The place is awesome - we come here all the time!

We had an early evening meal at La Luna Di Luca and were the only people there as it had just opened. We had a baby in a pushchair in our group of 4. The hostess was very helpful, moving furniture to give us space for the buggy. We started with the artichoke salad special which was delicious pieces of artichoke heart topped with generous thin slices of parmesan. The pizzas we ordered were big enough to share and were the best we could remember. The dough was beautifully cooked, light and crusty. We had the Toscana and the Quartre Formagio, both really tasty. We had a pleasant red wine to accompany them. We don't normally have dessert but shared an excellent Tiramisu and Ice creams Afrogato with liqueurs, perfect. Service was relaxed and nicely timed.

Arrived in Richmond late on a Saturday afternoon and from the taxi noticed a nice looking wine bar and opposite, an Italian restaurant. The wine bar didn’t serve food, so we crossed the road to La Luna Di Luca. We were fortunate to get a table (without a booking) and enjoyed seeing so many family groups dining out together. The menu has many flavours from Sardinia and we really enjoyed the Tagliatelle al Ragu and the Mallureddus Campidanese (Sardinian pasta with sausage) - both expertly cooked al dente. The rocket and pomegranate salad complemented the pasta perfectly. The moreish rosé was exactly as the owner described it - fruity and dry. I would like to drink it again! The only downside was the unexpected “optional” 12.5% service charge - the highest we’ve come across on this trip. We’d definitely eat here again - the pizzas looked very good too.

This pizza is a gift from heaven. We’ve been getting it delivered, or had it at the restaurant for 3 years now. It’s special !

First time here - food is really authentic and delicious. I had a crab linguini that was pretty perfect. Hint of chilli and bursting with crab flavour. If you’re in a rush it may be not be the place for you, but if you want to enjoy amazing food and take your time in true Italian fashion then try it.

Super nice custome service, it’s how it should be and nowadays it’s not given for granted. The lady owner is welcoming and the atmosphere is super cosy. They also have a nice patio and the venue is dog friendly. The products are all 5 stars and the pizzas are the best really, made with genuine ingredients and super good 👍🏻 Will keep coming back

We have dined here many times. Sometimes the service of certain staff really lets this place down, but it’s a pretty spot and the food is really great. As a family of vegans and vegetarians we really appreciate that they are flexible in the dishes they make for us.

Beautiful, wonderful, very interesting and excellent

So, the food was ok, and the pricing is reasonable as well. But the service is so appalling you wonder how this place is still in business. We weren't handed menus (we got them ourselves from the counter), ordering took forever. And then the food took about 45 minutes to arrive. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. Then one of our group didn't get her food with the rest of us. We needed to remind them to get the last pizza. Then it looks like they forgot to charge us for it as well. And in the end, they wouldn't do multiple transactions to split the bill either. And they had the audacity to charge 12.5% on the bill, which in hindsight we should have refused to pay. There are better places to go than this one.

Fitted us in at short notice. Really nice atmosphere, good food and good service.

Small and perfectly formed restaurant makes for a wonderful and warm, atmosphere, serving amazing food (pizzas and pasta to die for) with attentive and thoughtful service. Will definitely be returning, especially when the nights are warmer to sit outside.

I have tried so many pizzas in London and this one was the only one that came close to the ones I had in Italy. Absolutely amazing will order time and time again!

Mar-23 I really enjoyed eating here. Alongside a take out service is a small restaurant side to the business. I would describe the experience as like being invited to a friend's place for a leisurely authentically Italian meal with real Italian wine (with only Italian writing on the label) - perfect! The downside is the speed of service, but as long that doesn't matter, do go. We would return next time we are in Richmond.

Really delicious pizzas and friendly staff

Chapeau to the best pizza I have tried in London. One of the best pizzas I have ever had. Me and my partner go whenever we can. We have a little dog and they are always welcoming with him. The place is cosy and warm. The owner is kind and she recognises us all the times. I always have a calzone and ichnusa beer. We order a “Verduretti” pizza and they taste perfect, always. Shame I don't have a photo at the moment to share

Martina welcomed us to her cosy, intimate restaurant which has a lovely atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. We had a selection of pastas, pizzas and starters which were all excellent. I feel the beetroot, fig and pistachio salad deserves a special mention! Thanks for a lovely evening.

We’ve eaten here a few times and it’s always consistent. Lovely food as always using fresh produce. Tonight I had the tagliatelle after seeing their beautiful fresh porcini. Pasta was homemade, perfectly al dente with ceps, porcini and truffle paste. I would happily eat another portion. Wonderful friendly service from Martina and the team.

The worst pizza restaurant in London! Martina the owner is rude and obnoxious. The service is disgraceful and the product is not Italian! In Italy we say: le manca il forcone sembra uscita da un fienile.... Cafona, rozza e maleducata! W Franco Manca, cheap, kind, good quality and above all they are Italian! Not fake Italian like Martina!

Worst dining experience we have ever had because of the owner's extremely rude attitude. They gave us a table where 4 people can sit despite our reservation was for 5 people. After an hour, before finishing our dinner they brought the bill before it is requested and said they need the table for other customers. The owner was extremely rude, save your money and go to another restaurant nearby! Reply to restaurant owner's comment: Hey Martina, Good try! but people who know you already won't buy it! I can see you are not only disrespectful, your comment is also not correct. My friend and her 2 daughters saw us in the restaurant and came to our table to say hi. They stayed less than 15 mins and left the restaurant because they already had a bad experience with you previously. If you were so kind as to think for your customers waiting in the queue you should have taken the chairs from our next table where there were 2 empty chairs. Customers who read this review can see a lot of similar experience in the other reviews in both Google Maps and Tripadvisor. You have a lot to learn about how to communicate with customers.

Small family run restaurant serving pasta and pizza Friendly staff, generous portions of nicely cooked food. We had pasta but have had a take away pizza previously. My advice is to share starters and desserts. Wines reasonably priced.

The team is very friendly and the lady owner is super attentive and she recognises me and my partner even if we visited them once before! Lived in Richmond for 31 years. Have been here 3 times as it's relatively new and top of my road. Each time I think I'm not gonna bother with other places to eat around here. However haven't tried Cena yet. Unfortunately now CLOSED ! Now moved opposite side of road!

Best pizza in Richmond, just don’t order from Deliveroo! It’s been stone cold the last 3 times (tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by trying a couple of times) Real shame, but not worth it, even for good pizza.

This is by far the best pizza around! I've never been to the restaurant itself, so I can't comment on service. But La Luna Di Luca + uber eats were a lifesaver during lockdown. Every pizza we tried there were amazing, ravioli and orecchiette are great as well. Really recommend it to everyone!

Regardless of how good the deli is, I want to let everyone know how rude the owner/manager of this location is so that people consider twice which shops from our Richmond community they choose to support and buy from! Today this guy asked 2-5yr old kids to leave his “private property” (terrace) because the donuts they were eating were not from his shop!

The ravioli from this place is 🤤. We are walking distance so have been quite a few times and everyone is super friendly, food is tasty and overall a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. The pizzas are also so bomb!

The ONLY place we get pizza from now! Absolutely stunning pizzas, not oily or greasy like others but simply delicious! Such kind and welcoming staff and I always feel safe visiting. Converted many family and friends! Unfortunately when I went to Italy I was disappointed with the pizza there as La Luna di Luca is THE BEST!

A little gem of a restaurant: both the pasta and the pizza we ordered were absolutely delicious, and the wine list is great, and very reasonably priced. The restaurant feels very cosy and warm. Highly recommended!

Ordered a whole bunch of margarita pizzas last night (one of which was gluten free) plus other pizzas... when order came, nothing marked Gluten free on box.. despite our best efforts... no one in our group could be 100% sure which of the many margaritas was GF... called up restaurant and they just said “it’s obvious, just look at them” this was unhelpful as we had spent time doing that (meanwhile pizzas going cold) also, as they made no attempt to cover the phone mouth piece, let’s just say I could hear their lack of interest in my dilemma... The person who I ordered GF pizza didn’t eat pizza that night...and I was left very disappointed with a restaurant that I have previously enjoyed take outs and many, many lovely dine-in nights... just very disappointed with lack of customer service and basic understanding..... :-(

I saw what the other reviewer was talking about the masks. She simply said she forgot her mask and asked kindly if they provide spare masks. I too was mortified by the response given by the shop owner. She called the customer crazy for asking for a spare mask. There was not any issue with refusing to wear a mask. The shop owner’s response below proves that they should not be in the business of customer service. I would not want to be treated like this without any respect. Too bad, I would not be buying any ice creams from this shop again. All thumbs down for La luna!

What a horrible experience!!! This business won’t be getting 10-15 pounds per day (300-450 pounds per month) of getting any revenue out of my pocket anymore. The attendant asked if I had a mask, I did not, simply did not take it with me this time. I asked if they had spares (most customer focused businesses here will give you a one time surgical mask for similar situations, in case people forget masks or run out of masks). She laughed at me, saying I was crazy thinking they would give away surgical masks! I honestly was shocked in the way I was treated, or their general outlook on treating customers. A simple no would suffice, and they would have lost my business for one time only. Now they have list it perpetually, since I live next door and was buying stuff our of convenience. Needless to say, I wont be helping this business out, when so many businesses are looking for regular customers. If a businesses dont appreciate your business and dont treat their customers right, they dont deserve any business from customers. I will make sure this is know on any other platform and warn my neighbours as well.

Nice pizza but the service was awful. Arrived at the shop when the pizza was due for collection. The guy at the counter (who was completely useless) told us to wait. 15 minutes later and still no food so we asked them where it was, which was when they decided to actually start making it. Another 15 minutes later, Frankenstein brings our pizzas across. No apologies or anything. Pizzas are bloody expensive too

First time we have tried La Luna - it was the best pizza we have had for a long time. The pizza base/dough was just perfect, the toppings were exactly the right amount and the flavour - terrific. So fresh, so tasty, we will order again. One thing that was most remarkable is that the pizza boxes remained completely clean indicating how absolutely fabulous these pizzas really are! Thank you!

I've never been to the restaurant but we get takeaway pizza from here quite regularly. It is honestly some of the best pizza I have eaten anywhere (including on holiday in Sardinia!) and great value for money compared to others on offer in the local area. Would highly recommend for takeaway.

Good Italian food, great wine list, friendly service always willing to help. Their delicatessen on the opposite side of the street is also fine. Been many times.

Had the most amazing meal here on Sunday night outside in their garden terrace. Buzzing atmosphere, busy but calm, delicious pizza - very authentic, and such a friendly welcoming waiter. We will be coming back very soon!

I have had a few home deliveries from this place. The quality of the ingredients of the pizza and dessert are outstanding. The flavours and taste of the food are very good.

Wonderful place, great authentic seasonal food, great atmosphere, kid friendly, solid wine selection, Martina and Jamal have turned this place into a local institution. Most of the customers are local regulars, like us, coming over and over again. They also do take away! Forget the bad reviews and try it out.

Lovely food, we had dinner two nights ago and we really enjoyed it. I had swordfish which was amazing, my husband had crab with pasta which was fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back.

OMG...what a great surprise. The pasta was cooked just right. We had ravioli, crab spaghetti and a seafood melody. They were all great. I also recommend the caprese and the fried calamari. They have a small but excellent wine selection. They have some great outdoor seating and the street is not very busy. BTW, they have moved to the north side of the street, near the old location indicated on Google maps. The Italian lady running this place obviously knows how to do this right. I would give this place five stars, but the service was a little slow...but worth it.

I live nearby and have eaten here a few times. It really is a hit or miss experience. The food is generally decent but the service is erratic. One day warm and welcoming, the next cold and very slow. There are several better Italian restaurants in Richmond so the only reason to risk it is proximity!

The Trattoria restaurant has the BEST pizza in SW London hands down. I mainly order off Deliveroo so I don’t gave any experience in the restaurant but it seems cute. There are two restaurants called La Luna di Luca on Richmond Hill and the pizza one is definitely the best, the other one does not serve pizza. The only downside is the basil- there needs to be more on the pizza if it says it comes with basil!!!

Puzzled by the dire reviews as we’re local and have had many genuinely great meals here (and even more equally great take-out pizzas). Two thumbs up from me.

This place is terrible, if it weren’t the closest pizza joint from my house I would never spend a £ there. This is the Buffalina and should have basil. There are three very tiny leaves. Not to mention the service. Brutal.

The food was very nice, we tried the pasta and enjoyed it. It's small and cozy but does get a bit loud because of the space. It's a bit on the pricy side. We shared a started, 2 pastas and no alcohol drinks and ended at £50.

Delicious Sicilian ravioli. Fresh, light, homemade Torta della Nonna with addictive milk ice-cream. And wine to match. Perfect for tete a tete.
