 minutes ended up calling an hour and 20 minutes after ordering and was told that it had gone out with the driver around 20 minutes ago and we would have to just wait for our food. We made a point about the food being cold and we were told that it isn't there problem and although they said that we could call up again and the driver would collect it and it would be sent out fresh it is also getting later and had 2 children that needed to be fed before bed time. we called again after having been waiting for 2 hours altogether for our food and all we were told is that we have to wait and that they are busy. Had to cancel the order . It is ridiculous that it has spent all that time in the car it would be cold after spending so long in there. And we aren’t paying for cold food.

I have been friends with all the staff at the Quality Diner since I once visited them in October 21 and I have continued to visit them on a regular basis. They're great! Dougie.

Long wait for delivery1:30 hours (ordered on line ), was a Saturday though. However on arrival and unwrapping the food was Luke warm, (ordered a large I Ed kebab, cheesy fries and a large burger with extra cheese) we were that hungry we warmed up the food in oven, than to try and ring and complain. Average overall quality poor. (Best part was the fresh salad) this is now the second time it has been like this so unfortunately won’t be doing a delivery service for this type of food again!

Do not order from this place there food is horrible. Ordered chilli cheese bits and only received 4 when there should if been 8 I phone up and they was saying we was lieing. I'm pretty sure there driver open the bag and eaten them . Also chicken is very dry the garlic sauce is like jelly we wasn't asking for a refund all we wanted was the other 4 chilli cheese bits that we paid for I stop using this place mouths ago due to food allway dry cold or missing.onky used it as are kebabs house was close don't even need 1 Star should be -100 starts

I would give 0 stars if I could but my problem is I ordered 2 kebabs one of the kebabs came and there was oil dripping everywhere like I wouldn't be complaining if it was abit as I know some food can be oily but this was a chicken kebab and the oil managed to seep through 2 papers that It was wrapped in and the other thing I ordered was a donner wrap the meat was just full off fat and gritty peices I didn't even eat it I wouldn't even feed my cats the meat absolutely terrible and £12.40 down the drain appalling! Never going here again

Unfortunately that was the last time I'll be ordering from Quality Diner. For the fifth time in a row the order was wrong. I ordered a chicken doner and received a lamb doner. When ordering I even asked for it to be checked due to the previous orders being wrong where the wrong item was sent or something was missing. When the order arrived I tried calling to sort it out but it was just ringing. I ended up swapping with my Husband who also doesn't like lamb doner. After 45 minutes of trying to get through we were told we shouldn't have eaten it and should have just waited. We gave it to the dog in the end. She'll probably throw it up.

Prices have been put up but food Portions have gone down its a joke thr prices you pay for what they give you also asking for sauce on your food instead of pots is to mixh for them to do and when you donhet your pots of half full sauce half time they are OFF the service is terrible when you complain KEEP WELL AWAY

Had a meal delivered from quality diner last night it was the worst meal we have ever had , last night a few of us went down with upset tummy’s this morning I find out my elderly dad has been on the toilet and being sick all night same with one of my daughters , I rang the shop today to explain what has happened and to see what they was going to do about it and basically was told no refund and that no body else has complained he did say if anyone else comes forward and complains then we will get a full refund absolutely disgusting 🤮 avoid at all cost I had to rate it but it should be 0

Took over 3 hours to receive food!! When we called up after 2 hours of waiting we was told they cooked it a while ago but the delivery driver forgot to take it with him. Another hour passes we finally received food! it was cold and had been microwaved as the chips were hard and chewy😩I had to chuck it in the bin it was disgusting. Never ordering from here again. Waste of money.

Order from here too regularly 😶, due too late working patterns of me and my partner, but always hot, always on time, always full of flavour and the drivers are always friendly, I ask for extra chilli peppers on the special instructions and I get them which is amazing (alot of takeaways never remember) couldn't recommend enough 👍

Ordered online as I have had problems before with being sent incorrect food after ordering on the phone and then being told by the manager that I must have asked for the wrong thing! Only ordered again as we have been going here for a long time and always enjoyed the food and service before. Waited 75 minutes for our order to arrive and then one of the items was incorrect. Called the shop, I was offered a replacement but it took over an hour for a driver to come back with the new food which was also cold! Very disappointing and not even an apology from the shop when I told them.

Just had this from quality dinner un edible meat rock hard and garlic bread burnt to a cinder When phoned to complain was told the cooker burnt it darling we don't give refunds dont cry darling do not use this place rude and arrogant reporting to the food standards agency and consumer rights

I have been using Quality Dinner for years. Any problems I have had they have always resolved. However my last order was inedible. (The previous order was burnt but edible and I didn't ask them to replace it). Called to tell them this expecting them to replace the items in my order that were inedible as they just tasted of pure salt (excluding the pizza that was lovely). They told me that it was my taste buds and there was nothing wrong with the order and I had ordered lamb tikka shish, I told them that is what I always order but it is so salty it is inedible. Again I was told it was my taste buds and that the order was fine. I said ok I will rip up your menu and won't use you again (which I did and I won't). Very disappointed because when I get the young lady on the phone she is amazing.

Food was disgusting. I would have enjoyed eating a box more. Chips were cold & and very cardboard like, nuggets have definitely been sat forhourss on a hot plate and not cooked fresh, they were rock hard. Binned it all, complete waste of money. I wouldnt even feed it to my dog. Its a joke to believe they feel this food was fit to serve. Never again.
