Mumbles Coffee in Swansea

Celebrating the last morning of our holiday, we went out for breakfast and stumbled across this small, independent coffee shop - and how lucky were we! The staff were all incredibly friendly and the menu nice and varied. Coffee, juice and food all arrived in a timely manner and was exquisite. I can see why this rates so highly on TripAdvisor!

Was looking to recharge after a couple of days walking, very good menu to choose from and the coffee is super.

Simply but very nicely decorateds, very friendly, outstanding coffee, deserves everyone's support. If we lived locally, we'd be regulars. Seriously, try the coffee.

We are regular holiday visitors to this area and spotted this on our last (short) visit but hadn't time to stop. It was on our list to try this year and we were very pleased with what we found. Tucked away in the Castleton Walk Arcade it has made good use of space for the main coffee shop and has a kiosk near the arcade entance for pick up of orders if you are in a hurry. Well priced, comfortable environment with effective use of indoor and arcade space, nice range of beverages and tempting pastires etc. I particularly liked the coconut bread. I would also like to give a shout out to the staff. Very well organised in the current situation, extremely pleasant and efficient and the establishment has plenty of staff on duty to ensure quick and efficient service. Any similar establishment could take lessons from how this place is run. We will certainly be back on our next visit to the area and would be regular customers if we lived locally.

Tasty healthy food, nicely served. Great coffee and selection of tasty looking cakes (sorry no sweet tooth 😆). Friendly and helpful stuff. Strongly recommend!

I stumbled upon this lovely independent coffee house after it was shut but a peruse of the menu had me looking forward to coming back the next day for brunch.Very well controlled re covid, tables well spaced, hand sanitizer avail, tracking in action and a 1 way system with a greater on arrival.I had the smashed avo with feta, a firm kiwi favourite, and an iced latte. The order arrived in good time, was well presented, fresh and tasty ingredients.The team of young servers were all well presented, polite, professional and cheery, well choreographed by the barista from behind his machine.I dined solo but was made to feel very welcomed and not a hindrance as some cafes do, nice to be treated as a valued paying custoner.I would highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again when next in the mumbles, if I were a local resident this would be my number 1 choice to eat out.

We popped in with our daughter for lunch. The staff were so welcoming to us all and even cut up the cheese on toast so she could eat it. The coffee was amazing as were the salads and sweet treats. Would totally recommend this place. It has a great atmosphere only a few minutes from the water front.

Called here with my partner last week for coffee and toast and received warm, friendly and attentive service. The coffee and toast was pretty damn good too! Looking forward to another visit!

Always good coffee Always good coffee albeit a little cold. Like to support local businesses even though they allow dogs. Today however service was abysmal.

A lovely little coffee house whose coffee is really good - though order some hot water with it as it is very strong. Food is inventive and very nice and is the perfect place for a sandwich or salad lunch.

Very average. Clearly a popular place as it was very busy but wasn’t impressed at all. The smoothie was basically weak flavoured milk, the most un smoothie I’ve ever had! Cake was nice hence the 3 stars. Will not be back.

Been there twice with my family, best filter coffee I’ve ever had. Cosy place but very busy for the guys serving at the tilt. Only let down , on both occasions the two ladies taking the order at the tilt were short of smiles and kind of didn’t make you feel welcome.

Located in an arcade off Newton Rd in Mumbles this very popular coffee shop is a good choice if you can find a table. It is however also popular with dog owners who are allowed to bring their pets in which can be a bit off putting for other customers. Good coffee but you are rather on top of each – private conversations are a no no here.

Enjoyed a delicious salad, although other meals looked good too. The coffee is of a good quality and a bonus if you're a dog owner because they're accepted too !

Would have enjoyed my visit but for another customer's flatulent dog ...not the dog's fault or the dog owners I suppose ....but it spoilt my experience and had to leave .....really don't understand why Cafe owners agree to have dogs inside an eating establishment, fair enough outside ....but not inside.

Hard to find but well worth the effort. We were looking for a coffee shop in Mumbles and found this through reading reviews and weren't disappointed. Very friendly staff, pleasant surrounding and varied menu. We enjoyed our coffee so much we went bak for lunch.

We haven't been here for a while they have increased the size of the place. It is very popular really buzzing, a Good range of Coffees & other drinks at a reasonable price. Friendly & helpful staff

It is a nice coffee shop run by really great people. The coffee shop hides in the Arcade on Newton Road in Mumbles. It is a small place but the atmosphere and service are wonderful. They are also helpful with food intolerance, providing different milk/gluten free/nut free things to tempt even the most difficult of eaters .

We had a hard time finding parking in Mumbles as it was peak holiday season. So we were glad to stumble upon Mumbles Coffee, a really cool place for coffee, cake, toasties, and a rest before we embarked on our walk round Bracelet Bay. Restrooms are just outside the shop.

Been frequenting this establishment since it's opening, usually superb coffee. However they are a victim of their own success,they have doubled the floorspace and struggle when it's full.

What a fab place... tucked away off the main street, but well worth it. Super service , comfy chairs yummy food and now I’m a long black convert. Delicious☕️

Excellent coffee house in the arcade with the best coffee in Mumbles. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with attractive decor and lovely crockery, and the staff are friendly and obliging. Good range of hot and cold snacks which are attractively presented, sensibly priced and very tasty. Always busy because it is so good. As a local I have tried all the cafes and restaurants in Mumbles over the years, and this one is the best by miles.

We visited Mumbles Coffee for breakfast whilst staying in the area. Very nice coffee house with friendly staff. The coffee was of excellent quality and I can highly recommend the homemade granola with Greek yogurt and fresh fruit. Highly recommend.

Searching for good cup of coffee at the Mumbles, I had seen reviews of Mumbles coffee, but could not find it until we headed down a little arcade of shops and there it was. Coffee was good and strong and well made, temperature was right, and the flavour lingered. Highly recommended

Been there several times now. Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Outstanding coffee (and I am a tea drinker, persuaded here to drink coffee). Very quick service, orders brought to the table.

We had a really yummy lunch here, and the service was very friendly, but our food took ages. We were told to expect a 15min wait because they were so busy, but it took over half an hour. The staff were doing their best, but they need more food prep space and better systems to cope with the number of tables.

Quick stop whilst shopping - flat white was lovely and picked up a bag of Mumbles coffee beans. Friendly staff ground it for me. Didn’t have cake today but the selection looked great.

A, cosy corner with super coffee (the best cortado I’ve enjoyed for months). Keen prices, lovely staff, nice bits to eat. What more could you want?

Lovely place to call in with friends or family for a coffee and enjoy the view. Also recommended for visitors to the area as service is excellent, and you are made welcome at all times.

I love this coffee shop and have been coming for years. Haven't been since the extension and it's lovely that you have more chance of getting a table! The atmosphere is so relaxing and free water and papers and magazines. I had a warm almond croissant with a cappuccino, very tasty. Staff very friendly and free wi-fi.

One of my favourite destinations after a walk along Swansea promenade from Blackpill to Mumbles. Mumbles coffee is tucked away inside Castleton Walk Arcade which gives the village a special character. You can enjoy a warm and friendly welcome. The coffee is very nice and great to see a variety of milk options on display for choice. Helping your self to a glass of water makes you feel at home!

Lovely little coffee shop in the heart of the village. Gets really busy though, which says it all. Coffee is excellent, as is the food.

Excellent coffee and nice cakes. There soup is also quite tempting and the pannini. Probably the best coffee shop in Mumbles. Don't be put off by the arcade, there is an excellent bakery opposite and soft play centre for the children

I popped in here for a cup of coffee with my daughter. It’s the first time I’d visited since they have extended it. It was still hard to get a seat. Fortunately the coffee was still good - a cappuccino which wasn’t a load of froth. Would recommend this to anyone.

Myself and my family were visiting The Mumbles and we found this wonderful little coffee shop whilst browsing the town. It was cosy, very friendly service and delicious coffee. Beautifully done, we will definitely be back! It is always great to find independent businesses busy too!

Recently extended the cafe. This is a dog friendly coffee house, making lovely coffee, chai latte and CAKES!

I regularly visit here mid morning to pick up a takeaway coffee and one of their tempting pastries during my delivery job role in Mumbles. Excellent coffee and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you are in Mumbles

Had lunch here recently and was really impressed with the food (tuna panini served with a side salad) and coffee. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere cosy and welcoming even though it has been extended. Lovely place, will definitely return.

Always popular and recently extended into unit next door. Despite more than doubling floor space it still fills up quickly - proof of its good coffee and pleasant staff.

Tucked away, this unassuming coffee shop is a true delight. From the delicious home made food and perfect coffee to the fantastically relaxing atmosphere... its so easy to confess that this is the best coffee house this coffee addict has ever experienced.

Found this cafe after seeing the reviews on TripAdvisor. We stopped in for a snack/light lunch but were a bit disappointed when we went to order the soup from the menu, only to be told that it is a 'seasonal' dish and only served from September onwards. Left a bit clueless as to what to choose, my husband and I shared a gluten free chocolate brownie and a vegan peanut butter flapjack slice. One daughter had a tuna panini and the other had a salted caramel frappuccino with a piece of millionaire's shortbread. Our cakes appeared to be homemade and were delicious - we couldn't decide which was the best but I think the gf brownie won my vote, it was so rich, moist and fudgy with crunchy nut pieces spread throughout. The panini was large with a generous amount of tuna filling. The frappuccino was a bit sickly sweet and artificial-tasting but our daughter enjoyed it. The price was over £3 so quite hefty for what is essentially ice and milk blended with a bit of syrup. We couldn't see the wifi password anywhere and as there were quite a few customers both already seated and arriving, we didn't get an opportunity to ask anyone - perhaps it could be written somewhere or given to customers when they pay at the till? For such a small venue they have a good quality selection of food and drink options, catering for a variety of dietary requirements. We'd certainly go back if we were in the area.

My wife and I visited twice while on holiday in Mumbles, and both occasions the staff were friendly, and we were made to feel very welcome, they serve great coffee, and their cakes are to die for, we will defiantly be back next year, oh and free WiFi.

Lovely small cafe hidden away in the arcade. Nice and cool in the recent hot spell and nice and cosy in the winter. Lovely coffee, cakes and paninis. Great for meeting friends or just a quiet read of the paper.

There a quite a few places to have a coffee in Mumbles, I have tried them all but in my book, the best is in this fab. little family run coffee shop in the arcade. I call in every Monday morning to met with friends and have coffee and perhaps a slice of homemade cake and then have a take away one and either a panini or a salad, all made fresh to order. I have been coming here for over two years and it never disappoints.

Love the place I am in there at least once a week, great sweet and savoury options but the best bit is the coffee. The staff are great as well and they are dog friendly.

Set in a quiet arcade in the heart of Mumbles, this little gem is a big hit with locals due to its friendly staff and wonderful coffee. I think I've drunk over 100 Americans there and never had a bad one! Delicious cakes and light lunches served too.

We visited on a Tuesday afternoon in March and were not surprised this wonderful coffee shop was nearly full, people have obviously cottoned on. Staff are extremely efficient, polite and the coffee is superb. All the snacks and cakes on display looked amazing.

We've visited here a few times. Can't believe we've only just 'discovered it' as locals to the area. Warm, cosy, friendly, dog-friendly. Coffee is good. But taste the banana cake, just out of the oven. Worth 5 stars on its own.

A double flat white is the only way to start your shopping trip in Mumbles and this gem of a cafe is full of locals who spurn Costa for the real deal coffee shop experience. I have been told by visitors from Australia that their coffee is as good as you can get in Sydney which apparently is high praise.

We visited this cafe based on trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed.

We stopped in for lunch. My wife had the chicken and avocado wrap and she said the wrap was dry, almost as if it had been next to a heat source or maybe the packet had been left open for a while as they do harden up pretty quick. I had the Ham and Brie panini which hit the mark. There was some confusion over the coffee. I ordered a long black and was given an Americano, yes there is a difference and you would expect a coffee shop to know but hey ho it tasted good anyway. The cafe is pretty small and if you sit outside they provide lap blankets, after all it is Wales and it can be cold! Generally ok but not on my re visit list.

Mumbles coffee is tucked away midway along the short Castleton Walk Arcade and is well worth looking out for. Fresh looking the staff were friendly and welcoming. Good selection of drinks and eats, although on this, our first occasion we settled for only a cappuccino, Chai Latte and croissant. Think we might make it a regular stop off.

Love the coffee and cakes in this place. Only complaint is its small and often difficult to get a table.

Whilst strolling down the high street ducking out the rain we stumbled across Mumbles Coffee tucked away and we’re very glad we did! Good coffee, dog friendly and a nice variety of cakes, lunches and breakfasts including gluten free and vegan options! Even sitting outside you’re sheltered from the rain and there’s blankets available if you do get cold!

I've been visiting Mumbles Coffee since it first opened and go there regularly. I drink my coffee black, but in other places, I often have to have milk with it as it is too strong or bitter, not so at Mumbles Coffee! A black Americano comes with a jug of hot water as standard. Excellent range of home made cakes, including gluten free. Also, panninis, sandwiches, wraps, salads soups and other tasty treats always available. Good service from friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. Child and dog friendly too!

This place, hidden away in the arcade halfway up Newton Road, has a strong and long-standing local reputation for good-quality coffee as you can see from the many excellent reviews. However, I think I'll have to file it under 'good' rather than 'great'. My flat white was slightly bitter: I don't know whether the barista over-extracted the espresso, or the beans weren't as fresh as they might be, but either way I was a little bit disappointed. However, it could have been a rare off-day, the place is cosy and has more to offer than just drinks, so I'll return someday for another try.

Great coffee & cakes at a reasonable price. It is good to visit a local business rather than support a chain. We noticed from the menu board that there was an excellent variety of drinks. As we were there late in the afternoon the choice of cakes was a bit more limited but presumably everything is fresh so this is bound to happen late on a Saturday afternoon. Nice staff too & a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely visit here again.

A must visit when I'm in Swansea. Great Coffee and friendly staff. The Avocado and Feta on sourdough toast is definitely worth a try.

Hidden away in the arcade. Three men running the shop but very friendly and efficient. Coffee was delicious - smooth and creamy. Had the feta and avocado on sour dough toast - yummy. Also had the peanut slice - very moreish. We are going back tomorrow to try the frapacinno.

This is a really friendly, homely coffee shop. The decaff coffee is excellent and the cake selection even at 4pm on a Saturday was very tempting. Service is prompt without being pushy and the whole experience is one that will definitely be repeated.

Such a wonderful haven for coffee lovers: lovely, knowledgeable staff with an obvious passion for coffee, great selection of cakes (including homemade gluten-free!) and most importantly, fantastic coffee :-) The flat white with almond milk is so good, and for coffee fanatics there is a great selection of coffee accessories available to buy. The latest addition to the food menu - avocado and feta on toasted sourdough - is so fresh and delicious. And you always get service with a smile :-) Love it!

Recently visited the coffee shop with friends and enjoyed a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere....great coffee and a great choice of cakes and savoury food....hard to choose what to have !! The staff were very friendly cheerful and helpful and would definitely return.

Best cappuccino in Mumbles. Only downside is it is so small so sometimes we can't get a table as it is usually busy.

We call in here when we visit Mumbles. The attention to detail is great. We have Americano and it comes with our requested hot milk, and a jug of hot water in case the coffee is too strong.

It deserves a visit to drink its coffee. The staff is charming and always smiling. Just stopped there for some cappucino, though it had the milk a little bit burnt, it is still a good coffee.

Recently visited here and my wife and I had a Cortado. We both found it excellent. The place is small and cosy, so we needed to sit outside in the Arcade but this was still OK, despite it being November.

I love Mumbles Coffee shop. Not only ar ethe woners really friendly, the coffee is quite simply one of the best I've ever tasted, if not THE best. And I drink a lot of coffee. The coffee shop is a pleasant, relaxing spot, just off the main road and is nicely decorated and well looked after. The cakes are also terrific and it is a challenge not to buy a cake every time I have coffee!

Always a must visit when I'm in the local area. Can't fault the lovely coffee, opted for Long Bkack this visit , which was really good. The staff were helpful and friendly.

the chocolate brownie was great!! Moist and delicious, best part is that it's home made! And the coffee was great too - just a shame that the chocolate cake had already sold out... At 9am!!

This is situated in the small arcade in Mumbles and is quaint ,the service was very good and a nice selection of natural foods.The coffee was very good and the Chicken,pesto and sun dried tomatoes panini was very good quality.

The people who run this out of the way in Mumbles COFFE E SHOP are keeping a HUGE SECRET - - - I was privilage to stumble upon this great outstanding small but Very Beautiful COFFE drinking experience!!!!! Not only that they excell in all home made products of the out of this World sweet products!!!!they also make to order sandwiches of many veried varieties of breads made speedily to order / They will also let you plug into their wifi system to read your emails for no extra charge as it was all part of the service!!!!

We were looking for a coffee in the Mumbles. This little coffee shop is situated in an arcade. First impressions weren't great but were we wrong!!! The coffee was extremely good and the service outstanding. Very friendly place obviously enjoyed by locals.

After having dreadful experience at a near by cafe earlier in the day, thankfully we stumbled upon Mumbles Coffee whilst hiding from the rain. Excellent brew served by knowledgable friendly staff in pleasant comfortable surroundings; selection of teas, sarnies,cakes and snacks are also available. Enjoyed so much that we bought a couple of packs of ground coffee and put our pod coffee machine at home in the cupboard and got out the cafetiere!

There are many places to get coffee in Mumbles, but Mumbles Coffee is absolutely the place to get the best coffee. Super friendly staff, laid back atmosphere, and delicious food (breakfast, cakes, salads, paninis). You know somewhere is good when you only live up the road but would rather hang out here!
