The waffles should be light and fluffy but the waffles we have had were tough and chewy! All I could taste was flour! The waffle place that can NOT make waffles, wow! Also everyone got their food at different times so we were not able to eat together! Really bad organisation and the kitchen looked messy! I’m very disappointed!! THE WORST WAFFLES I HAVE EVER HAD! What a waste of money!!

Ordered 2 banoffee crepes and I opened mine up and every single piece of banana was black?? Also the crepes were rock hard couldn’t cut them up and they were rubbery too, making a crepe isn’t hard so I don’t know how you’ve got it so wrong and it took you so long too. Never ordering here again

I was with my family, food was great and i think one of the best coffee in kingston! Really recommend this place! Will be back! Very good service:)

I was severely disappointed with my experience here. Having paid £11 for two crepes I was expecting a very good standard but was immediately concerned when I saw them remove “pre cooked” crepes from a tray behind the counter. I have ALWAYS had freshly cooked crepes to order wherever I’ve been. Having ordered a chocolate and strawberry crepe I was expecting this to be filled but was given a total of two small strawberries and a drizzle of cold chocolate sauce. The crepe itself was as you might think having clearly been left out from being cooked hours before - cold, rubbery and horribly tough to eat. I can not believe the money they charged and what terrible quality this was. I wonder if they will be good enough to explain them self with a response...

Waffles came out cold and the crepes were undercooked. Staff looked blankly when I asked for the crepe to be remade as it was almost raw inside and they said they couldn’t as they’d run out of pre-prepared crepes, when crepes are half of their menu? All four of us were disappointed so I’d recommend going to the other dessert place round the corner!

Not sure about other branches but Kingston one loses quality at every visit. Last time the experience was not good but we decided to give another try since the waffles used to be amazing a few months ago. We order a Nutella Sandwich. First they forgot our order, then when it came was cold and pale. We sent it back and the second one came extremely, extremely salty. That dough cannot even be used on the savoury options. We asked the refund and left. Even after 1h we still feel the salty flavour. Not planning to go back.

I visited this place for the second time and was not disappointed. Amazing delicious waffles and smoothies, definitely the right place to stop for a nice lunch.

The staff were pleasant & enthusiastic about their work, but the quality of the dishes served was a let down, especially considering the price being charged. The waffles were very undercooked with a distinct doughie consistency & very unpleasant on the palette. The icecream was icy. Coffee was good.

Visited with my sister and niece as a treat. Staff couldn't take my order properly. Took ages to arrive. Had to query many times where it was. Food is bland! Coffee arrived late and not hot. Staff looked clueless and unorganized. Overpriced!

We ordered a savoury waffle that came out first it was very pale, cheese was completed cold and unmelted, the waffle tasted old a few hours and had been slightly warmed for a minimum time not cooked through, looked nothing like the picture which was melted and brown. We saw the staff member wipe down a dirty table wearing gloves, with the same gloves she went behind the counter and picked up our plates to serve us. Previous to this we had seen her touch the til and touch other foods with same gloves. She served our crepes which were also cold and very pale and hard from sitting on the counter until customers ordered. We walked out as hygiene was poor and food preparation terrible very surprised they had received a 5 for food safety as what we saw was very poor for a simply concept. Very badly done we would never return and would not recommend this to anyone there are other better places in Kingston with better food prep and staff attention to standards.

I took my daughter here for a treat, and ordered the triple chocolate waffle for myself, which is one of the more expensive sweet waffles. It just tasted bad. The waffle was flavourless with a terrible texture, and the toppings did nothing to redeem it. Even my 6 year old daughter wouldn't eat the ice cream. When I complained to the manager he said it was a different batter to their other (cheaper) waffles. Whatever - it still tasted awful. And there were no menus on tables or information explaining the difference anywhere. No refund. Told I could order another one, but would have to pay. Great - thanks. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Was here for 10 minutes and unsurprisingly had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a hot chocolate and was given a lukewarm drink, and the waiter tried to justify why it wasn't hot. And when I asked if they could heat it up- sure they did, but they came across very rude and reluctant. It was not worth nearly £4.

American waffles Nutella sandwich was delicious and big :) Waffle, Nutella, vanilla ice cream and cream what is not to like. We will be coming back for this winning combo. The “Thick shakes black and white” was crap and anything but thick. More like cold milk. The dark chocolate (the black bit) was slivers of chocolate stuck to the inside of the glass so practically impossible to eat. Stay away from these tiny glasses of disappointment

There are no toilets in this place and the staff and incredibly rude and unsympathetic. They didn’t smile once and waffles were bland and soggy.

Waffles ok but unacceptable because no sign there is no toilets. Not very nice To be eating in émergence!

Staff shortages and lack of waiting experience from staff. I wanted need to buy two plain waffles to take out but in the same queue as the table customers and was told to wait till they serves all the tables first. There were just 3 tables of 2 ppl. I was left waiting for over 15 mins. That 15 mins was serving 1 customer.

I've studiously avoided wafflemeister due to my attempts at self control. When the wife went in for coffee and something savoury i had to try the breakfast waffle. Not at all sweet. Generous helping of granola snd yoghurt topped with banana. Really excellent

I had a waffle with chocolate sauce on top. I realised that the waffles are really sugary as opposed to other plain waffles in other places, and I had a Latte. Place was okay, they were cleaning.

Very good waffles and crepes worth going there again highly recommend this place if you want to have excellent waffles or crepes

Lovely friendly visit, clean and tidy premises, lovely coffee, icecream, waffles and crepes. Great portion sizes. Special shout out for how accommodating they were of my fussy daughter, went the extra mile to make sure she was happy and you don’t get that everywhere. 5 stars, we’d definitely stop by again.

Having tried a sample waffle , which they give samples out to anyone which tasted nice . As I was in town for a while I went back later that day.

We were wandering around Kingston and we needed a pit stop. Wafflemeister was the perfect place to do so. Fresh and tasty waffles, with a range of different toppings and nice drinks. You order in the till and they take the food to your table. We went for plain waffles with chocolate and other fancier with bananas, strawberries and stuff like that and they all were amazing!

The seating is horrendous, in the fact that all chairs are fabric as opposed to wipe clean material, and so all chairs are covered in disgusting stains (not what you want to be looking at before, during or even after ingesting your food).

I love coming here and treating myself! I became totally obsessed with their waffles. Staff is very friendly, occasionally confused and it seems like they finally got a training how to do a proper coffee. Waffles and pancakes are always fresh, tasty and beautifully presented!

Yeah, pretty pricey really. I mean we spent around twenty notes when we were actually headed for macs where we would have only spent half that. me and my two school age daughters that is. at sort of late breakfast time (well, mid morning). the place wasnt crammed, only one table was taken. we headed for what looked like the comfy banquettes at the back. but it was not clean. soiled. worn. well-used. and the table was so wobbly it sloshed all my coffee. we moved to the front - a big wooden table but even that was on a slope. strange set up. the pancakes and waffles were good, well presented, kids enjoyed them and the creamy strawberry smoothie type drink. all looks pretty fancy. i asked for white americano and was offered free waffle part of the deal they were doing in the morning. we wont be back in a hurry.

When we arrived there was only one other family in the restaurant however nearly all the tables were dirty - we had to clear off the table ourselves before we could all sit down together. There was no one else ordering when we ordered however, one order came out wrong so we had to send it back, and one order was completely forgotten about - once we’d pointed this out they all looked around between themselves and decided to make the order.

Stoped by as we fancied something warm and sweet. I knew it was going to be tasty, but the only reason I'm writing this review is because i was very pleasantly surprised. Both the Waffle and the crepe were delicious. I'd like to think I'm bit of a waffle connoisseur and this was one of the best!

Great for breakfast with the children. Lovely, light crepes with a big choice of fillings. Coffee and tea were great, and the service excellent. Great menu with a range of choices. We will definitely be back.

Visited as a family of 4, first Saturday in August as an afternoon treat. Service was slow, it took approx 45minutes to be served and for waffles to then arrive to table. Other customers complained to staff as their waffles were cold. There were 7 members of staff behind the counter, the restaurant was full (approx 40 customers).

El menú aquí. El único problema es que hoy no podían hacer gofres belgas (un poco extraño dado el nombre). Así que optamos por el salmón ahumado, salado crêpe. No es un sabroso panqueque, es un hecho normal comprobar que se pone duro cuando pancake recalentado. El abundante estaba bien, pero 7 libras. 98 estaba muy por encima en cuanto al precio de esta comida muy plástico.

This is actually for the wimbledon wafflemeister but they don't have a tripadvisor page. I went in and ordered a vanilla milkshake the guy took out a Morrisons Ice cream tub, scooped up a few spoons and put it into a blender thing and gave it to me. Absolutely awful! and it didn't even taste of vanilla! It cost around £4. Rip off!

Service was fairly quick on a Tuesday lunchtime, but we were the only ones in there. (should have told us something) Food arrived quickly,but it was cold and tasteless. We got the impression that little of the food was cooked fresh, but rather pre-prepared and warmed up. Won't be going there again.

We walked in and weren't sure whether to order at the counter or sit down and wait to be served. So ordered at the counter, after a few minutes my partner received his food, looked very unappetizing to say the least, mine arrived just as my partner finished their food. Great. Mine was luke warm, the chicken pieces were dried out, the bacon was very fatty. Yuk. I managed to eat less than half and couldn't face eating anymore.And that all cost over £22.

Visited here with my partner after dinner in Kingston . Upon entering we could see a huge selection of waffles and ice cram. I approached the desk and the lady asked what I would like, the lady seemed like she was just going through the motions, not a smile or sign that she actually wanted to be there. Nonetheless I continued and orders a chocolate ice cream for my partner and then I asked the lady what waffles they had to which she looked at me blank. At this point and as a new customer a few recommendations would have been great but as per the trend as when we entered she just said 'waffle with sauce and ice cream' and then looked at me. After deliberation I went for a waffle with chocolate sauce and Nutella ice cream. The bill came to nearly £8. We didn't wait long before it arrived. My partner said her ice cream wasn't bad but I was less impressed, the waffle didn't taste particularly amazing(as some of these reviews would lead you to believe) to be honest it tasted like a rather standard waffle I could pick up from Sainsbury 4 for £2. I found the ice cream not of amazing quality. Overall I would say it was just OK. While we were there I noticed young children visiting in their droves. I'm guessing this is their target market and if so then they can compromise on quality as I'm sure the teens wouldn't notice any difference but if you are used to quality afters this place may not be for you as the service and the deserts definitely lack quality

I'm So lucky to have such yummy and delicious waffles on my doorstep in Kingston. The staff were all friendly even though a little slow in serving. The actual place has such an amazing smell you literally want to eat everything in sight! As for the waffles, tasty, sweet and you just want to keep eating them. It's a shame I had to share with a Friend. Can't wait to return. We tried the churro waffle and even thinking about it now Is making me hungry!.

I have visited Wafflemeister a few times for coffee & to escape the cold weather. One of the staff told me that their waffles were really good, so I decided to order the strawberry & white chocolate one. The waffle tasted fine, but the presentation was really sloppy - white chocolate dripped all over the edges of the plate & far too much cream. A couple at the table next to me had paid for their order before I arrived & only received their waffles several minutes after me. One at a time. After showing their receipt each time, to prove that they had paid for their order & asking where their waffles were. I could hear & see the staff chatting & laughing uproariously behind the counter. I feel that a visible management presence & better training are needed here.

Visited there two times. I am not a big fan of waffles, or should I say, I do not eat them often, Wafflemeister waffles taste good, and you have plenty of options for topping. Service was fast and friendly. The place to visit for any sweet tooth.

We had 3 waffles with my sister and my cousin.. were brilliant!There works a Greek girl she is very happy and friendly! She makes amazing waffles! We were very happy to finish our trip in London in this excellent waffle shop!

What a find! When I walked in the guy behind the counter was very welcoming and full of energy. As it was my first time there I wasnt sure what to order so took a few minutes looking through what was on offer. I eventually went for something that wasnt on the menu and they were fine with it.I took a seat and within a couple of minutes my custom hot waffle with vanilla ice cream, Oreo's and chocolate sauce was served to my table. What a creation, it was perfect and it wasn't even that expensive.In regards to the the environment. Everything was immaculate and the free WiFi was very quick. They also have a couple of sofa's so you can be comfy whilst eating your comfort food.

Tried out this place with my boyfriend, the first thing I noticed was how hot it was in there. We orded waffle with banana and cream with chocolate. For drinks, Oreo milkshake and freshly made apple juice.Tried abit of the Oreo milkshake, it was very nice. As for the apple juice it was too sweet!Waffles were warm and sweet, but too much whipped cream really didn't help. We thought we were getting bannana with our waffles, but ended up with very thin slices placed standing up in the cream. May go somewhere else next time.

Bank holiday Monday, and it seems the B-team were on duty.After waiting a while to be served at the counter, we ordered two crepes and two hot chocolates. My wife's freshly-made crepe arrived with the hot chocolates. She had finished her crepe by the time mine arrived, after I'd had to ask whether it was coming. Mine had the crispy texture of a re-heated crepe.This shop really needs a spring on the door. On a January day, arriving customers left the door swinging open which left a cold draught blowing in.

We stayed at the nearby Travelodge and chose this place for breakfast. It was pretty cheap, we had a large waffle with bacon, fried egg, cheese and maple syrup and a nice strong cup of English Tea. Highly recommend and is right at the start of the high street so handy for fuelling up prior to starting a day (or 2 days!) of Christmas shopping

Popped in for a late lunch with my wife. She ordered a pancake, which came out very quickly. My waffle however didn't arrive until she'd almost finished. When it did arrive it was missing maple syrup, which again didn't materialise until I'd almost completely eaten everything (i'd given up and started eating). Despite this, I can't fault the taste, and the price was very reasonable, so they manage to get a 3 rating. Better service could see them getting 5 out of 5.

I visited yesterday for the first time to get a quick crepe but quick is not what happened. As I waited, a lady had to ask again for an item she had still not received - only a muffin! The crepe maker seems very unhappy. There is no sense of urgency about him as he reheated a pre made crepe for me. There's a lack of communication there between staff. You'll be left waiting a while there sadly.

I really struggle to say something positive about this place. Ordering took about half an hour and when the food eventually came, they still got the order wrong! The service was slow and the woman who served my food just dropped the plate on the table and walked off. Not surprised by her attitude as I witnessed her interacting with another customer. The customer asked how much longer the food would be as she was clearly in a rush. To which she replied 'it's coming' and avoided the customer who was standing hoping for a better answer than that. The food was cold by the time it arrived. My drink was horrid and not filled to the top, despite its heafty pricetag. Just a let down, the name of the shop was enticing but I will never step foot in it again.

I visited this place a few days ago, expecting waffles as I remembered them : fresh, light, and irresistible. Although they claim the waffles are freshly made, and they no doubt are, actually the texture is heavy and doughy and much like supermarket pre-made waffles reheated. Maybe I've been spoilt in the past, having been a regular customer at the original Waffles shop in Cambridge in the 1980s, which made their irresistibly light and tasty waffles on the spot using buttermilk and buckwheat flour.

The staff was unfriendly and slow and we waited a few minutes for our orders. My friends were not happy with their smooties (too expensive and not even full) and my shake was half banana and shake and half just whipped cream. After the visit we felt bad because of the cream.

I'm happy to support a local business so I don't mind if the staff need a bit of training ( just a bit slow on the till and serving the coffee) - the manager is lovely though.The waffles and pastries we had were very nice and they serve illy coffee which is a bonus. Ambience is also very nice if you want to get away from mass market, busy and boring Starbucks vibe.

I work pratically opposite this place, so a lot of the day I smell this amazing aroma wafting out.It's not cheap but it's well worth it though and and the greedy hot chocolate is a real treat.When I was in Kuala Lumpur waiting to go to the Petronas Towers, we were in the shopping mall at the base and had a spot of lunch, as we were walking around afterwards, this familiar smell hits us and we look up and there was Wafflemeister, right in front of us. So we though why not, would be rude not to.

Really poor service. Took 15 mins to make a latte and a cappuccino which then came 5 mins apart while the manager sat down to look at computer after making one of them and leaving it to the poor girls who were making crepes. Girls lovely and I'm sure waffles and crepes are great but wouldn't return as clearly they are not thinking about service and customers at all.

Super yummy waffles be it for breakfast or just a snack...love the place and the service too.will definitely recommend this place

Having left a restaurant where we didn't fancy any of the desserts, we thought this looked a good place to get something that appealed more to the five of us more. They have a good range of tempting waffles and crepes but despite the number of staff behind the counter and a near empty restaurant when we arrived, nobody came to the table where we sat or spoke to us. Presumably they expect all orders to be placed at the counter but someone could have greeted us and mentioned that rather than just leaving us sitting there. The food was very nice for what it was but orders did not arrive together and some of us were finishing before others had started.

Went there on a date and I was so impressed with how quiet and cute the place is even though its on the busy highstreet. The waffles arent soggy like in a lot of other waffle places and the fruit is fresh and delicious. Barely any waiting time but just enough to enjoy a short romantic conversation with your spouse. Delightful visit, defineatly will come back

Before they have a complete staff overhaul this place was lovely! Service was excellent and people were very friendly and helpful.Now they have no idea what they're doing and keep reheating the waffles they made in excess earlier! Which is not what they claimed as "freshly made waffles!"Would not be inclined to return now.

We (2 adults 2 kids) had a waffle each plus drinks and we ate in. The waffles were nice and the kids really enjoyed them. The ice cream portions are huge. The coffee was good, better than most cafés. The service was terrible. It was really busy and the staff chose to serve all the take out customers who came after us first so we had to wait ages. There were no knives and were asked to pay 50p for a squirt of honey for our youngest child's waffle. We declined. We came to try it out but probably won't return. There are many great cafés in Kingston with much better service.

This restaurant serves some of the tastiest waffles around and the ice cream is absolutely delicious!I recommend the Waffle milkshake (can't remember the exact name) but it's to die for.

This place is very lovely. I had an amazing waffle and milkshake and not too expensive either.However, they could have made the place a lot bigger, hardly no seats at all.Also, I think the staff may need some more training they run around like head-less chickens kind of not knowing what to do.Other than that its lovely.

出了车站等朋友，他推荐的这家华夫。【位置】离KINSTON火车站超级近，步行8MIN左右可及，在左手边。【环境】黄红的主色调，快餐的装修风格，并不是特别令人印象深刻，但卫生条件看起来还挺不错的。【服务】是一个布达佩斯的小妹为我点的华夫，所以发音略拙计…不是太听得懂…而且感觉挺生的，可能是新手，无法解答他们家的华夫是不是手工做的这个问题…但态度非常友好。【口味】点餐的时候试吃了他们家的布朗尼，还挺棒的，但是略微偏甜了一点。点了一份经典华夫（CLASSIC），因为当时刚下车觉得巧克力的太甜了，又不是很喜欢奶油（CREAM）觉得可能会腻，配了一杯小拿铁。上餐速度还不错，10MIN左右吧。拿铁配了一小块巧克力，中规中矩，不惊艳也不糟糕。华夫还是挺好吃的，属于里外都松软的。因为对华夫还是蛮情有独钟的所以要求比较高，只能说还不错吧，个人更喜欢吃外脆里嫩的华夫，会比较有对比感。比较遗憾的是餐具是塑料的，一下子就显得不是很有质感，而且也不太容易切开华夫。平时跟朋友喝个下午茶还是不错的选择啦。

Like many other dessert bars, Wafflemeister offers the usual fare of ice cream, waffles and milkshakes. You can order your waffle with a variety of toppings including fruit, whipped cream, ice cream or Oreo cookies. The portions have quite a fair size to them but they are very sweet and leaves a great after taste. But be warned, long queues may be expected and some dishes may be expensive.

The place was half empty. The staff did not have a clue what they were doing, even though there were six of them. We asked for two teas and a waffle and got one tea and the waffle. After querying this with one of the staff we then had to queue up again to get another tea. For goodness sake get somebody in there that knows what they are doing. Will not be going there again.

I came here for the first time today (Wednesday 23rd) at about 5ish pm. I had a great thick shake, very tasty and a big portion for a very good price!... service was friendly but my shake took a little in spite of the place not being busy at all.The reason why I give the time and hour of my visit is because there was a blond woman that seemed like a manager (?) I am not sure, but she treated VERY rudely to one of the guys of the staff. There were two people, one young guy at the till and another one... she was rude to the second one. I think she is going on holiday soon since she was saying at loud. I hope she does not treat all the staff in such a bad manner... I was having a good time over there until I saw that, it kinda ruined the mood.

I come here occasionally to meet up with friends, but feel it's rather expensive to eat in so we usually take out and eat else where. The waffle is delicious but the service given are somewhat lower than mediocre, it felt like the waiter doesn't want to work, is not friendly at all. I once asked to have the cream separate with the waffle, the waiter agreed but turned to his collegue as if complaining about my order, which made me felt awkward as I waited to collect my order. I would go back again, but if I can avoid it I will.

Amazing waffles amazing milkshKes, excellent choices for toppings a bit expensive but worth it. I would certainly recommend the cookies and cream waffle and banana madness milkshake or strawberry blitz milkshake you definitely need something fruity after the waffle as it can be a little sweet.

The title says it all. I bought a plain waffle (just my preference) but noticed that waffles with toppings (whether it be ice cream, cream, chocolate etc) were very overpriced. Began eating only to notice that while the outside of the waffle appeared cooked, the inside was still liquid (very undercooked, as in batter-like). Threw it away and haven't returned.

The store was pretty empty which should have told us something odd, this store being on a busy high street on a hot day. I guess there was nothing wrong with the service we received, the staff did what they had to - but no more - and it's not doing anything more that made it an average experience. I did find all of the staff polite though and friendly enough.The food was, again, average with no special care about presentation which is a shame. Waffles and Ice Cream lend themselves to some creative presentation. Even if they copied what the picture on the menu looked like then that would have been something but they didn't.The cost was too high for what was served. The portions were small although the ice cream was good.

Staff are friendly, but portion size is abysmal. The ice cream scoop served with my "dreamteam waffle" did not have a full scoop, instead a half sized, lack lustre excuse for a topping which I paid a premium for - £12 for two waffles with "ice cream" means I will not be going back again. With a major competitor within visual distance, I'd expect a better product than I received I'm afraid

Went here for a waffle the waffle's were perfectly cooked, crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They were perfectly balanced and flavoured for a waffle. My partner had coconut ice cream which tasted good, I had strawberry ice-cream which was nice but needed a bit more strawberry flavour for my taste. I thought overall it was very good and tasty. I think I would have liked a few more strawberries or bigger strawberries on my waffle and a bit more chocolate but other than that everything was great.

Decent waffles - incredibly sweet and rather expensive. A nice treat once in a while but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

Best waffles in Kingston! They do really yummy waffles and some tasty ice cream and shakes too.Only thing that annoyed me was the staff rush you to order when you are trying to make up your mind on what to order: DI will be back !

We had our waffles with a scoop of ice cream (there's a good selection) and a swirl of chocolate (you can choose between milk, white and dark). you can also choose to have it plain, or with chocolate, or in pretty much any combination involving ice cream, cream, marshmallows and Oreos.Everything was delicious, the waffles thick, tasty and crispy around the edges. The ice cream was also very good (and beautifully presented - all in lovely neat dishes, not all mashed about like you sometimes see) and the melted chocolate also.There is a good selection of dishes, and the coffee's Illy. The hot chocolate is good, and made with Belgian chocolate (although not as hot as it could be, and not up the standard of Paul!)The only downside was that the door was propped open, so it wasn't very warm in the restaurant, and also the waffles are cooked fresh daily but not there and then - so when you order, they take one off a pile and put in a waffle machine to warm up. So it wasn't really all that warm. If I go again, I'll ask them to try to make it as hot as possible, you don't really get the full effect of hot waffle and cold ice cream with a slightly warm waffle, really.It was also quite expensive, nearly a fiver for a waffle, a scoop of ice cream and a small drizzle of chocolate. It's a big waffle, though.
