Great food and service, so much choice. Good atmosphere.

I was excited to visit as the reviews were all so good. Not a fan of fake meat products and there were a lot of these on the menu so I was a bit put off by this, however the avocado on toast seemed a good option. I was wrong. It was 3 slices of what tasted like supermarket white bread toast with a tiny smear of avocado on each piece, scattered with some seeds and some very unripe sliced cherry tomatoes. Definitely not an item worth going back for! The atmosphere could be very nice with the addition of a load more plants, right now it seems very stark, in my opinion. Also whilst I do like children, I don’t really like my waitress serving my food/drinks with a baby on her hip. Staff were nice and friendly, but you can get excellent vegan options elsewhere.

Went to No 18 cafe "again" today and it is our 3rd time in the last week. Wanted to take our girls there to try out their really tasty food at really affordable prices (something you don't see to much of these days). We was greeted by baby Nia who was such a delight and full of smiles and high fives the girls made a new friend! 😊 Would highly recommend No 18 Cafe, the service is friendly and quick and thier panko tofu bowl was delicious! Their selection of cakes and treats are hard to choose from as they all look so good. Will definitely be going again "this week" 😋 Keep up the great work guys. 👍

Delicious food, great varied menu, really good value. Something for everyone. Kid approved by my 4 year old! Lovely friendly staff. Neat and clean with lovely decor. Highly recommend.

Delicious vegan food! Lots of interesting options and great to see that Swansea has somewhere like this.

A lovely find. We were in Swansea for the weekend and looked up Vegan eating places. It was a bit of a walk out of the main shopping street, but totally worth it. The menu is vast, with a good range of flavours. Portion sizes are good. Service very friendly. We ordered from the lunch menu, but I really like that breakfast style items (sausage sandwiches etc) are available til 2pm. We visited with kids who enjoyed it too.

I really like it here, it's a nice relaxed vibe. The toasted sandwiches are really nice in particular

Went here twice with my wife during a short break in Swansea and enjoyed it for the most part. My wife had Tofish and chips, I had a Burger and chips on one occasion, and we both had no-egg mayo baguette for lunch another day which was all very nice. The only niggles were the seating wasn't that comfortable and extra ketchup was another 50p which was a little surprising considering the price of the food, but overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend it. UPDATE: The business has now changed hands since our last visit and offers very little in comparison to the previous owners. It's very odd to take over a much loved eatery with a great menu and change it to a very basic menu. Also, probably not a good idea to let your staff wear a t shirt with an 'SS' emblem emblazoned on the back ? Like I said, very odd indeed ! We won't be returning, shame UPDATE NO.2 In reply to your reply. I didn't accuse anyone of being a member of the Nazi party, but hey, guess what, a good idea might be to NOT wear SS insignia ! it's insulting to everyone who fought for this country and especially Jewish people, as you may or may not know. This is a straight up lie regarding your staff member being shaken up, as I didn't raise my voice once. My wife used your WC before we had found out about your 'sympathies' but I certainly never did, and that's the 2nd lie ! Lie No.3 Of course we looked at the menu, it's a restaurant isn't it ? That's when we discovered that the business had changed hands, unfortunately for the worse. I think it is you, woke business owner, who should think more carefully before 'hurling accusations ' at your customers and then lying about this whole episode. I don't normally have time to waste on people like you but here's some advice: Contact the previous owners and ask them for some of their recipes, that way you'll have a better business model. That's constructive criticism from a disappointed former customer

First time at No18 though been planning to visit for ages. We had the Clwb Brecwast and the Berry Waffles, both were delicious! For me the best part of the clwb brecwast had to be the beans, they were so well flavoured and absolutely delicious :) Can't wait to visit again to try more of their menu!

We had a really delicious poke bowl and falafel bowl. Fresh ingredients, great taste, who needs meat?!

Not a vegan , but thought I'd give this place a go. Not disappointed food was so tasty, I'll definitely come back.

The best vegan cafe I have ever been to! Amazing tofu bacon and the full breakfast was so filling. Everything was wonderful and they also have incredible coffee. Could not recommend this place enough!

Visited for the first time under the new owners and the space looks great. We only stopped for a quick breakfast bite but will be back to try out the rest of the menu.

I ordered homemade smokey beans on toast, which was delicious. The flat white coffee with oat milk was so tasty that I had a second cup.

Good place for vegan and GF options. Excellent oat milk latte. We had a plant based Reuben and a gluten free avocado on toast. Both were amazing. I would travel quite a ways for this sandwich!

Nic vegan offer. Reasonable prices. Food I had was good. I will return

Fantastic little vegan cafe. Brilliant good, coffee and service. Great vibe with lovely staff. I travelled all the way from Conwy to Swansea by bike and this place was where I decided to celebrate!

Everything was amazing. We had such a good lunch there that we had to come back for breakfast the next day. The toasted sandwiches are incredible, the breakfasts are delicious and the staff are all super friendly. They have so many tasty looking options on the menu we’ll definitely be going back the next time we’re nearby.

We ended up visiting twice during our mini moon to Mumbles and Swansea, and we weren't disappointed! We had the chicken and waffles and then the hash brown stack as our last meal before heading home. All the ingredients were so fresh and the bakun was homemade thick and crisp - absolutely delicious and nutritious! We were really happy with the service and the staff are lovely, too!

This is advertised as dog friendly yet we were “ ejected” half way through our meal by the rude manager/ owner even though our lovely waitress had served us knowing we had our dog with us. We were told to take our food outside mid chew! We were embarrassed by the scene she made but carried our plates, side dishes and drinks outside. We were too upset to finish our meals. I explained to her before we left that we were too upset to finish our meal. She said she was “ sorry you feel that way” . No refund. I’d never return again. 👎🏻

Love the new look of the place and the wide choice on the new menu! On my first time in I had the hash brown stack with a side of avocado 10/10 would recommend. The coffee is also delicious and the prices are very reasonable, will be back often thanks guys!

Went in for a late lunch whilst taking my youngest for a driving lesson. Lovely food and very good coffee. We will definitely make it a stop off in the future. I had the Falafel bowl and they had the Margarita Toastie. Both very tasty. If I had one critique it would be the prices but that won’t stop us returning as it’s high quality and a nice atmosphere.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, food was delicious and staff were lots of help with providing recommendations. I was sceptical of the fish finger sandwich, but it ended up being so much better than I could have imagined. Chips were also cooked very fresh, definitely had the home cooked vibe

First visit here. Whilst there was a good selection of meals, I felt there was too much of an emphasis on the 'fake' meat. Would have liked to have seen a vegan curry, chilli, lasagne or a pie on menu. Food we ordered was nice, as were the coffees and especially the cakes! I would say that meals are slightly overpriced though. Paying 8.50 for a burger and an extra £5 for chips was a bit much.

Tasty wide range of savoury food. I've been here before for savoury food and I'm very fond of their Tofish and Chips, which I think is a favourite from the looks of other reviews. I also love that they provide vegan versions of 'normal' foods. However, I went back with my partner who has a mild allergy / intolerance. She asked the staff what they had that she could eat and got such a hostile response from one particular member of staff that I couldn't believe it! Firstly the member of staff spoke to my partner like she was an idiot for thinking they might have anything she could eat. My partner then asked for an allergy matrix or some further ingredients information. At first the waitress said yes, but then rather then providing us with the information we had requested, she came back and told us grumpily that there were nothing she could eat and asked if she was going to order or not. Sadly by this point I had already ordered so we couldn't just leave. I then heard the same member of staff make an unpleasant comment about a customer to a co-worker which is a massive no! As someone who's worked in customer service myself I couldn't believe it! And I felt so awful for dragging my partner there. She was in tears afterwards. Anyway, the food is great but I would avoid like the plague if you have any allergies because they are not respectful about it. I don't think I'll go again after that.

A very welcoming and friendly place to eat. We have been twice as a family and have so far tried the English breakfast, Sunday dinner, Budda bowl, burgers, hot dog sausages and chips. We all enjoyed it - even my fussy eater! There is also a wide selection of snacks and desserts. The staff is happy to adjust meals to our requests and even gave us tips on preparing vegan dishes. The meals are delicious and filling, making this an easy choice for a vegan meal out.

Came here with kids for some late breakfast on Sunday morning, we've had pancakes with fruit and smoothies. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try full vegan breakfast as it looked delicious.

We visited this lovely vegan eatery for our pre- race meal before the Swansea Half Marathon. We were made to feel welcome straight away by the friendly staff. The food is excellent, l enjoyed the Tofufish, marvellous, and my wife had the double " Cheese" burger. Good thing we were both running the next day as we both left feeling full. Ran our fastest time for a couple of years the next day as a result! Must have been the food and not the fact that the course is virtually flat! So in summary friendly staff, great food and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Lovely food and service, definitely try the tofish and chips. I've taken meat eaters here and they've still enjoyed the food here a lot. Only one small criticism: when they ask you if you want mayo etc they often forget to tell you it'll be extra money, so make sure to ask beforehand :) (understandable that they charge for mayo as it's homemade and delicious though)

Canteen 18 scores highly for its atmosphere and the warmth of the people running it. It offers a fair range of vegan dishes, including delicious cakes, ice cream, and savory items. Non-vegans can get by on a (non-meat) spicy rib roll or southern fried chicken burger. There is a pretty good selection of drinks (understandably no draft beer due to COVID-restricted opening hours), and the wine in particular is excellent value. If I have a constructive comment it is that Fliss should widen the menu beyond brunch (which isn't good for the waistline) and salads to include curries and other pulse or nut-based dishes. The cafe would then come close to perfection.

Popped in with my vegan pal for a bit of scran and a tinny. Absolutely banging, breakfast was delectable and I'm not even a vegan. Cracking local beers available. 10/10 will scran again.

First time visiting here. Really lovely and cosy place. Ordered the chicken burger and chips. The chicken piece was massive and covered with good crunchy breadcrumbs. The chips were crunchy, light and fluffy. Ordered a water and was given a glass and a bottle of water which is a nice touch. As a bonus, the people working there are lovely and friendly as well. Highly recommended and I will certainly be going back there.

We had chocolate Oreo milkshake while we waited for our takeaway, which was amazing with a brownie dunked on top! Tofish and chips was incredible, as was the double cheese burger, both of which were great portion sizing and great value for money. The curry sauce was so good it’s almost drinkable! Thank you so much for an awesome meal!

Lovely place, with really helpful staff, had the burger and fries which was just ok, I'd rate the food we had as a 6/10. So i'd visit again but wouldn't have the same thing to eat.

Great place . I searched on Google and gave the place a call . The lady gave me directions . When got there she was so friendly and welcoming. Gave me info on things and chatted to me to. . Its people like this witch brings me back to a place. Lovley food good prices chilled and relaxed. . Was chairs outside to. . Went again the next day The latte I had with hazelnut was Lovley . Better then costa . Just proves u don't need milk . Had nice food again as u can see in photo will be coming back

Stopped here around half 12 and ordered 2 cooked vegan (late) breakfasts (£8.50 pp) and hot chocolate drinks. Plenty of items inc in breakfast - sausage, rashers of bacon, black pudding, baked beans, tomato, mushrooms fresh spinach leaves, 2 hash browns, vegan style scrambled "eggs" & seeded slice of toast with spread. Very tasty, nicely presented and a relaxing atmosphere. Covid restrictions in place. The only negatives are - we waited an hour until the food arrived even though the cafe wasn't particularly busy at the point of ordering - the lady there was apologetic though (I think they were busy with pre orders for takeaway) & parking can sometimes be an issue in/around Brynmor Road.

This was a great find not far away from the dog friendly beach. Lovely place. We enjoyed our lunch very much. It was worth the wait <3

Visited with my son whose vegan. He has enjoyed full breakfast and on this occasion the pancakes with syrup and fruit and smoothie I had toasted tea cakes and coffee. Huge selection of food, friendly staff. Will go back.

Whether you're after a green and healthy buddha bowl or a filthy rib roll with chunky chips followed by rich chocolate cake and icecream canteen 18 has got you covered

Found this cafe googling vegan cafes in Swansea, it was well worth tracking down. Good choice of vegan options like Buddha bowls and tofu and chips, I was after a light snack so opted for the rib roll which was tasty seitan in a roll with salad. Great coffee too.

So my last review of this place was based upon the unknown - a place we had not visited before - me as a very suspicious potential vegan - a semi blinkered mind looking for a full English. Now and many visits later including this afternoon I can say once again Wow and How. The Sunday lunch was superb - the welcome warm and open and as a cherry on the cake the dessert (cake and brandy sauce shared with my wife - unfortunately as it turned out lol) was stunning. Well done - I hope the changes you have planned work out am sure they will and we will continue to visit our favourite vegan restaurant.

You better be hungry, but damn it's tasty.
