Had a fab veggie curry here on Saturday night - it was delicious!

Had a warm and friendly welcome, food was lovely and plenty of it. Great pub, staff were all very friendly. Highly recommended.

I ordered a 10-ounce rump steak, which came with large chips that were cut from a potato. And my wife ordered a burger, which is absolutely delicious. The food here is absolutely 10 out of 10. Can't recommend it enough. The staff were very attentive, extremely polite, would love to come here again

A fantastic family run pub. We were made very welcome when we popped in for a drink. Booked a table for the Saturday night. Had a first class meal. The Rump steak and lamb chops were cooked to perfection. Would recommend to anyone to try this gem of pub out. Thank you to all the team, we will be back. Keep up the hard work.

Beautiful cosy pub with great food and awesome staff. I travelled over an hour and it didnt disappoint. Roll on summer when we can come back and seat outside.

Had Sunday lunch what wasn’t to like, plenty of it, Yorkshire puddings were huge, beef was lovely & plenty of veg, gravy to go around a table of 12, staff were friendly & helpful. We even had just that bit of room for dessert which was so nice

Lovely staff, the score just reflects the food we had. Unfortunately just ate a few chips and left the rest. The chicken was dirty like the grill had never been cleaned before. It left a charcoal taste in my mouth. Again lovely staff and service but the food.. let’s just say catfish as on their website/trip advisor it looks great..

Had a meal this evening for my husbands 30th birthday, we didn't wait long and the food arrived quickly & was pipping hot. Proper home cooked meal big mention about the amazing home made chips. Great portions size was to full for a pudding. Will definitely be returning. Thank you

Absolutely lovely place! We stopped there on our way to Brecon and had a Sunday roast, it was just delicious. Proper homemade food at a great price and a cosy atmosphere. Will certainly go back!

What a fabulous find - coming out of Brecon with a lovely Beer garden opposite. Friendly, helpful staff and a big car park. The food was delicious, hot, plentiful and delicious. The staff were polite and efficient and we both thoroughly enjoyed. It got busy as the evening went by and the atmosphere was great - we had a lovely evening and have now eaten here a few times.

Friendly pub for the locals with nice food

Had a lovely evening meal for the family. Everything was fresh and beautifully cooked I can certainly recommend the food.

Lovely food freshly prepared and served quickly. First time in a very long time I couldn't finish a starter and main. The desert I was looking forward to had to be sacrificed!

Great atmosphere and great food and staff

Amazing Sunday lunch ( eat in or take away) but not only that.. very good selection in regular menu as well as special board. All food home made- even chips! Very friendly and accommodating staff! Good choice of vegetarian dishes. All in all can't fault it ! :)

Another amazing meal, the steak was amazing, best cooked steak I have had for so long. Lamb and mint burger was gorgeous too. Staff are very friendly and helpful, fab atmosphere. Highly recommended. 😁

Had the most amazing 3 course meal here, including their Sunday roast (all three meats offered). Affordable prices for such great quality and quantity. Staff are really accommodating and wonderful atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Come here every Sunday & always have the very best meal. Not sure what some people are talking about as the whole team cannot do enough for you. Weekday meals are also top quality, fab specials board & the ribs are definitely a must

We went to the Royal Welsh show in Builth Wells and stayed for 5 nights, it's just a 20 minute drive from the showground so was ideal to drive in each day and come back of an evening, the accommodation is basic but has every amenity, breakfast was also included in the price, we ate each evening and the food was of a very good quality and price, service was also very good, we would like to thank Beca , Richard and Nathan the chef , they have not long taken charge of the pub and I think they are doing a great job, well worth a visit if you're in the area, Dave and Carole

Showed up right before the kitchen closed and was fed an amazing veg curry and veg burger, with all the trimmings. Everyone was so friendly and professional and the atmosphere was great. They kept the kitchen open in case we wanted dessert and when we ordered one sticky toffee pudding gave us an enormous portion because we were sharing! Kind, lovely, good food - definitely go here, even if you just want a pint!

We passed this pub a couple of times on our travels from our holiday cottage. Decided to drop in for a much needed decent meal and so glad we did. Lovely warm welcome by these new owners who clearly want to make a success of it. Good honest pub grub but done exceptionally well. The home cooked skin on chips were amazing and we certainly did not leave hungry! Well worth a visit.

ON our way to a family christening and in desperate 'need' of a toilet facility! (we knew the ancient church of ST David's Llandew did not have one...) Not knowing the area, we pulled up in the carpark, and Chef Nathan was outside with his huge friendly hound! He SO kindly let us use the B & B apartment suite. WHAT a delightful B&B suite it is. Would definitely choose to stay here if on a longer trip.

Stopped by last minute on Saturday and had an excellent steak meal. Friendly pub.

We stayed the night using Britstops in our motorhome. Rebecca Harry, our host and new landlady was very helpful and good company,as where the locals. The food and drinks where spot on and good value for money, we will use again.

Stopped in with some friends who had come down for a visit. Hot afternoon so decided to eat in the beer garden. Food was really good quality, so no complaints from any of us. Table service was excellent...staff friendly and attentive. 5 stars.

We stayed here for a night in this lovely pub/B&B with Richard and Rebecca & family. Even though they had not been there long they were the perfect hosts the food was 10/10 room was lovely very comfortable bed Definitely recommend Thanks again Mike & Caren

Outstanding Sunday lunch, with a great veggie options using Glamorgan sausages. Are far too much because it was all delicious, including the puddings! A really nice family run local pub. We’ll be back!

Well what can i say !! Such a lovely hospitable country pub , excellent service, great food . Just happened to be so lucky as to visit on the day when meals were on offer at 2 for 1 prices (tuesday) what more could a tourist want or need and at a time of the day when we were all touristed out!🤷‍♂️ (5pm-9pm) Apologies for not visiting earlier . Staff very helpful and very tasty food

Really hoped for a nice Sunday lunch but it was spoilt by slow service and terrible vegetables. It's difficult to get peas and carrots wrong but... Have been previously and eaten well, perhaps it's just an off day.

We went for an evening meal and chose to eat in the bar area. There is a separate dining room as well. Very clean comfortable pub atmosphere. The darts team was having a warm up before departing for an away match. The new landlord and landlady are working hard to make this a real pub with food that is rare these days. Our food was well prepared and the main courses were substantial so you will never go home hungry. Well priced straight forward pub grub.

Good service, fire was lit (24th Jan) so the bar and lounge were toasty warm. I had the chicken nuggets n chips (the main restaurant was closed, so only basket meals), the chips were crispy and I should have gone for sauce, but for some reason I said no. A great little stop when exploring.
