Aj's Tavern in Carmarthenshire

Absolutely mouth watering food last night. Everyone enjoyed. We were a party of 17. Atmosphere was great and staff was very welcoming. Definitely see us again. Thankyou for the lovey meals.

Carvery delicious as usual. Didn't order dessert due to the mix-up of my last two orders.

This place uses really good quality ingredients as our first order from them was really nice. We could tell at once the food was going to be good but of course the taste and portion size for the cost is important. We would say 5* s huge thanks

Unfortunately only 1 apple crumble was delivered although 2 were ordered and paid for. Carvery was delicious, as usual.

Ordered the Shepherds Pie with fries and peas. Ample portions and tasty as always.

I paid for curly fries and had standard instead.. never had a bad experience until now

Perfect as usual , the portions are large and I never feel like I have wasted money , a great meal everytime . I also love how they package the food , the sauces are always also wrapped in foil so no leakage happens .

Always an amazing meal from AJs. I normally go for the Halloumi burger but today I tried the cheese and potato pie, and I can honestly say it’s the best pie I’ve ever tried. My husband always gets the blue cheese burger and he’s always so happy with it. Amazing portions, fast delivery and very pleasant delivery driver. 5 stars always

First time we had food from here we went to collect and my husband was absolutely head over heels in love with the blue cheese burger! Tonight we decided to order a delivery and I cannot believe how quickly our food was delivered. I am so impressed, food has always been 10/10 and customer service is out of this world. We will be regular customers, and may even pop in for a cheeky drink one weekend. Last time I had the halloumi burger, and I deffo had my moneys worth of halloumi :D so tasty!

Ordered 3 chicken roast dinners. One chicken breast was inedible as it was too dry. Veggies were under seasoned. Gravy was good. Luke warm on arrival. On the whole just ok

Didnt have food today as kitchen closed on Wednesdays. But had a lovely couple of pints in a relaxed atmosphere, prices very good compared to anywhere else around here, the locals are very friendly and welcoming.

Preordered for 2pm delivery, just eat says it’s delivered but it’s not, rung at 2:30pm to be told it’s on its way, it’s now 2:50pm still no sign of the delivery, it doesn’t take 20mins+ to get to my house. Can’t get a complaint in to just eat about the driver and can’t request a refund either. Never had an issue with the restaurant just the just eat drivers.You should get rid of just eat drivers and have your own reliable drivers as this is putting me off ordering again and we do order regularly

Honestly one of the very few food places that I have never had an issue with! The food is constantly stunning . The burgers are just the best tbh and are huge for price ! The food always comes hot and the drivers always friendly . Trying to try everything on the menu but always end up ordering the bbq ranch burger because it’s so amazing . Will always order from here because it’s never missed the mark on taste or service . 5* .

What a great local and so welcoming and friendly. Its off the beaten track, but an absolute hidden gem for anyone who loves proper local working class boozers. There is a sign inside the pub stating:we are all nuts here, you are welcome which was spot on.

I am a fan of the cod at AJ Tavern , but the pizza is appalling ! The base was homemade , not Italian obviously , and was merely thick bread spread with a little amount of tomato. For an extra pound there was a choice of one addition only to the pizza. I ordered extra cheese thinking that there would be a minimal amount of cheese. This was not the case ! A bland , tasteless load of bread , without any taste of tomato , and too much cheese ! I have wasted my five stamps on a rubbish pizza !

Best place to go for home cooked food, Every meal is outstanding 👌

This was our first time ordering from AJ's and the food was lovely! We received very generous portions, all the meals were tasty and we look forward to tucking into the leftovers! The delivery driver was very nice too, a very pleasant experience all round, 10/10 would recommend!

I ordered a chicken roast dinner from AJ’s Tavern. The vegetables were over cooked and bland, the stuffing balls had a weird taste and the roast potatoes were terrible and seemed like they were made using tinned potatoes. The gravy had no flavour in fact the only it tasted tasted of was the cardboard container it came in. The cauliflower cheese sauce was very smooth and silky but likOverall everything was very bland, this was a shame as AJ’s tavern came very highly recommended by people I know.

Breakfast was good apart from the Sausages were rock hard and pretty inedible, dog enjoyed them though

ordered 3 meals faultless once again the food is the best around always hot and alwys big portions.

Macaroni was lush! Ordered a loaded chips and tikka , and chips was lush all hot but the tikka/curry taste like a massive blob of tomato sauce 😕so couldn't eat it

The most amazing food I have eaten. Love it!

Really enjoyed my cod in particular - the fish was cooked to perfection - moist and tasty - in a light and crispy beer batter. The meal was delivered hot - no need to re-heat. The fries and peas were fine - like all fries and peas no problem. I highly recommend AJ’s cod in batter. Thanks for a lovely meal.

I don’t normally complain as I eat here regularly and it’s always lovely and can never fault it but today I ordered loaded fries and just had a box of fries and no madras.I also ordered a hickory burger which was perfect but just so disappointed about the loaded fries.didn’t know if I should ring the restaurant or not.
