My daughter took me here for lunch with my 3 year old grandson. The Cafe was quite full. We were told we could add a chair to a table but I felt the tables were very close and as we had a very active 3 tear old we declined. we were then told if we did not mind the cold we could sit outside. This was more suitable for children I felt. Food was lovely tho perhaps a bit expensive but for gluten free price was ok. It's lovely to know you can go into this Cafe and as a celiac order anything you like and know it's safe. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. We will definitely be back but perhaps without child as I don't feel it's a very child friendly space.

5āļø coffee and cake but it was too busy to try any food. Went back in another day and it was the same again. It must mean itās very popular but not so good if you struggle with crowds. The staff were very apologetic so no reflection on the service, just been unlucky I think.

Went on a Wednesday night so it was very quiet. Friendly staff and a good range of beers on tap and to take away

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying Sunday lunch at Billycan, and I have to say it was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, it was the perfect dining experience. The moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately set the stage for a great meal. The service was prompt and friendly, making us feel welcome and well looked after throughout our visit. Now, onto the star of the showāthe Sunday lunch itself. Wow! Every element of the meal was cooked to perfection. The roast meats were incredibly tender, full of flavor, and paired beautifully with all the trimmings. The vegetables were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the Yorkshire puddings were light and crispy, just as they should be. The portions were generous, and you could taste the quality and care in every bite. Itās hard to find a Sunday roast that ticks all the boxes, but Billycan does it flawlessly. If youāre looking for the best Sunday lunch around, this is the place to go. I canāt recommend it highly enough and will be making it a regular spot for Sunday dining! This review focuses on the amazing quality of the Sunday lunch and the overall experience. Let me know if youād like any tweaks!

Friday 22 November 2024 So I took my own advice and a group of us went back to TH Roberts for a scrumptious lunch today. Some of us had a secret recipe "Welsh Rabbit" which was amazing and I had a large piece of Lemon Cheesecake to follow ( there's a massive choice of alternatives) .....what we all had was a great welcome from all the staff, an amusing banter and Welsh hospitality at its finest. Take my advice....just go or you'll miss a real treat Tuesday 19th November 2024 You have to go to TH Roberts when you're in Dolgellau...... The atmosphere is fabulous...it's very quirky stepping back into an older worlde pharmacy shop ....but the coffee and homemade cakes ( I had a massive piece of Rocky Road) are amazing. We then had a soup and cheese scone meal deal which was" unbelievably delicious"

We experienced this lovely cute bistro or resto as the exceptional ONE on our journey! We nearly fell of our chairs when the dishes got served, glanced at it, tried and were blown away of the quality and taste.. The cook and the whole staff did a really great job! So far, we keep your menu and the evening with the nice conversation in good memories. Thank you and see you soon againš

I am a non vegan. I didn't enjoy the burger and facon. Mushroom and bun was nice. The rest of the menu looks good. Will stick to actual vegetables next time. I know many people enjoy meat alternative patty's so don't let it put you off as it's presented well.

Let's get the grumpy stuff out of the way. Whoever had been co-opted to front of house was miserable and accused me of asking for a white wine when I gave her the number of a red one. Then argued with me. When we looked at the menu, of five or six items, only one was still on- beef- which was what we all wanted anyway. It was the best Sunday lunch that I have had for about four years. The meat was succulent, not over-cooked, and the vegetables done to perfection. Tasty gravy and a great Yorkshire pudding. The woman who was keeping an eye on the callow waiting staff was lovely and friendly. A great place. Pannacotta for dessert and Ā£23 for two courses. The place is fantastic. I understand it might be community-run, in which case they should allocate jobs to people who are temperamentally suited to carrying them out. If you want choice, maybe not for you, but a damn fine roast beef.
