The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South Wales

After meeting some horrible meals in Llanfoist, this place really delighted us. My choice was Homemade Falafel, my wife avo on sourdough. They also have nice variety of beers and ciders. That falafel-hummus-salad was best vegetarian meal I have ever eaten - and price was very resonable. For a couple of days I have had impression there is not reasonable priced restaurant in this area. Here we found it! Also service was exceptionally friendly. On the southern side of the A465 we could not found that. When visiting restaurants, I have last 50 years ate mainly meat or fish. Now this rather humble place gave me over the moon vegetarian experience!

Dropped in for coffee after visiting the Roman Baths just a few steps away. The staff were really friendly and service was excellent; the coffee was wonderfully smooth and full bodied and we managed to eat one of the enormous vanilla slices which had been baked locally. Wished we lived closer ... what's not to like?

Always great food here. Basic but well prepared. Nice atmosphere plus couple of awesome fish tanks. Plenty of variety on the menu

Oh my gosh, our afternoon tea was fabulous! Great selection of sandwiches, the cakes were superb also, lovely soft scones 😘👌🏼 We love the new venue and the staff were great also. All the food and drinks coming out to other customers looked great too, can't wait to go back! I think I will struggle to get a table though, so busy which is great 😃 Many thanks and see you again soon!

Gran lugar que tuvimos que cazar como turistas a la ciudad, perdiéndonos dos veces. ¡La espera valió la pena! Gran café helado, queso a la parrilla era mejor que el Starbucks cinco queso tostado y la opción de añadir mermelada de chile en el lado era un toque encantador. La papilla Nutella se servía en una taza enorme y era como un abrazo caliente (o cwtch! ) e incluso convenció a mi compañero de que la papilla es deliciosa, especialmente con coberturas! Very disappointing. Have been here previously and loved it. Mothers Day lunch was a huge let down. Luke warm roast - only item hot enough was the cauli cheese. Roasties were rubbery and burnt. Dessert was 'Rocky Road' brownie with marshmallows. Not one to be seen. I did point this out and the waitress said oh they are all inside. Nope. More like microwaved choc sponge served hot with cold ice cream that had melted when it got to me. Plus they had all the doors open and it was freezing in there. A real let down

First visit yesterday after recommendation from family. What a lovely place...very impressed with the food..one of us had the full breakfast..the other had the breakfast wrap...both lovely. The decor very nice...friendly atmosphere and the staff very pleasant...Will definitely visit again...well done all .

Not been for a while, ive only just come on here, but it was beautiful, the staff are friendly, the prices are good, the food is nice and they have amazing suveniers, then near it is a beautiful view, love it

Lovely little place, serves really good vegan produce as well as the more traditional meat based products. Vegan pasties particularly good

Can be found in a lovely park beside a lake. Found the service to be very good also the food top marks, the café also boast of a bike repair hut beside it so that's a bonus foe the cyclist.

Exceptionally noisy, and dogs barking. The coffee was ok, the food 'focaccia' was not well constructed, and the warming was very poor; one side was hard as it had been dried out. The chocolate muffin was delicious. Personally, I don't like animals (dogs) where food is being prepared or consumed. The staff was great. I would not have used Coffi Lab had I known it was dog-friendly.

Sin haber estado nunca en el Ship Inn antes de que mi marido y yo decidimos que daríamos el lugar hace poco dadas las críticas de 5 estrellas. 24 / 04 / 2025 . Cuando entramos nos sorprendimos de lo mal que se veía el lugar, con asientos rasgados y manchados, bastante oscuros y sombríos. Esperamos 15 minutos para tomar una copa. Nadie estuvo en el bar durante este tiempo, a pesar de que estaba relativamente ocupado o parecía ocupado, pero luego no es muy grande. La camarera que finalmente apareció estaba sucia y no era acogedora servía flat lager y flat Pepsi. Examiné el menú de orejas de perro y amarillo y me quedé sin inspiración. La 'Cocinera' apareció con su trapo de té sucio colgado sobre su hombro. Dada la presentación del lugar y el personal, decidimos terminar nuestras bebidas y fuimos a otro lugar para dónde. Tal vez la comida habría sido increíble como las críticas parecen retratar, pero la forma en que el lugar se presentó, me siento cuestionado.

I’ve had a few breakfasts from here during the lockdown period; all been good, but this is the first time we did the share box between the 3 of us, my sons of 10 and 8 and me. It worked really well, and was suggested by the lady with whom I spoke. I rang through the order and breakfast arrived 20 minutes later – I live in Aber so free delivery; don’t know what the score is if you live in the surrounding villages. Lovely large pizza style box containing the main items: eggs, bacon, hash browns, sausages, toast; separate to this were: mushrooms, tomatoes and beans all in their own containers. Everything was well wrapped. We also ordered some extra toast. Everything nicely cooked, with very little going to waste. It was nice just placing the food in the middle of the table, and everybody helping themselves. Lovely treat to have during the Easter hols.

The cake was exactly what I had asked for. Not only did it look good it tasted amazing. My daughter loved it. I have already booked another cake for my son's birthday. Would highly recommend booking Blissfull Bakes Ltd for your celebration cakes 🎂 😋.

Exceptional. Couldn’t fault it. Exquisite food. Great service. Wonderful setting. 14 of us went as an end of holiday treat and we not disappointed. The fish of the day was hake and it was incredible. If you want a treat you must go.
