Nando's Kingston in Kingston upon Thames

Not sure,where to start from … I love nandos more than anything and been eating for many years now.I have been visiting Kingston branch quite a few time and they never disappointed.Last 2 times i went there included today was nightmare. So your question is “what happened” and i would answer “what didn’t happened” … Viki was the person who took my order and i believe he is the manager on shoft dressed with grey t-shirt. I received my 1/4 chicken(breast) on table 2 and i have ordered well done and the cashier made sure it will be well done.Anyway the chicken was on my table extremely dry and withouth the skin and drowning of sauce so they can cover that has no skin. After i have asked Pascal to replace it,he looked at my like i was wrong and tried to tell me that there was skin on the chicken.After that conversation i asked him to replace it and then another 1/4 chicken was served on my table within 1-2 minutes and that time there was half of the chicken skin on and even more sauce so they are covering that half of the skin isn’t there. Pascal and one more boy trid to make me believe that chicken was okay … in 3-5 minutes constantly i had someone of nandos clueless staff on my table to resolve the issue. I just came to eat chicken and chips and relax.Then the 3rd 1/4chicken was served and luckily that was with the skin on and extremely small piece even the bones were missing.I have ordered extra 1/4chicken as that obviously wasn’t enough,then the staff started to chase me to make the payment,one of them to ask for my bank card,then i said i can pay with my nandos card as i have 1/4chicken for free.Then i had to go to the till before that chicken was served and my food was getting cold.I tried to scan my nandos card to one of your devices but it wasn’t working,then i was asked for the long number of the back,then he couldn’t find it. It was too much at that moment i had enough. I explain to Viki that that is extremely poor service and unable to deal with simple issue.He then replied that it is a bad day,but apologies its not my fault that its bad day. Once again.. i just came to eat chicken and chips.

Absolutely disgusting - two long black hairs in our Deliveroo order (one in the macho peas and one in the coleslaw). Vile hygiene and I hope they are investigated.

Great service however the chicken was quite small and marked down on atmosphere as the tables were so close together and it all felt very on top of each other

Clean and tidy eatery. Has washrooms. Their peri peri sauces are just awesome! Staff is friendly and kind. Service is good. Enough chairs and tables to sit and eat on the ground floor and the first floor. Kids friendly place.

I arrived with a friend and a double buggy, my twin daughters were sorting upon arrival. I was asked if I wanted to go upstairs and I said I would prefer to sit downstairs as I would regularly need to go backwards and forwards from the buggy to grab stuff. The lady said okay and asked us to sit in the waiting area. 10 mins later the same lady came back and told me my buggy was disturbing people as it was blocking the passage way. I explained to her that she was the one who asked me to sit there in the first place! She said ok and left. Another 20 minutes went by and my girls woke up so I asked at the till to place an order for some chips and drinks to help my children stay quiet but I was told no as we didn’t have a table. I asked if it could be put through as take away, the lady said yes to the chips but explained I couldn’t order drinks. Another 45 mins went past, my daughters were kicking off and people that arrive after us were already finishing their meals. I went up to a different lady and asked why we were being made to wait so long. She explained that because I asked to sit with the buggy only one table has the space for that. I quickly corrected her and explained I only requested to sit downstairs and never to have the buggy besides me. She apologised and sat us on the next available table with 2 high chairs. Our food took ages to arrive. All in all horrible experience, rude staff. We waited over an hour and a half, during the time, staff kept pushing my buggy whenever they felt it was in their way although I had already told them not to touch it or my children.

I love Nandos, take me back home.

Allowed us to move to a bigger table as ours was a bit wobbly. Food on point as always. Lovely cosy nandos, and there's an upstairs!

Every time I come to this Nandos, I leave happy. The staff are friendly and interested in making the whole Nandos experience a memorable one. Well done 👏

We celebrated my daughters birthday here and Pascal and his colleague were brilliant * kept my food warm even making new fries because I had a long walk from where I parked the car * provided extra plates for the cake * sang happy birthday with us! Thank you nandos

Going to be a regular for me here. Efficient and nice.

Unfortunately we will not be coming back here. We waited so long for the food and the kids were hungry. The chips came cold and we asked for it to be changed. 20 minutes later they came back (at this point the kids ate them as they couldn’t wait). They said it was to late because the chips have gone. This Nando’s has serious management issues and this needs to be address or you will lose a lot of customers.

Food and service were OK, as Nandos go, it was reliable. I would recommend having a pitta with chicken livers instead of the Portuguese roll.

The manager was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us (we had 17 people so she quickly gave us our own little section which was very nice)! The food was great as usual and arrived promptly.

Staff were very friendly and the food was good. I only dropped one star as I was sat by the window and it was really cold.

Honest can’t go wrong with a cheeky Nando’s when you’re in the mood for it. Just a vibe overall, however did experience some racism with other customers here but staff handled it well.

As we were there on weekdays lunch time , they were quiet. We ordered full platters. Only few minutes later, they brought our food which was a full old chicken from last night. We didn’t touch food and ask for another one but fresh one. After 10-15 minutes they brought fresh one. Nando’s reputation is for fresh food, then respect customers with fresh food not leftovers from last night!

The barman was constantly touching the female staff - it made me feel uncomfortable as it was throughout our entire meal - very visible and creepy as he is obviously a lot older than the female staffS - it was off putting & I will not return

Not only was my bun stale there was also the longest hair in my chicken burger which went in my mouth and almost made me sick the manager was also a disgrace arguing with me and trying to imply that I put it there avoid this gaff I will be taking this further

Used to love big, juicy wings roulette, but since when they become so small and dry?! It’s a good bye Nandos for me, the cheapest part of the chicken massively overpriced. Shame I haven’t taken a photo…

We arrived around 2:30 and it was not busy so we ordered right away and had a delicious late lunch without waiting. The staff were friendly and the food was all delicious.

i had an amazing time at nandos! i always go but genuinely the food was so amazing. I’ve never in my life had such good service, it was all thanks to pascal! he made sure we had everything all of the time. usually nandos doesn’t really have such good service but genuinely pascal made our dinner so wonderful and even had a lovely chat with us at the end!

if it wasnt for the kind and nice manager id give it 1 star, staff was very dismissive and took us 10 minutes to get their attention just to ask a simple question and i was met with so much attitude. Food also wasn’t great in this branch, gave two of my friends food poisoning

Visited for lunch today as we were out shopping in Kingston. We were greeted by Amanda who looked after us and showed us to our table. Amanda and all the staff overall were pleasant and checked up on us from time to time which was a really nice touch. Food was really good and a nice atmosphere overall in the restaurant. Whilst it was busy it didn’t feel too packed due to the layout. Really good experience but wanted to put a special mention to Amanda as you can clearly see how much of a true professional she is and is dedicated to provide a great customer experience. Lovely meal which contributed to a great day out in Kingston! I would recommend the peri chips, boneless chicken thighs which were really tender and tasty. The halloumi starter was also very good!

I eat & order from here regularly. My past few visits I have been greeted and served by Amanda (I believe she's the manager), with each of those visits she is a ray of sunshine. Attentive, positive, engaged and inviting. What a wonderful example she sets to her team. Thank you Amanda, you're doing an amazing job.

Sorry to write, but the food was cold, and the kids' chicken burger was chewy. The peri chips were warm as if they were sitting under the hot light for long. The staff was amazing, very helpful.

Amazing team and atmosphere. Special shout out to Amanda the manager, I ordered the completely wrong burger the Butterfly one instead of Sunset Burger and she didn’t even hesitate to change it for me when it was my fault! She was very polite and sweet as the rest of the team was! Thank you so much guys!

Good value for money. We shared the food between us and we did not stay hungry. Very tasty chicken.

Visited with my Wife and two kids (7mo and 3yrs). Staff were incredibly attentive, playing with my children and endeavouring to keep them entertained whilst we waited for food. Food was tasty as always - it's Nandos :) Overall a lovely meal, which as parents will know isn't always guaranteed.

This is the best Nandos we've visited. We were in the area and needed to eat, so it was an unplanned visit. We arrived with our 9 week old baby, who was very upset and crying. The staff could not do more to help us and made what could have been a very difficult meal a much nicer one! Thank you to this wonderful Nandos!

The place is small, and gets very very busy, very quickly. There is a long queue until outside, and with people been rushed to eat so they can seat others. It took too long for our food to reach us when I ordered via the app. Best to order directly from the front, the food seemed to come quicker that way. The food as always was good nando's food.

This place always has great fast service.

Driest chicken ever and my table was wobbly so it was awkward eating my meal. Never going there again, go New Malden instead.

When I told 3 different staff members that they cooked my chicken in hot sauce instead of lemon and herb, I got a shrug of the shoulders and were dismissed, not a sorry, could we make this right, nothing, I found them very rude.. sorry nandos, this time you disappointed us hugely.

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at nandos, this has to be the worst branch I’ve ever been to walked in to a half empty restaurant stood up for 15 mins waiting to even talk to a member of staff. After 30 mins of standing up we finally sit down. Order our food and wait 30 minutes to even get a drink. And 45 mins to get the food. Overall terrible experience. If I’m mk do not visit this nandos.

Tried this restaurant quite a few times, via deliveroo but also eating in. The chicken is served 9 times out of 10 boiled rather than grilled so it tastes horrible. And i mean boiled, literally! Service is very slow and the phone never get picked up, and again, I mean never! Not to mention the cancelled my order last minute without notice when i placed the order 10 min before their closing time on a Friday night. Avoid this restaurant and spend your money elsewhere. If you want to order take away from this place, think twice and go Sainsbury for your chicken, 20min in the over, job done! This Nando’s is a joke, won’t recommend it to my dog either. Hope this helps!

Always come here for some chicken at lunch the staff are really friendly and helpful. Thanks I recommend getting your chicken mild, if you like your chicken spicier you can always add sauce.

Fell ill the morning after the 17th of June 2023 ,me and the wife very poorly ,also friends of mine from work were there on another table and also complained of being ill all day on the Sunday very surprised at this as normally a pleasant experience 🤮🤢

Friendly quick service however, the toilets could be cleaner and the upstairs has a stale smell. Downstairs smells of nandos due to the kitchen. Something to bear in mind.

Brilliant restaurant, nice vibes. Only comment is that they sometimes take your plate away when you're finished but the people you're with aren't. Seems odd to leave one person eating off the only plate on the table. I wanted to finish their food, so I had to get another set of cutlery. Feels like they just need to chill out a bit more with that

had a really great meal here. for a friday night there wasn't a lot of people in there when we arrived , but it soon filled up. not a great wait for food and free refills.

Always friendly and accommodating. Food is always high standard and fast. Staff and specifically the manager is lovely and very helpful and nice. My regular spot despite being a bit further away purely for the staff.

well, everyone at least had 1 experience from Nandos. The only perk of this one is the have more natural light and it is more cosy

Sat upstairs and scanned the qr code and ordered really easy food came in 10mins and friendly staff bought our drinks paid as i order .food was lovely and when we finished we just left no waiting. Quick efficient and tasty

This is a "top notch" Nandos. The building is so neat. Open timbers for the rafters and neat old wood floors... the staff was so accommodating even with our large group and oh so caring of us.... I would say it is a definite must next trip to Kingston.

It's got expensive like everywhere else, but still really good chicken. Ha s a decent bottle of red red too.

They are a joke- how can they take over 90 mins to come and have a whole receipt is correct but the COMPLETE wrong order of food- and all cold…sorry this is the second time they have done this and this is a absolute joke

I have not been to this branch before, however it was very well run and organised. Food was served promptly and presented well.
