lovely little place in the heart of hay on wye, went with my gf and we had a lovely lunch, excellent service and the food was amazing!

This is the spot. If you’re in Hay, you gotta come here. The food is top quality, the service is lovely! (Mary was so nice🥰) i had the portobello and avocado burger and my partner had the grilled chicken burger, both pf the were unreal, so so tasty! The bun, the home made coleslaw the rosemary chips and the pickles! We will be back for this!!!

Genuinely the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. Fried jalapeño bites are also a stand out. All of our food was excellent- highly recommended.

Great experience and burgers here. I had dietary requirements of no dairy and no egg but the burger was tailored to exactly to what I could have and didn't feel like I was missing out or compromising on flavour. Really nice and helpful staff. Sides were also top notch

Meh, the place has an open kitchen & insufficient extraction, so they rely on the door being wide open to make up for this. We basically sat in cold restaurant & still stank of food when we left. Thanks for that...

We shared the blue cheese burger and the loaded fries and they both exceeded expectations. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and the loaded fries were positively an indulgence. The chef usually makes the fries with Korean chicken, but made it with beef as per our request. We loved every bite. It was plenty of food for two, and even with our beverages the bill came to less than 30 quid. Mandy, our server, was friendly and helpful throughout the service.

Brilliant burgers, plenty of vegetarian/vegan choices too. Beautiful little restaurant with a relaxed, trendy & country feel to it.

When entering I didn’t expect to be wowed as I did, highly recommend everything in the menu down to the corn on the cob. We ordered the loaded fries, when I say you need to order two I’m not over exaggerating, it was so on point I could have done with another portion. My sister who does not really enjoy fast food devoured her burger in a matter of minutes! One improvement that can be made is that the diet cokes were too watered down.

Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve tried. The fried jalapeño bites as well were perfect. Very friendly staff and a lovely beer garden. You’re missing out if you don’t stop off here! My girlfriend is vegan and they have great vegan friendly options so another bonus.

Burgers nice - a little overpriced however it seems the norm these days. Chips ok. Bit of strange one for me - 5 star rating but not sure how it can be! (Without going into detail) Staff were a little awkward.. however we were the only ones in there. Would I go back - I don’t think so.

The chorizo burger was so tasty and a very generous portion. The fries were also delicious with just the right amount of salt! We would definitely visit again - we highly recommend these burgers!

We called at Burger Me whilst on a short stay in Hay on Wye. Staff were friendly when we booked the table and also when we were seated. We are both vege so ordered the halloumi burger with rosemary infused chips. We've got to say these are probably the most unpleasant burgers we've had and it's all to do the bread bun. It was excessivly greasy and floppy. When we were watching the chef we could see why, he was buttering the bread buns and then not sure if they went into the microwave? Really unpleasant so we ate the middle and left most of the bun. Also I have to say I'm not sure where the rosemary flavour was in the chips but we couldn't find it. We weren't impressed with the chef double dipping into whatever he was cooking and was eating most of the time he was cooking, whilst scratching his head!

Honestly a friendly atmosphere with a chatty chef, top quality burgers without the ocean of grease. Would go again 100%

Excellent food unless you have an allergy. My wife's gluten free bread burger had to be sent back as it was not what she had ordered; when it finally arrived, her side order had gone stone cold. Food may well have been gluten free but was contaminated during the preparation or serving up. Side orders were served separate from the accompanying meals so some of the party had to wait 15 mins+ for the burgers- lovely burger with cold fries! Unprofessional approach by staff who did not handle complaints well. No priority given to young childrens orders, they arrived after parents meals. Considering that they are open until 8pm, they started dismantling tables and removing chairs around us at 7:30.

Located in the downstairs of the art institute, you won't go hungry here. Excellent selection of burgers (inc veggie, and I think vegan, options) and various fried sides. My steak and cheese burger was huge, actually had a whole steak and the burger patty, and was delicious. Disappointed that I was so full that I couldn't eat more than a couple of the battered brie bites. Milkshakes also looked amazing. Worked out about £120 for 4 adults and 4 kids.
