Food was terrible, pies were rock hard. Did have money off the bill and the staff were helpful but whoever was in the kitchen could’ve used the pie crust to play a game of ultimate frisbee. Cracked glass

Went here for the quiz night, fair play it was a really good night we had a good laugh and even though I’m not that intellectual I had a good go, the atmosphere was brilliant and the competitiveness was even better, I’ll definitely be back next Thursday. They had some good drink promotions on too, bottles 3 for £10 cocktails 2 for £10.50

Sat inside and had toasted teacake and coffee. Teacake was large but jam was extra. Found it too noisy. Area for parking very ramshakle with old cars and vans.

Me llevé a mi amigo, que tenía 80 años, para el té de la tarde y estaba decepcionado en lo que teníamos por £ 50 los pequeños sándwiches y pequeños pasteles y 1 bollo y 1 taza de té nunca valía la pena ese dinero.

Excelente lugar para tomar una copa con amigos y el personal de la familia es muy amable limpio y ordenado sin duda volveremos y recomendaremos a amigos y familiares

This spot is good for a casual get together, decent food selection and welcoming atmosphere, would recommend to anyone in the area

Great service really good food, and good value pub food. There is also a car park opposite the pub. Overall we had a really nice night.

Popped in with my mum for a coffee and I must say it was lovely. Fantastic service from the two working. Tegan and a young lad, unfortunately didn’t get his name. What assets to your team they are. Will definitely return☺️

Enjoyed a meal here after a long walk. Staff friendly and service was excellent. We really enjoyed the Indian specials and felt the chicken skewers were good quality meat. Dessert was delicious comfort food. Chips were too greasy for me but didn’t prevent me eating them. Pub grub done well. Will return if in the area.

New Unpleasant experience today.... dreadful service....very rude....popped in intending to have breakfast and a pint....had a look on the app and thought I'd try a porter....went to the bar and asked the server for the beer and was met with "If you can see it I'll pour it". Excellent customer service clearly, the young lady was impolite and obviously didn't have any idea what ales were on offer! Naturally I left without ordering. Be a good while before I shall return. They always seem busy so I guess some servers think bad service is acceptable. I know it's a spoons but I do expect a degree of politeness

Staying at the hotel next door for a wedding but popped in the mackworth arms for drinks however food smelt so good decided to have a meal first. It didn’t disappoint! Pub is so very cosy and welcoming. All the staff were so accommodating when we hadn’t booked but they fitted us in. Food was clearly homemade and delicious! We will be back soon to sample more.

Absolutely superb! I went here with my 2 n half year old son. The 4 staff members made a real fuss of him, chatting to him, pulling funny faces and waving. The chips were lovely and fresh, well cooked and tasty. We ate them in the restaurant area, which was clean and tidy. I have no issues with the price and the portion size was spot-on for both of us. I'll definitely be back and would recommend the chips to all of you!

El mejor barman. Servicio increíble Anthony un tipo de primera Soy miembro del gimnasio y siempre es genial ver a Anthony cuando tiene una pinta en el hotel. Espero que todos los que vienen aquí tengan el placer de ser servidos por Anthony, que es un tipo de primer nivel. Clase absoluta

I’ve been coming here for a number of years, recently the quality of the staff has seriously diminished, they’re just plain rude, unhelpful and have a terrible attitude
