Always a friendly service and lovely coffee.

Nice coffee shop with a good food offer. Order at the counter with table number and wait for it to be served at the table. They had cream to go with my Americano and the cheddar mozzarella tomato sourdough was very nice. Second visit and we now have a loyalty card. We will be back.

We visited for some lunch today on the back of a recommendation from a local shopkeeper. I’m a regular visitor to the Mumbles and haven’t been to your place before. It has a lovely atmosphere, nice decor and a good menu. My friend had a Buddha bowl and my mum had a sausage roll. They both enjoyed theirs. I have coeliac disease and fancied a bacon sandwich. It was good except for the bread which fell to pieces making it difficult to eat. Bacon was good though!. Can I suggest that you consider a better bread option? A gf roll would work much better and I know that M&S have some good ones! Small things like this really matter to us coeliacs. We would’ve also had coffee and cake but as there wasn’t anything I could have we decided to move on. 😏 I’m sure it’s difficult thinking about a menu that caters for all and well but I’m sure it’s possible. Enjoyed my smoothie too. Thanks 🙏🏽

We popped in for a tea, latte and some cakes. We had an almond croissant and a strawberry/white chocolate stuffed donut. They were incredible. Because it was so delicious, we went back again and had a teriyaki pork sausage roll and a sweet potato and kale sausage roll. Then we had some homemade banana bread and a chocolate and almond cookie. The food is genuinely brilliant. It was lovely to see that there were different choices in the bakery each time we go in - so everything is freshly made and it is exciting to see what will be on offer next. There is plenty of seating, with both downstairs and upstairs available. It is a cosy, sweet place, with a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It is dog friendly as well which is great! We are planning to go back again! One of our favourite places that we’ve found in Mumbles.

What a relaxing atmosphere.great coffee .

Our second full day in Mumbles started with a more leisurely stroll around the village centre, and we stopped here for a coffee. The café is more relaxing than a CostaBucks, with a total absence of brand-dominated uniformity and prepackaged foodstuffs. There was a slightly chaotic, homely feel here, with mixed furnishings including comfy deep, sink-into sofas. It was very busy which was testament to the good coffee served here. With 20-odd coffee shops in the village centre, the choice of cafés serving coffee is plentiful; so the competition must be fierce. We managed to get a comfy sofa to ourselves which had a traditional low coffee table in front of it. From there you could see the busy servery and a balcony above providing high stools and tables for people to work on computers. There was strangely (we thought) a second servery behind us diagonally across from the main servery. It was only when we left and walked around the café exterior that we saw that this servery dispensed the take-aways. There was food on sale with breakfast and lunch meals plus all-day snacks like pastries, scrummy-looking sausage rolls, and cakes. The coffee was really good and had the burnt caramelised flavour that we look for. A very pleasant experience and one we will look to visit again when in Mumbles.

The coffee is very good.. best in the area however I feel they need to work more on their customer service skills. No acknowledgment sometimes when waiting by counter to order takeaway when hatch is shut.

Such a lovely atmosphere and space, really love how the space is laid out. Had a delicious sausage roll and cornbread muffin - the staff on till sadly weren’t overly welcoming, and gave us a really dirty glass for water. Ordered a Flat white 10/10 and double espresso 2/10. Would definitely come back, and fingers crossed the espresso will be better 🤞

Absolutely wonderful! My friends and I stayed nearby for a few days and went to Mumbles Cafe every morning. We were always greeted by friendly staff and other patrons and enjoyed the coffee and food so much! A very special place!

In 4x one sentence- great coffee. Delicious food prepared freshly. Service was great! Always appreciative of baby changing facilities. One door one toilet. Large gap between floor and door meaning you can hear the flush! Loo paper good. Well done team

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Mumbles Coffee today. Enjoyed a delicious almond croissant and a flat white, both of which were of a very high standard. Staff are very friendly, the cafe is spacious, and there are plenty of food options on offer. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely café, friendly welcoming staff and the best coffee I have had for a very long time. Lovely pastries, perfectly fresh and the cakes looked amazing.

Looking for somewhere dog friendly for Jaspy Bach and I to have lunch, I chanced upon Mumbles Coffee. Lovely, comfortable, and welcoming place. The menu choices were great, and I decided upon a croissant stuffed with cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. I received fabulous service throughout, with my food arriving hot and smelling lovely. I also had a cup of tea, which was perfectly presented. The only downside was the rather questionable state of the toilets, which were unpleasant and messy. This was, I think, due to a busy service. However, I am able to forgive this because of the busy late morning and lunch service.

Worked remotely here (and went a few times for lunch/breakfast) while in Mumbles for a week. Great atmosphere, good working space and really nice pastries, coffee and sandwiches (the pasta del nata and goats cheese toasties in particular were ace).

Here's something that can't be bought: attitude. This hidden gem of a coffee shop has it aplenty, and I'm writing about the ++positive++ attitude of the lovely people that work there, which really makes this an extra special place to visit.

Nice cafe,good service,plenty of tables. Ground floor so mobility issues you should be ok. Never used the toilets so no idea what they are like, but everything else was clean. Few outside tables. Tucked away a little. Worth a try.

Disappointed by the pastry on the tarts, the coffee was good though.

Myself, my wife and our dog visited this lovey establishment on a day trip to Mumbles. Upon entering, the coffee shop was busy which is always a good sign. The decor was really nice and we felt relaxed straight away. The food was delicious and just the right size. ( my wife recommends the peanut butter sourdough with fruit and honey) The staff were very friendly and the service was very prompt. We will definitely revisit Mumbles coffee when we are next in the area, and would recommend anybody reading this review to do the same.

Nice fresh food and great coffee

Firstly , the atmosphere in the coffee shop is so relaxing and enjoyable. This was our first visit and will certainly be back for more ! Really pleased to have found a nice coffee shop with good quality coffee that I can also take my dog to. I have to say a special thank you for keeping the price of coffee reasonable. This is really appreciated by customers. Will be returning . Diolch !!!

We came here 2 yrs ago and returned today to see a wonderful, quirky place. The industrial theme gives it a modern relaxed atmosphere. The original floor ads character. We were really impressed. Cakes were scrumptious, great service, happy staff. We won't wait 2 years to return xx Good luck to the new owners, keep doing what you're doing. Love Karen and Mark Merthyr Tydfil.

Excellent coffee and pastries. Always busy, but never feels overcrowded. Lovely, friendly staff with good knowledge of their products.

NB the address is incorrect, there is another cafe in the arcade but it's not Mumbles Coffee. This cafe has moved around the corner, 50m away. We had 2 items, toasted sourdough with mozzarella and avocado plus fritatta. Both were clearly very fresh with distinctive flavours, really first class. The flat whites were excellent although the cups were too thick and too small. There was more room than in the previous premises but, unlike their earlier venue, the ambience was definitely lacking. The main seating area was cool and severe with a concrete floor. It would benefit from a major upgrade to make it "softer" and more inviting. We didn't see the seating area upstairs. We would go there again, but for the food and coffee, not for the ambience.

We have supported Mumbles coffee and visited the Kiosk on both a Saturday and Sunday after our dog walk . We have always found the staff excellent friendly and the service and coffee very good .We missed the 9am deadline for pastries at the kiosk so we went to order in the new cafe I approached the counter and asked for 3 Take out coffee's to be pointed at by the Barista assistant and told to wait a minute in a rude manner the next assistant then approached from the kitchen took our order for our coffee ☕ and cakes a breath of fresh air she was so efficient and friendly . We asked for extra hot and not too much froth please on the coffee to be told by the Barista assistant I do know how to make a Latte but obviously seeks some assistance in customer service. We were all very disappointed with the attitude at Mumbles coffee and qustikned what we did wrong to recieve this srvice maybe a Retraining programme needed on Customer service will help as recommendations from your existing customers could become less

This review relates directly to The Kiosk at the arcade entrance and not the shop Waited today NYE 11:15am for over 12 minutes before we walked off whilst the staff member (young lady) made 3 coffees for a regular… I concluded this as they discussed every topic under the sun… including how busy the new cafe was, the owners not working directly as they now doing more admin etc…not once did the staff member engage with me in eye contact but completely ignored me/my wife … no one else was waiting/no passing pedestrians so not hard to miss! We have frequented the kiosk on numerous occasions (we are regular visitors to Mumbles)… but I would strongly recommend that the owners invest time in customer awareness/engagement training … I very rarely mention this next bit…but I am a catering consultant who mobilises a number of catering operations annually so well versed in and qualified to write this….

Baked eggs with Serrano ham very tasty, however the eggs were well overcooked. Coffee very good. Environment brilliant albeit a little bit too rammed.

I’ve visited the microlot many times. Great coffee, lovely decor. The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly. Well done all!

Cozy and quality! To begin, the staff were lovely upon arriving and were accommodating to any requests available (oat milk available), so definitely 5 star service for me! Everyone is lovely and makes sure your experience is as superb as possible. The Mumbles Coffee really holds up its name for one of (if not the) best coffee shop in Swansea, with the coffees being an excellent rich flavour that priorities coffee over milk (however I’m sure you could ask for more milk if wanted!) and not to mention the hot chocolate - it has to be one of the best I’ve ever had second to only a couple. To finish off, the soup of the day was delicious (Sweet potato and Chilli) and was definitely above my standard. Two coffees and the soup came to around £11, so the price is definitely affordable also! Thank you for your lovely service, the food and beverages were excellent and I can’t wait until I’m down mumbles way to sit in for awhile again!

Edit: used to be 5 stars but they stopped doing pourovers and recently coffee has tasted bitter, like it's not freshly ground. Food and cakes still really nice. Update: changed to 5 stars. good supply of fresh beans from different locations. Good main, decaf and guest hoppers.

We visited Mumbles Coffee on Thursday and we have to say we were disappointed. You obviously are so confident that your clientèle from your last coffee shop will continue to support you that you're not bothering to try very hard to attract new customers.  When we arrived we were not greeted and not one member of staff made eye contact. So we found a table. It was not clear we had to order from the counter, so we sat there like lemons for several minutes until we realised what the system was. Our table was wet. When we mentioned this to a staff member she replied "that's because I've just sprayed it", but she hadn't bothered or forgotten to dry it. Instead she should have said--- I'm sorry I'll just dry that for you--- The service from the counter was very slow and two customers were asked to move out of the way because the assistant was serving my partner. He thought that unnecessary and rude to the other customers. Also the young lady in question was spending her time eating and drinking when not trying to serve your customers.  The toilet was a disgrace, pee on the seat the rim and the floor and the shelf holding the hand lotion was dirty.  Several staff members were present surely one of them should have have responsibility to keep an eye on the cleanliness toilet. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Just tried to visit the new cafe with my disabled mother in a wheelchair. Two steep steps down and an unusable moveable ramp. Disgraceful that a newly fitted out cafe doesn't adequately cater for the disabled

A lovely coffee shop in the place of the old Coffee Den. Service was great, place is decked out nicely. Could do with some more options for snacks to go with coffee.

I preferred the old cafe in the arcade, the new cafe is loud & you cannot escape all the dogs, in wet weather the smell is not pleasant. The coir rugs on the concrete floor are ugly, unnecessary & and a real hazard with curled up edges, an accident waiting to happen. The cafe feels cold and the tables are too close together. When there is a queue everyone is in everyones way, maybe if the big new bar seating area was removed there would be more room, it’s relatively pointless as it stands. Luckily the coffee and cakes are good, definitely room for improvement.

Always busy, and staff are nice. It can be quite noisy, which is the only reason I can think of to explain that when i order a "pot" of tea, I mostly end up with a mug? They do offer to swap it, in fairness but by then the moment has passed, and I'd rather the pot in the first place. Only a very small thing i know, but detail is hey in business.

Lovely spot, it was very busy we did have to wait for a table to be free but the coffee was great, my son had the granola which was huge and the leftovers were delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The mezzanine would be lovely to work from but just a tad too busy for me.

Exceptional coffee. THE BEST coffee in Swansea end of story. Staff are exemplary and extremely patient, given the fact they are absolutely packed almost every day. Which is a testament for how great this place really is. Faultless.There’s also the fact that Mumbles is full of difficult to please, pretentious, and mostly rude people, who can be difficult on the best of days. This place consistently delivers a 10/10. Food, service, the whole shebang. Kudos.

We wish we could come here every day for coffee but on days off it's our absolute essential. The coffee is amazing... always consistent and the atmosphere is warm and never pretentious. Love this place and it's people!

This is one of my favourite coffee shops - there is a lovely friendly atmosphere and the coffee and food is very tasty. I highly recommend it! We go there all the time and love it. We also enjoy visiting Microlot - the smaller Mumbles coffee shop where it is very light and you can watch the world go by.

I hear they are moving premises further up the road. I wish them well.

The absolute best coffee in all of Wales, and exceeded my high “Melbourne” expectations. All the staff were so lovely and attentive, and Jane made me feel right at home. Will absolutely come again!

It never occurs to me to write a review of Mumbles Coffee, because I go there almost every day, but I suddenly realised that this was remiss. I go there, day in, day out, for the unfailingly superb coffee and (similarly unfailingly) lovely staff. The service is impeccable, friendly and attentive without being annoying. The owners have created a family atmosphere and ethos which permeates down to all staff. I can’t recommend it more highly.

Best Flat White I've in the UK to date (on holiday from NZ). Stopped in here for lunch after completing some of the coastal track. Super friendly and great service. Flat white was perfect for me. In a ceramic cup, not too big, not too small. Not too hot or bitter and well blended with some nice art. Food was also very good if on the small side - peanut butter on Sourdough with fruit, much better than it sounds!

Bought a cup of coffee at hatch and when I got home there was not even half a cup of coffee there ! They have even put up the price for less coffee! Won’t buy again , better off going to Boo’s around the corner and get a better tasting coffee and a full cup.

Lovely little coffee shop, really busy but quick service on drinks was good with an understandable wait for avocado on sourdough and cheese on toast. We'll worth seeking out.

OK, it was a busy Saturday morning, but I would still have liked a clean table to sit at, and slightly speedier service. There was a very limited choice of cakes, though the one I had was delicious. Some were uncovered on the counter - not really a hygienic practice, so I didn't even consider those. Staff were all very pleasant.

This place looks lovely from the outside but in regards to the reviews that say this place is dog friendly it isn’t!! Walked over after seeing we could bring the dog via the reviews and was told we could not sit inside only in the arcade out front. Very disappointing.

Very very very very good! Shuts relatively early from memory, but, nonetheless I have always enjoyed it there. Up there with the best.

It is a hit and miss. Sometimes it is just too busy, sometimes you be the odd wrong thing, sometimes you need to remind staff. Staff - the youth - needs to be trained and they are improving, they are doing their best. There is an additional step at least to make customer satisfaction go to 5 stars. The water dispenser should be much bigger I thing and easily refillable - wheel we I come it is either gone or empty. 😔Would be great to add some noise reduction items into the room - could be on the ceiling - would make whole space more pleasant to have a chat.

Quaint little coffee shop hidden in the arcade. Plenty of free on street parking available nearby and fairly reasonable prices charged. Food menu looks lovely and we’ll definitely return to try the breakfast menu. Ordered an oat milk cortado which was made quickly and nicely presented.

A wonderful cafe serving the best coffee in the Mumbles and lovely food. The best thing about this place, however, is the staff and the service. They were so lovely and extremely accommodating to us, and it's clear to see why this place is so loved by locals! (Make sure you try a pain au chocolat!)

If only I'd found this coffee shop earlier in my stay! Great coffee and service and a lovely atmosphere. When I visited it was busy but I loved the fact that there was someone near the door to direct you to a table.

Usually pretty good but service and quality goes out the window when they are busy. Waited over 20 mins for a takeout coffee (hatch was shut) when it finally came it was not none diary as ordered. Came back to return it, senior staff clearly stressed were rude and gave no apology and had to wait for another 10 mins to get the coffee. Mistakes happen but they should know to expect it to be busy on a Saturday and perhaps invest in another coffee machine and more staff. Also, an apology would have gone a long way, not just claiming you apologised twice when you didn't!

Place to chill and enjoy a drink and a snack, lovely cheese on toast with red onion. Definitely not for those in a rush
