Pret A Manger in Cardiff

I’ve been coming here for a number of years, recently the quality of the staff has seriously diminished, they’re just plain rude, unhelpful and have a terrible attitude

Nice shop, kept clean. Staff quick and friendly. Coffee can be better but that's the beans not the team. The staff here seems great

Awful service know one said they would be closing . Soon as I sat down then I was told .had to go outside freezing cold paid £3.06 . Last time I’ll visit them .

Too expensive, £5 for a macchiato and bottle of sparkling water. Other places are all around the £4.30-£4.50 mark. Paper cups for a sit down place is not really acceptable and environmentally unfriendly. Coffee not made well, too milky and bitter Service was good, lady was good.

Worst service in cardiff on a daily basis from both stores . Worst thing is they don’t eve. Bother to open at the time they should . Over 1hr for both stores should be open but nobody has turned up for work

Your staff really need training, I’ve never once received the drink I ordered, always the wrong milk or wrong drink entirely even after repeating my order back to me. When advising of this a member of staff replied ‘no’ and then turned her back and didn’t acknowledge us again which was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been made to feel in any hospitality setting. Had to leave my drink on the counter and walk out as it was so awkward. Genuinely can’t express enough how bad this place is, please avoid if you have any kind of allergy or intolerance as they really don’t care.

Friendly staff ,nothing is to much trouble. Coffee is top quality. Food is very nice as well. Such a nice place you can sit in there all day and they wouldn't kick you out.

Poor quality and expensive. Just another chain on the high street. Find an independent place instead.

Got asked to leave my table to make room for the “lunch rush”- made me feel very uncomfortable and I won’t be returning sadly

A row of chairs had been lined up sideways to prevent customers entering Pret in Cardiff during Covid-19 restrictions yesterday. These were nowhere near anyone entering, leaving or ordering takeaways and were not inside the restaurant. I moved one chair slightly sideways for my 80 year old mother to sit while I took my granddaughter to the public toilet as there were no other chairs to sit on in this part of the centre. She was immediately ordered to get off the chair in a very rude and abrupt manner by a Pret employee. My mum apologised and explained that she was in pain with her hip but the assistant was dismissive and completely unsympathetic. We made our way back to the John Lewis car park and while walking through the JL store my mum asked an assistant if she could sit on one of their chairs for a minute. Their response was delightful! They couldn’t have been kinder to my mum and she sat for a few minutes without any problem at all. I suggest Pret contact John Lewis for some customer service training as the way their employee spoke to my mum in such a rude and unkind manner was completely unnecessary under any circumstances!

I have been using Pret A Manger for many years and I am a fairly frequent visitor to this café which is located in the “new” shopping mall in Cardiff. Consistent good service, good fresh food in good and comfortable surroundings. Although it is pat of a chain, it feels like a local café.

Pret was clean and tidy on Saturday morning. Nice comfy chairs. Service was unfortunately poor work abrupt unfriendly staff. Seems a common theme at present across the industry. A smile and hello goes a long way. Would not recommend as plenty of other local coffee shops to choose from.

Shopping in town and wanted a snack we went to Pret. The food is alway fresh and tasty! Very quick service! We love it!

Cold coffee mushy croissants dirty tables high prices not sure what else to say it might be busy because it’s Christmas but surely that’s the time to give better service to attract customers to come back

At 11am today, looking to buy lunch for my son and I, was made almost impossible due to empty shelves, rude staff who were pre occupied and clearly saw my questuon as an utter inconvenience. Truly awful experience.

This morning we had a very nice breakfast at Pret A Manger! The food was tasty, coffee delicious and something else was interesting, the staff, they were very friendly and helpful! It is very hard these days to have the staff like that! Well done, keep up the good work!

It fails to impress me when a bar, cafe etc closes part off to stop customers using it. Maybe at the quieter end of the day shortly before closing but at 4pm when the centre is full of shoppers??? Three child seats placed haphazardly and filled orange bin bags designed to prevent customers accessing the area looks cheap and nasty. Then the overwhelming smell of cleaners for the floor and tables... come come Pret this is so not you! Guess the manager is off today.....

Vast improvement in both attitude of staff and quality of food. Staff quite helpful with fair and varied choice of food

Always great service in here! And you always stock enough of my favourite Swedish meatball wraps! Staff are friendly and pleasant, and make a super cup of tea! Also, I haven't seen the lovely Scottish gentleman in a while! I hope he's alright!

being a pret fan is hard as it goes against the fad and craze of the main chains, but there ethics and quality is hard to beat. everything as it should be coupled with the amazing high standard of staff service.
