Great stay at a delightful historic pub. Comfy room, delicious steak dinner, hearty breakfast with excellent coffee. Special thanks to Ella for her energy, hospitality, and good cheer. A special place indeed!

Lovely food, great coffee and the atmosphere is relaxing.

What a find on a day trip to Mumbles. We lived the welcome, the staff, the happy moving of tables to accommodate us, the flipping epic menu and the gorgeous coffees. We spent a long time relaxing here and felt really well taken care of. Couldn’t recommend more. Parking was a ball ache but make sure you plan in a visit.

This pub is a must visit if your in the area friendly locals and dog friendly also. A great range of drinks to choose from and an the menu is great had an amazing pie and mash with minted mushy peas. I was full to the brim and prices is great to will definitely visit again.

There’s not enough words to describe how unbelievable our special day at lakeside was. From the very first visit we fell in love with the venue. Every detail in every corner took our breath away. Lou is simply one of the most amazing people we’ve ever met! From our very first meeting she made everything run so smoothly and was always there when we needed her she truly is one of a kind. Both Lou and the team went beyond our expectations for our special day and all of our guests couldn’t help but compliment not just the gorgeous venue and all the detail but the dream team delivering our day who all made and effort to interact and assist all of our guests in whatever way they could. When they say “your day your way” they’re not wrong !! Everything we asked for was made possible especially with lous extensive list of vendors who are all lovely !! We had the posh BBQ and wow it was something else all of our guests loved it!! The Welsh cakes, brownies and strawberries were a massive hit and so was the dessert table !! I can’t recommend lakeside enough Lou, Carl, Ayesha and the whole team make it one of the most magical experiences you could imagine! From keeping me hydrated to keeping the day on track they have everything covered! Can’t wait to come back and visit … and look for another excuse to have an event here!!! We will forever be grateful for the most magical memories you’ve helped to create ❤️

Although we went In for a coffee and the toilet..there not equipped for disabled as the toilet is upstairs. Apart from that coffee was spot on service was good

Always try to call in here when in Abergavenny. Lovely vibe in here, background music. Fantastic coffee and always a different selection of interesting cakes (though would be nice to have some not too heavy on the icing). Look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic breakfast, local produce well cooked and amazing value for money. Open early on a Sunday which was a bonus.

Highly recommend food at this community cafe and pub, next door to each other. Didn't manage to get a drink in the pub as a big coach party arrived just before us. Wish I'd taken a photo of the most amazing homemade steak and Guinness pie with chips, peas and gravy. It was tremendous. Melt in the mouth meat locally sourced from the brilliant butcher in Llangneffni (also recommended) and lovely service with a smile. Feels like a well loved community asset and all the very best of luck to the team; family run and cared about. Support it if you can.

I visited the establishment for breakfast during my recent holiday, as it had been recommended to me. The experience was exceptional, and I highly recommend it. I intend to return on my next visit to the area.☺️
